  Karlo is fantastic

  Karlo is amazing! Him and his teammate Dan shot the most beautiful photos of our wedding (and we've only seen the previews). His shots are so precise and well executed, that he pulled up ~35 of them from throughout the day and had them out on a ipad for a slideshow at our wedding reception. Some of these shots were only taken minutes before!
  
  On top of their photography skills, Karlo and Dan are so laid back and good with directing photos. They seamlessly fit into our wedding day.
  
  We couldn't recommend them more. If you are even thinking about hiring Karlo, just do it. You won't regret it. We will be recommending him to all of our friends and family!

  It is hard to put into words how thrilled we are that we hired Karlo for our engagement and wedding photos. Karlo is extremely talented and has such a natural gift for photography. Beyond that, he is a really nice, fun and pleasant person to be around, who seems to have the ability to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. He came to Washington, DC, where we live, for our engagement photos - beforehand I showed him a few Pinterest ideas that I liked and wanted to recreate, which we did, but Karlo's own ideas were even better than the ones I thought I had to have. We spent several hours with him and his second shooter and by the end of the day, not only did we have amazing photos, but we also felt like we had new friends. We met with Karlo one other time before our wedding, at our venue, since he had not shot there before and wanted to make sure he knew all of the best places for pictures. He has a great eye, and we loved all of our pictures from our wedding day even more than we expected. Karlo is very responsive and turned our photos around quickly. He set up a sneak peek slideshow of photos from getting ready and the ceremony at our reception, which we and all of our guests loved. We also used Karlo's photo booth set up - he had fun props and a nice background, and we got digital copies of all of the photo booth pictures within a couple of days of the wedding (along with digital copies of all of the sneak peek photos as well). In short, Karlo is a great person, is an extremely talented photographer, and is extremely professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, and hope that I get the chance to work with him again in the future!

  I would recommend Karlo on every wedding site on the interwebs if it was possible. Karlo photographed our wedding in July and truly captured the spirit of the day perfectly. He was innovative, attentive, flexible and funny. For normal people who aren't used to being "paparazzi'd" he created a very comfortable environment where the photographs happened organically and naturally. I have been stopped by peripheral fb friends who just wanted to tell me that our wedding photographs were some of the best they've ever seen. It's true what they say, don't skimp on photography. When the event is said and done, the photographs are what last. And these photographs are everything I could have hoped for, and more. Thank you Karlo!!! - Gina and Michael Larkin

  My new husband and I just got married this past Saturday, 6/13/15, and we hired Karlo as our photographer. And we are SO happy we did!! We are on our honeymoon now, but Karlo did such a phenomenal job, that I couldn't wait to review him!! He always had a huge smile on his face, an awesome sense of humor, and an unobtrusive way about him... As a photographer, this made him perfect. You spend all day with your photo guy, so it was key that he be easy to get along with, and Karlo fit the bill perfectly!! And of course there was his professionalism. Always on time, prepared, and he has such an artistic eye!! Spots we never would have looked twice at, Karlo transformed into beautiful, memorable moments. You can really tell he's constantly working on his photography and improving it, and coming up with new innovative shots! Oh, and he set up this awesome photo display during the reception!!! Guests loved it. Karlo is thoughtful, creative, and such a downright awesome guy. Don't hesitate, get him for your wedding! Thank you SO much, Karlo!!   My husband and I both agree that Karlo was our favorite vendor…by far!! From the very beginning, Karlo was very easy to talk to, flexible, and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had (both before and after the wedding). Besides that, Karlo is outgoing, creative, professional, and affordable. During solo shots, I was thinking to myself "there's no way I look good in ANY of these". WRONG! Karlo gave me a glimpse of some of the photos as he was taking them and I couldn't believe how great they looked.
  
  We also loved how Karlo prepared a “sneak peek” slideshow on his iPad to display during the reception. It’s something very unique that most wedding guests are not used to seeing. It was a big hit! Thank you Karlo for a great experience.

  We used Karlo to photograph our wedding and the only negative thing I can say is I wished we hired him for a longer period of time! From our initial contact with him until the he delivered our photographs we had a great experience with Karlo. He is professional, easy to work with, and has a great eye. He captured the emotion of the entire event and left us with some of the most beautiful photographs. If you are looking for a wedding photographer .... you can't go wrong with Karlo. He will give your wedding a photo finish!

