Damaged Product, Owner Refused to Fix- Go Elsewhere
We ordered two wine barrel heads from this vendor. We had one made for our wedding with the wedding date on their; however, we had to cancel our wedding due to Covid. We had a new wine barrel made at full price with our new wedding date.
The product had ash marks over the middle of our last name, which is on top of where they laser engraved. I took photos and sent it to the owner asking if they could correct it, but she said that it was not their fault and that that's just how the barrels come. After kindly asking her to reconsider fixing it, she said she noticed that my photo was different from the one she sent so perhaps it was damaged in transit. I then asked her, if it was damaged in transit, they why should I be expected to not have this fixed. The owner told me that she was ”offended.” I am absolutely insulted by the way I was treated after spending nearly $400 for two wine barrel heads, when a blank board costs about $25/each. Buyer beware, the reviews are not accurate on Etsy because they “cancelled” my order so I couldn't write a review.
See attached photo of ash mark that the owner said is natural to the barrels (but just happens to be on top of where the engraving is) and large gap from poorly installing the mounting bracket.
Lastly, this owner threatened me for posting this review and said she was going to report me. BUYER BEWARE!

Kapp Studio's reply:
This is in violation of ETSY's policies and will be reported to them. Her item was damaged in transit, but she was having none of us repairing it. She would only accept a NEW one at no cost. She had zero interest in returning this one to us for repair. Blanks are not $25 and since she knows everything, she should have no problem creating her own. She was very disparaging, difficult to work with, and unrelenting. We refunded her order without getting a return because some people cannot be satisfied unfortunately.
