Highly recommend The Cidery at KC Wine Co! Our wedding was 9/5/20. The Staff and owners were always very helpful and answered all my questions and helped guide me in the right direction for list of vendors. We had 200 Guest that all felt safe and had a great experience they told me after. We had several guest & Family come from out of states including PA, OK. They Venue was beautiful and spaced out. We wore mask during our dinner line and at the bar. We also chose to dance outside under the lights and my pictures turned out amazing! The day of wedding coordinator that was provided made my day SO much easier and she was awesome! Best day ever! -

My daughter's wedding was held at the Cidery. It was a beautiful venue, everything went perfectly. There was a very nice space for the ceremony outdoors, but plenty of room to move inside in case of bad weather (which we did not have to do). The facility was beautiful. Also, my daughter really liked the bride & groom rooms for getting ready. Also, great set up for the bar, dance floor, tables just the way we wanted them, and a beautifully lighted terrace for those who wanted to be outdoors. Couldn't have asked for better. -

Our daughter, son in law, and her entire wedding party loved this venue. The staff went above and beyond to make their day special!! The farm & barn are gorgeous, and provided some amazing photo opportunities. Having a separate wedding area and reception area was a bonus, two venues in one! Definitely would recommend KC WineCo to all of our friends. -

Here is the final email we sent to KC Wine Co when we were driven to the point where we felt like we had no choice but to cancel our contract. All we asked for was the option to move our date to 2021 if Kansas shut down again, and they refused to put in in writing, stating that they would deal with it if and when it happened, and that they could safely have 300 people in their space. They said we'd have to forfeit all money up to that point, even though their shoddy contract led us and a lawyer to believe otherwise. If you're curious if we have received any response to this email, the answer is no. These people are cold and heartless, and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for any special events.
Ultimately, all we have asked for weeks now is any level of security or good faith you could give us as a vendor. The whole world is dealing with an uncertain and scary future with no known end in sight. Discussions of Kansas potentially going back to a phase 2 lockdown and increased numbers in Johnson County are the exact reasons we kept pressing the matter. Businesses and individuals pretending this will just go away has proven to be foolish at best, deadly at worst.
Like so many others in the world, my family has been personally impacted by this pandemic. You claim to be sympathetic but the reality is, not once during this process have your actions shown that. We asked for something so simple as reassurance that you would work with us, should the worst case scenario happen. Instead of giving us that, you quote your contract. You have treated us like a dollar sign and not people. You have driven my fiance to tears. You have taken what is ultimately meant to be a beautiful day and added an extra layer of stress that no couple should be forced to go through. You're in the hospitality business. People entrust milestone days in their lives to you. To be so cold and uncaring of people's situations, feelings, and concerns is beyond disappointing.
