  If you want elegant, beautifully composed wedding photos that look like they came out of Vanity Fair, go with Katie Jane.
  
  We're from San Francisco and decided to elope in New York City, so we needed to find a photographer who specialized in small weddings but who also could make that intimate moment, well intimate. Katie Jane exceeded our expectations.
  
  She's very personable, laid back but very talented (and humble). She was very ninja in that she got amazing candid shots but you almost forgot she was there (except for the posed photos, of course).
  
  Our photos are amazing! She understands f-stop, lighting, composition and other technical stuff most people don't know about. The best way to describe her work is her photos are elegant, timeless, clean and classic.
  
  Our wedding day was the happiest day of our lives and, thanks to Katie, we have lasting memories that truly showcase our happiness.

  Katie's pictures are absolutely beautiful. She totally captured the emotion and also the hilarity of our elopement. We will treasure these pictures forever -- and so will our family members who were not at our wedding. Katie was always quick to respond, especially as we neared the date. She had plenty of suggestions and was able to really help us navigate eloping in Central Park. She also went ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty -- helping me tighten my corset dress, recommending the BEST restaurant for dinner -- and really felt more like a friend at the end of the day than a wedding photographer. I would highly recommend her if you're thinking about a wedding in NYC, and if you care more about pictures of PEOPLE and EMOTIONS than anything else!

  Our wedding photos are stunning. Katie Jane's photography captivated me from the first moment I saw it - her shots a clear, direct, and totally real while still making even the non-photogenic look great (my husband never looks good in photos, but Katie Jane actually made him look good!)
  
  We booked Katie Jane before our venue, before we even set a date, and luckily were one of her last big weddings. If you have the chance to use Katie Jane for even headshots, engagement shoot, family photos, etc. do it. You will not regret it.
  
  Katie Jane and Jon, her second shooter, were great to work with. They were assertive enough that we got the shots we wanted, and they were able to come quickly if we wanted a candid shot. I was always impressed with the turnaround time, both on prints and on simple emails. Katie Jane is super organized, so having her timeline and other documents provided a basis for the whole day. She was a great reference for other ideas/thoughts/vendors and had patience for my endless questions.
  
  I am still amazed every time I look at the photos.

  Having Katie photograph our wedding was wonderful. We never felt like there was a camera in our face, but we ended up with beautiful photos. She's very laid back but also very professional. She's also a friendly and pleasant person to have at your wedding. If I could rank the value higher than 5 stars, I would. I really can't speak highly enough of her.

Katie was well-organized, and directed people when necessary (e.g. for the formal shots), but her style is very relaxed and low-key, which we liked. For our wedding photos, we asked for some formal shots, but we really wanted to have a lot of candid shots of our guests having a good time. Katie listened to what we wanted and we are very happy with the photos that we ended up with.
