From our first Zoom "meeting" to receiving our engagement photos, Kara was kind, professional, and truly helped us feel relaxed (we were a bit nervous!). She truly captured our personalities and provided us with keepsakes we'll forever cherish. We couldn't be more elated with our photos and are forever grateful! -

I'm still hearing positive comments from our family on how amazing Kara (and her second photographer) were on our wedding day. She was so relaxed, funny, and brought a sense of calm to a hectic day. As a photographer, she was focused, communicated clearly, and made everything easy at every point in our planning process. I felt like she got our style and personality as soon as we had our first call. We just got our final photos back and we couldn't be happier! Just book Kara already. -

We. Are. Obsessed.
Where can we even start with Kara…. We are obsessed. We first booked her for our engagement photoshoot, and the moment we returned home from our shoot, we reached out to her and booked her for our wedding because we couldn’t imagine our day with anyone else. Throughout our entire wedding experience, Kara made us feel so comfortable and natural. She goes above and beyond to get to know you as a more than just clients, and really treats you like friends that she deeply cares about. By the time our wedding, we were so excited to have Kara around as our trusted photographer AND friend. Her work is truly stunning, and all of our photos from both engagement and the wedding are more gorgeous than we could have ever dreamed of! Booking Kara will be the easier vendor choice you make for your wedding, and we would choose her a million times over if we could (and we will, because she better be ready for us to call on her for photos for the rest of our lives!!). -

Kara is not just a photographer, she is a super hero! Our big day went so much smoother with her, not to mention our photos are beautiful! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Kara was absolutely phenomenal to work with! We had a vision for our engagement photos and she completely exceeded all expectations. I loved her ability to make us feel immediately comfortable, bringing fun and laughter into the space. She was so agile and creative, really checking off all the boxes on my list! Quick turn-around on the finished product as well; turned out beautifully! Will be needing to tap her for our wedding! -

**Updating my review because Kara also shot our elopement!**
We are so beyond happy that we booked Kara as our wedding photographer!
When COVID 19 happened and we didn't know what will happen to our wedding, Kara was very professional and made sure to keep in touch with us. She was also very flexible and understanding, since our plans changed a couple of times during the course of the pandemic (went from full wedding, to downsized, then to an elopement all together).
During this difficult time she was always excited about our event and that excitement was comforting and contagious. Thank you Kara!
Needless to say, she met with us before our elopement to discuss what photo moments were most important to us, she also sent us a thorough questionnaire to fill out. So that she knows exactly what shots we wanted.
On the day of our wedding she was professional, on time and cheery as ever! She was also very helpful since I didn't have anyone there to help me get ready.
She made the whole process feel natural and comfortable. We had such a great time that we almost lost track of time!
You really want a vendor who is just as excited as you about your special day, and Kara is definitely that person! She was so excited to edit the photos, we had some sneak peeks from her in literally hours after our ceremony! How amazing is that!? Not to mention all of them turned out gorgeous! The composition and story telling of these photos perfectly capture our relationship in our favorite city :)

We got lucky and won a mini session with Kara!
She was super flexible on scheduling the date, sent a very professional breakdown of our mini session , and helped us come up with a fun theme for the shoot! We ended up doing a pizza and beer picnic in the park.
The shoot was super fun and natural. She has a great eye for composition and is great at suggesting poses that feel natural and look great in photos. Kara made us laugh so much during the shoot and kept up the conversation that whole time we didn’t even notice that our time was up!
She was just as excited about our shoot as we were and just in few days we had our photos!
We were so happy with the results and her customer service, that we decided to book her for our wedding! -