  We decided that we wanted to pour our resources into having fantastic pictures of our wedding day and forego any video or other means of capturing the moment. This made it extremely important to us that we have a professional and creative photographer who could capture the moments of the wedding through film for us to relive. I had seen Karlo's work before and he had done the photography for my brother's wedding. I knew his talent and keen eye to capture unique shots so he was the first and only photographer I reached out to. We were planning the wedding from out of town and Karlo was great about communicating with us as we planned our day. He really listened to who we were as a couple and what we were looking for and we couldn't be happier with the album he created for us! He has a talent for creating unique pictures while capturing the entire feel of the event. We happily recommend him to anyone who wants wedding pictures that they will enjoy for a lifetime. Our only difficulty is trying to decide which ones to frame as there are so many good ones to choose from!

  Karlo is a very creative and professional (but fun) photographer. He put myself and my (now) wife at ease during our engagement shoot and made every effort to keep everyone comfortable and laughing at the wedding. His photographs are a perfect mix of candid, in the moment snapshots and stylized, artistic pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding.

  I love working with Karlo!!! He was the first vendor I nailed down as I knew how important a photographer was to a wedding. He worked with our budget and was very flexible with our request. His artistic vision captured many fantastic moments at our wedding. He was relaxed and helped keep the flow of the wedding on schedule.

  Photography is very important part of the big day and I had a very difficult time finding a good photographer with less than six months prior my wedding. I randomly came across Karlo on internet and I loved his work; it was very vibrant and natural. When we met with Karlo in person, he was so easy going, flexible and passionate about photography. We were so glad we found a photographer that we can trust and be comfortable with. Karlo was always very well prepared, he researched the photo shoot locations, worked out schedule and even brought lighting props to our engagement photo session! On the day of our wedding, he was so pleasant and directed everyone without being bossy. We just received our pictures and love them so much! He had captured all the details and emotions and they look amazing! He really did a fantastic job! We highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer.   Karlo was amazing! I can't gush enough about him! He was extremely fun to have at the wedding and everyone was in love with the pictures he took (as he set up a slide show during the reception to show guests the pictures he had taken up to that point). I really wish I could have the wedding again, only so Karlo can take more pictures!

  Karlo was an amazing addition to our wedding! He went above and beyond and met with us multiple times before the wedding so he felt like one of the gang by the time of the wedding. Our pictures truly capture moments and have helped us to relive the magic day and I have gotten tons of compliments. His style is fresh and modern but still has a classic feel. I can't imagine using another vendor!

  Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the most important decisions we had to make and we are so glad we chose Karlo Gesner! He was the BEST! He was professional, creative, he has a unique style that made our pictures look perfect and captured our personalities beautifully. Karlo was absolutely amazing on all levels.   Karlo did the photography for our wedding this past September and did a wonderful job! He has a very creative, easy to work with, positive energy that made the whole process so easy and comfortable. The pictures turned out amazing and he captured some priceless moments that we will treasure forever.

  For me the most important vendor for my wedding day was the photographer. I was really particular about how I wanted our pictures to look and Karlo was the person that could best execute what I was looking for. His photos are absolutely beautiful and he seems to really nail that "in the moment" feeling. He had great ideas for where to shoot and also listened to the few suggestions that I had which was great. My husband and I absolutely loved Karlo's personality and he was willing to work with us in getting photos we needed from our engagement shoot in a timely manner. The day of, he came extra early to capture the getting ready pictures that I really wanted to have with my girls. Karlo and his assistant Ole made everyone feel really comfortable all morning and they were a joy to be around. They did a great job with all of the formal and informal shots throughout the night. My only issue would be the turn around time for the photos. I completely understand that if you want quality work it takes time and I am 100% ok with that. If I was told up front it would've taken 2 months for me to receive our wedding photos that would have been fine, but I was told it would take 1 month and that date came and went so it was a bit disappointing to wait so long. What wasn’t disappointing is the amazing quality of work that he did. As I sat here and scrolled through our wedding day photos I had a huge smile on my face because he did exactly what I hoped he would do with capturing the moment and the feeling of my wedding day. He was attentive to all of the details that I had worked so hard on, and everyone looks genuinely happy in each and every photo. Karlo is an amazing photographer and is worth every penny, his work is great and his personality is even better. I am 100% happy with what we have to take away from such a special day for me and my husbands lives.
