If you're deciding on how much to invest in your wedding day photographer, book Kaitlin Powell. She was worth everything and more. Kaitlin was a blessing from the first day we met. Not only did she connect with me and my (now) husband personally, but she kept everything professional. Her demeanor created a space for my husband and me to relax with each other during our engagement session. By the time our wedding came around, we felt like pros.
We are three months after our wedding and we're still getting compliments of our wedding photos. Our day was a day where I've never felt so beautiful and Kaitlin captured every angle. Not only did she capture every detail of our wedding venue, flowers, cookie table, table settings, etc., but she captured almost all the smiles of our guests. Our day was filled with love and joy and it illuminated through our wedding photos. My husband I will cherish Kaitlin, her efforts, and her talent for the rest of our lives. -

Leaving this review even before we get our wedding photos back just because Kaitlin is THAT incredible. We knew from the initial phone conversation we had with her that she was the perfect match for us, both for our engagement shoot and as our wedding photographer. She is so warm and bubbly and makes even the most uncomfortable/awkward people (me) feel so at ease in front of the camera! The first time we met was for our engagement photoshoot and I told her how anxious I was about being photographed. She completely understood and was her charming, funny self throughout the session and it wound up being such a fun experience for me and my partner. Fast forward to our wedding day last week and all I can really say is WOW. With everything that's going on during the day, it's incredibly easy to get stressed out, flustered, and overwhelmed, especially if things don't go as perfectly as planned. Kaitlin showed up so relaxed and excited, gave me a big hug the second she saw me, and it immediately calmed me down. At one point after I had gotten into my dress and we were doing portraits before the ceremony, she noticed that some makeup had gotten on my dress. Right away, she got on her knees to try to take care of it herself, all while remaining calm. She reassured me that she could edit it out of all of the pictures (if it even showed up in them), and that if my dress didn't get dirty on my wedding day, then we didn't do it right! It would've been SO easy for me to have let that ruin my day, but her comforting words of wisdom put me at ease and allowed me to have the absolute BEST time at our wedding. After all, since the first stain was out of the way, all the pressure of keeping it clean was already off! It was so easy to work with Kaitlin and her team. She is always so friendly and eager to help however she can, she's VERY responsive to communication, and goes above and beyond for her clients. I can't wait for another opportunity to use her and will absolutely be recommending her to anyone I know looking for a photographer. We cannot say enough good things about Kaitlin!! -

Kaitlin worked with me and my husband for our June 2022 wedding. It's our anniversary and I wanted to celebrate by FINALLY writing reviews. Kaitlin was so friendly and responsive in our initial correspondence and lived up to her positive attitude in person. My partner and I are not photo people, we don't have very many photos together and aren't really relaxed in front of a camera-- enter Kaitlin-- we had so much fun at our engagement photo shoot! She helped us with outfit and location suggestions (both before hand and during the session!). We were really really really happy with the results and the added comfort from engagement photos helping us feel more sure we made the right decision for our big day. During wedding planning, Kaitlin was helpful with suggestions and dealt with my planning anxiety LIKE A PRO! She was great the day of and our photos turned out great! We were waiting for the email with photos like a dog looking for the mailman lol. They were excellent and more than expected! Definitely recommend Kaitlin for your event, do an engagement session, and book her for as many hours as you possibly can on the day of! All the best, M -

My husband and I both picked Kaitlin Powell as our first choice for wedding photographers because her photos have such a great balance between modern/moody editing and really natural, relaxed, and romantic poses. We also loved the diversity and inclusivity we noticed in her work which made us feel great about hiring her. Kaitlin has an incredible knack for making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and getting you to relax and enjoy the process. I really didn’t think we needed engagement photos, but we ended up loving ours, and our wedding photos are even better! She captured all of our joy and excitement on the day in spontaneous and beautiful photos that we will treasure for years to come.
