I hired Abby to be the day-of coordinator for my wedding, and that was one of the best decisions that I made. Abby went above and beyond what was expected, and she made everything exactly as I wanted it. I had hired musicians for each aspect of my day (ceremony, cocktail hour, band, and DJ for the entire day) and she made sure everyone was exactly where they needed to be at all times. I cannot say enough about Abby, and I very highly recommend her to anyone :)

Abby was awesome to work with! I had all these ideas and no clue where to begin or what to do. She helped me bring my dream wedding to life! She even went above and beyond by being hands on and creating a custom card box and programs! She's easy going and very professional! I'm very happy with how everything turned out! Thanx so much Keep Calm Event Planning!

    Disappointed during day of

I am sad to be writing this review, I was very disappointed with how things went the day of my wedding, which I thought it went smoothly, but I came to find out that my doc did not have much to do with that. Prior to the wedding day we met with Abby, she was professional, organized, and knowledgeable. She told us we were talk around a month or so of the wedding to figure out details time line, etc. We did that, but that was about the last time she really reached out to get details from me, she let me know she would be reaching out to all vendors about two weeks before, but then I had vendors texting me the week of the wedding asking me questions saying they have not fears from Abby yet. I also had to reach out to her to give her a list of things to do for the day of, she was supposed to do all of the decor set up and clean up. When it came to the day of the wedding she was a half an hour late, was supposed to be there at 11 am for a 4pm ceremony time (seating). Thank god my mom's friends were helping because they did most of the decorating and set up of stuff, she did not follow the list I had written for her, she was going around just tweaking things that have already been done, when there were other things to be done, which some of my bridesmaids had to do, everyone told me they had to go give her direction. I also found out during my ceremony she was refusing to let some guests enter because they were a little late, she made them sit in the back even though they had seats saved, they said she was very rude, even after I told her to let people in. Also during cocktail time appetizers could have been replenished, but my ms friends took it upon their selves to help out again, even though they were guests at the the time. I was expecting to have hired someone who wouldakeh day easier and step up to get the little things done properly, make sure all of my tables were set up properly, the decor was all in the right spots, and I had to constantly ask through out the day why things had not been done yet, etc. At the end of the night she did help with clean up, but I felt like she did not do much to make things easier for through the whole day, very disappointed and my mother, bridesmaids, and my mom's friends all let me know a few days later what really happened that day. I am not sure if she was just having an off day or what, but it really would have not made a difference if she was there for not that day from what I heard.

Katie, I was definitely not expecting this and I'm sorry to hear most of this review is not based on your personal experience but rather from what you heard. As you mentioned, you thought your wedding day went smoothly and I very much had a part in that. Please know, I do my best to connect with vendors 1 - 2 weeks prior to introduce myself. However, it can sometimes take several tries. And, while I do provide an estimated arrival time, there are instances such as this where I'm receiving vendor calls and providing instructions well before I get to the venue. Most brides never know this however, because I prefer not to worry them unless absolutely necessary. I would like to clarify that your mom's friends were there during set-up as extra help as previously agreed. While, I was to delegate tasks once I got there, most of the decor had already been set out. Although, not necessarily the way you had intended and therefore, one of the first things I made sure to take care of. It's important to note that set-up doesn't always go in a particular order and when you add family and friends who are also guests and need to leave to get dressed, it can be very stressful for them which is why I often do not recommend it. I was fully aware of what needed to be done. I recall at one point you even walked up to me and apologized for some of their behavior. To which I replied, no worries. Everything was done and completed beautifully in a timely manner even after they were gone. I'm honestly unsure as to which bridesmaids you are referring to but I can say one of your bridesmaids, who was checking in with me from time to time, actually complimented my attention to detail and said you would appreciate it. In the matter of your guests not being seated, the only time I asked guests to wait was during the processional to ensure it was not interrupted, which you and I had previously discussed, and I certainly did not tell them where they had to sit. During the cocktail hour, I was under the impression the bartender was setting out the appetizers. However, I would have been happy to help out wherever needed, which I certainly did throughout the entire day and received several compliments from vendors, guests, as well as Artem's parents. I really wish you would have reached out to me directly with any concerns. Nonetheless, it was a pleasure meeting you and Artem and I wish you all the very best!
