  Private Residence Wedding Spring 2024

  We used Kate Phillips Events for our wedding in Goochland, VA on our family farm. Kate did a really incredible job. Seriously took my vision and brought it to life so perfectly. After months of planning it all came together so seamlessly. I would say I am also a typically busy person AND live outside of Viriginia, so I was planning from afar. Kate worked with my schedule for any planning meetings and made me feel confident that everything was coming along even without me physically there. The day after the wedding we were most thankful for Kate Phillips Events. Highly recommend!

  Best Decision My Family Made - Choosing Kate as our Wedding Planner

  Kate is the ABSOLUTE BEST. She and her team put together the most beautiful, memorable, wedding weekend of all time with over 300 guests and several different events Thursday - Sunday. Kate has both sides of the brain - she is solution oriented and practical, while creative and artistic. She is the most talented wedding planner I have ever seen. Throughout the whole process, she made me feel like I was the only wedding she had on her plate (when that was certainly not the case). I don't know how she juggles it all! I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding weekend. Choosing Kate as my wedding planner was the best decision my family made. It's no surprise she has won so many awards over the years - I would recommend her to anyone. When photographer pics come in, I would love to share them so all can see what an amazing job she did!

  Impeccable

  Kate at Kate Phillips Events was nothing less than exceptional as an event planner. She has an eye for aesthetics and design, worked closely with my daughter to create her wedding vision and demonstrated meticulous attention to detail. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is incredibly stressful and presents many unforeseen challenges. My daughter's wedding was rescheduled three times. Kate was nothing short of patient and frankly unflappable. The day of the event, she was at the venue from early in the morning until late in the evening. If you are looking for a wedding planner, Kate is the one!

  Hire kate!

  Working with Kate was an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. We used her full planning package and worked together talking at least once a week for our entire 15-month engagement. She helped us navigate COVID restrictions, vendor selection, and has an incredible eye for design that brought our vision to life even more beautifully than I imagined possible. She and her team went above and beyond and managed to think of every single detail. On the day of our wedding, she was on top of everything and supremely calm, insulating me from all the little things, which in turn allowed me to have a calm and totally joyful day.
  
  If you're looking for a planner that knows Charlottesville/RVA, will guide you to the best vendors in the market, and make every step of your planning process easier and more fun, choose Kate!

  As the mother of the bride planning a wedding during COVID, Kate was the glue that held everything together. She is the consummate professional wedding planner who provided numerous options for our ever-changing plans. Every vendor Kate recommended exceeded our expectations. Her execution on the overall vision for the day was flawless. Her design approach was both elegant and practical. Every detail was taken care of. And, through it all she remained calm, positive and reassuring! Highly recommend Kate if you are looking for a wedding planner!

  My now-husband, bridesmaids, in-laws, and parents have all shared my sentiment that Kate was the MVP of our wedding! Her patience, calm demeanor, and organization make everything flow so seamlessly. Her “month of” services include so many great planning tools, and I always felt less stressed after each conversation we had leading up to the wedding! She was able to anticipate every need both before and during the wedding. All of us were able to relax and enjoy every moment of the wedding. Kate is a phenomenal investment and I would recommend her to any bride!

  Month of wedding planning

  Kate was AMAZING to work with. We hired her for the month of at Upper Shirley. She gave me planning tools early on to use when I was planning early on myself and was receptive to making all of my plans work during the month of the wedding. She is beyond organized and has great relationships with tons of local vendors. The weekend went off seamlessly and literally everyone commented on how perfect the wedding went. She has a calm but fun demeanor and never once made me stressed. I am SO thankful I used Kate!

  Amazing Wedding Planner Start to Finish!

  We hired Kate Phillips Events for the whole wedding planning process and all my family, husband, and I are still saying three months after our wedding is that it was the absolute BEST decision we made!! Kate is top in her game and, from what I've come to learn, practically unmatched in the wedding industry -- without her, I really don't know how the wedding would have all come together. She is amazing at bringing visions to life and coming up with ideas and inspiration for the big day that I would have never thought of myself. She is extremely organized and detail-oriented, working closely with our vendors, keeping us to a clear timeline and budget, and tracking every single detail so that I could actually have a stress-free engagement and most importantly, a smooth and wonderful wedding day. From working closely with us on our budget, to literally cutting down trees from the woods to tie to our tent poles, to an emergency bustling of my dress on the big day, to going above and beyond coordinating with our vendors, she and her team helped make everything absolutely perfect, and we couldn't have asked for someone better to guide us through the process and run ship during the weekend. She took time to meet with me over coffee during the wedding planning process to brainstorm, nail down logistics, and just check in -- and all the while was patient with our millions of questions and emails. At the end of the day, I couldn't help but wonder how people are able to do this whole wedding planning thing without someone like Kate and not absolutely lose their mind!! :) We're so grateful for Kate who worked tirelessly to help make our wedding a dream. Because of Kate and her team, we were able to be in the moment on our special day and really soak up all the love present. I wholeheartedly recommend Kate and her full services to any bride and her family!!

  She made our wedding so easy

  We hired Kate Phillips Events to do "month of" planning as well as helping us with the design aesthetic of the wedding. I hadn't intended to get a wedding planner (I naively had no concept of just how much planning a wedding actually takes) but our venue required one. And honestly, I am SO glad they did because Kate was so wonderful and added so much to our wedding.
  
  When it came to her design plan, she listened to what I was interested in and ran with it to create a detailed and comprehensive design proposal. She was very flexible after I gave feedback regarding budget and preferences and always had great alternative suggestions if something wouldn't work for whatever reason. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and there were certain elements that I never would have thought to incorporate on my own.
  
  As for the month of the wedding and the wedding day - she took over coordinating with vendors and going through contracts and ensuring everything was getting delivered and set up properly at the venue. I honestly don't even know half of the stuff she did because she just did it on her own without me having to worry about it. She has so much experience with the planning and is so detail-oriented, that I was completely confident in whatever direction she went. On the day of the wedding, we had some surprise freezing weather and other last minute decisions that needed to be made, and at that point I just wanted to relax. I was so thankful to have her there and have 1000 percent trust in her judgment so I could just sit back with my friends and family and not stress. And it all worked out, and was so smooth, and truly the best days of our lives! Thanks Kate!

  We really can't say enough about Kate! She is incredibly good at her job and made the final month before our wedding a total breeze. We were so pleased with how beautiful our ceremony and reception space were and how smoothly the entire day went. Kate put us at ease, which allowed us to really enjoy our big day. I knew we were in good hands the moment we hired her, we can't recommend her enough!

  I cannot say enough good things about Kate! She made our whole wedding experience so relaxing and stress free! I had her for month of coordination and she contacted all of my vendors confirming drop off times, made an extremely detailed day of timeline (which was SO helpful giving my family and wedding party), was extremely responsive to all of questions and concerns, AND MORE. I felt SO relaxed the week of my wedding, which I know was all because of her! Also, her decoration skills//vision are AMAZING and she made our wedding look like a dream! Thank you so much Kate!!

I was always impressed with how well she was able to pick up on my style and vision, even though it seemed as though I hadn't described exactly what I wanted yet. It's pretty daunting trying to pick wedding vendors with so many to choose from, so it was incredibly helpful having her knowledge to help pick the best ones.