Amazing experience!
We could not be more happy with our decision to work with Kara for our July 2021 wedding in Portland, Maine. Kara is a woman after my own heart - bubbly, warm, and quick to laugh, but also extremely organized and detail-oriented. I didn’t have a wedding planner, and Kara really was my go-to person when I was trying to wrap my head around the planning process. She had lots of good advice for the timeline of the day, and reached out over email with reminders to make sure I had everything lined up in time. On the day of the wedding, Kara was really our captain - I didn’t have to check on the time or worry about where people were, because she was at my side and in command the whole time, without ever being overbearing. All of our family and friends commented on her friendliness and professionalism, which was important to us, because it was a small and intimate wedding, so all of our vendors were a big part of the “vibe” of the day. Kara’s style also emphasized the aspects of the day that were most important to us - the beautiful scenery of our location, and the candid moments of joy with our loved ones. The final photos are a treasure, and everyone who sees them says the same thing: “you look so happy!” We only wish we had splurged on more hours! There’s plenty of sticker shock in wedding planning, but Kara is worth every penny. I would encourage anyone to book Kara for your next special event, and to make as much room in your budget as possible to have her there from beginning to end. Thank you, Kara!!
PS one quick note for Maine brides - Kara specializes in travel photography, but she also spends many summers in Maine. We were looking for an in-state team due to the COVID context, and were lucky to be referred to her by our videographer. Put her on your list if you're looking for photographers in Maine for a summer wedding! -

Kara is AMAZING!! I personally know her from college and have followed her work for years. When I got engaged I KNEW I wanted her to photograph my wedding. I contacted her before I had even booked venue or picked a date. My wedding was based around her availability! She is extremely professional, LOADS of fun and made the day so stress free. All of our guests kept raving about how much they loved Kara and the photos are even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! We will truly cherish them forever. Book Kara & you will NOT regret it!! Easiest decision about the wedding that we made. She even traveled from NYC to Nashville to photograph our day! We will definitely book Kara for future events in our lives and have told everyone about how great she is! -

I’m going to be honest... before booking with Kara in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, I read through all of her reviews and scrolled through her entire portfolio before contacting her about booking. Most of her reviews sounded “too good to be true”? But I’m here to tell you, ITS NOT. She 100% puts in the work, is kind, funny, encouraging, and knows EXACTLY what she is doing.
When I say we were stressed before the photoshoot I mean – 2 hr drive from Pennsylvania, taking an hour to find parking, changing on the sidewalk, and practically running (breaking a sweat) to the meeting spot. Once we saw Kara walking towards us (hiding behind the hotdog vendor) all of our stress literally vanished. Kara has such high (and kind) energy which is extremely comforting and exactly what we needed to keep the photoshoot moving and candid without feeling awkward in front of a camera. 2 hours went by like 5 minutes. She was totally down to follow us into a spontaneous location on the spot during the shoot. She made us laugh the whole time. It was like catching up with one of those friends that you haven’t seen in months or years and picking up right where you left off. I cannot recommend Kara enough. We are so thrilled we finally got to work with her for this HIGHLY ANTICIPATED photoshoot. We cannot thank her enough for being so flexible with our ever changing schedule due to covid and for just being down right ready for anything!

Kara is not only talented and captured beautiful photos for us, she is so fun to work with. I really appreciated her attention to detail and guidance in the planning process. We made the tough decision to get married this Spring, early in the pandemic, and Kara was so understanding and helpful. She made things work for us so photography was one less thing we had to worry about, which is a huge deal for a corona bride! Her support for us during that time meant a lot and was a huge contribution to making our day go smoother. We are so happy with our decision. Kara is not only an excellent photographer, but an all around great service provider. -

Simply the Best
The minute I saw Kara's IG I was interested; and within seconds of meeting her I knew she was the one. I felt like we had a great first date - the kind where you leave and want to text them right away because you've already got something to tell them. We just clicked. From that moment all the way through capturing our wedding she has been amazing - an absolute professional, fun, creative, and responsive. I found her energy very calming on what is a typically crazy/busy day. Within just a couple days she turned around our first look and the results do not disappoint - her work is perfection. She nailed it. I could not be happier, I'd use her again for any and all life's events, and don't hesitate to recommend her highly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Kara - you are the best! xo -
