The most talented Chicago photographer!
My husband and I could not be more thankful to have had Kent as our engagement and wedding photographer. There may not be enough words to truly express our gratitude. We were referred to Kent through our wedding planner and knew from our first call that he was the right fit for us. Kent's craft is truly exquisite. He perfectly captured the ambiance, joy, enthusiasm, and love throughout our day. Our reception took place in the Field Museum, and he masterfully captured the grandeur and uniqueness of the museum space. Kent so easily puts everyone at ease and makes the process engaging, fun, and effortless. My husband and I had a ball getting to take photographs with Kent on...My husband and I could not be more thankful to have had Kent as our engagement and wedding photographer. Can’t go wrong with Kent!
We are so happy we hired Kent! We knew our photos would be the memories to look back on and even just a few months after getting married, we’re so happy we have Kent’s beautiful work to reflect back on the day. Kent’s work speaks for itself and is absolutely beautiful but it’s also so important to know how great it is to work with him; there’s SO much going on that day, a lot of people and a lot of personalities and no matter what, Kent will make everyone feel at ease and look their best. He was fluffing my dress and fixing my hair to make sure it was just right in the photos. So many people...We are so happy we hired Kent! We knew our photos would be the memories to look back on and even just a few months after getting married, we’re so happy we have Kent’s beautiful work to reflect back on the day. Kent’s work speaks for itself and is absolutely beautiful but it’s also so important to know how great it is to work with him; there’s SO much going on that day, a lot of people and a lot of personalities and no matter what, Kent will make everyone feel at ease and look their best. Kent was fantastic!
Kent was honestly one of the best parts of our wedding. Not only were the photos simply gorgeous, but he was wonderful to work with. He was incredibly attentive to family and the bridal party, becoming a trusted go-to for support in solving problems both photo non-photo related. His experience shows and he creates a completely comfortable atmosphere on a very emotional day. I had guests mentioning Kent for months after the wedding!Kent was honestly one of the best parts of our wedding. Not only were the photos simply gorgeous, but he was wonderful to work with. He was incredibly attentive to family and the bridal party, becoming a trusted go-to for support in solving problems both photo non-photo related. Absolutely perfect!
Hiring Kent for our wedding was the absolute best decision we could have made! I fell in love with his work after seeing his weddings online and then the moment we met I fell in love with him! He instantly made us feel so comfortable at our engagement shoot and the entire wedding weekend. He executed every photo request we asked for and we are over the moon at how all the photos turned out. Kent takes unbelievably gorgeous portraits and decor shots but he also has the ability to capture every special, hilarious, memorable moment of the weekend perfectly! We knew we could trust him to not miss any detail and he delivered times ten.

I really cant describe how much we love Kent! Kent became like another best friend at the wedding and is now a friend for life! His amazing photos speak for themselves but Kent as a person was the reason we hired him. He is incredibly attentive and goes above and beyond what any normal photographer would do. From making sure our drinks were never empty to always putting my hair or spanx perfectly in place - I knew if Kent were around we would all be OK! He is so kind, caring, fun and was a calming force during some of the most stressful wedding moments. He not only took such good care of us but also our friends and family. They loved him as much as we did and everyone continues to rave about him as a person and his work.
I could not recommend Kent more! My family can't wait for another reason to hire Kent because we all miss him so much! We will be eternally indebted to him for capturing every moment from the best weekend of our lives and for being such a pleasure and blast to be with.

Kent has been an absolute delight to work with! We had a bow tie emergency on the wedding day when only half of a bow tie showed up. Not only did Kent have a spare one and know how to tie it, but he kept everyone calm and on schedule despite the chaos. Kent has a keen eye for details and all the little special moments throughout the day, and his photos weaved beautifully together and really captured the intangible specialness of our day, from the ceremony to our interactions with all our family and friends. Working with Kent is definitely one of the best decisions (among many) we made to memorialize this special day for the rest of our lives.Kent has been an absolute delight to work with! When my now husband and I were meeting with potential photographers, we wanted to find someone with whom both of us just “clicked.” We knew Kent would take beautiful photos, but after chatting with him and laughing over drinks, we knew he “got” us and would be the perfect person to capture our wedding. Before the wedding, we met with Kent in person twice to ensure that we were aligned on our vision. Kent was also promptly responsive to all of our...We could not recommend Kent Drake Photography highly enough. Kent was also promptly responsive to all of our questions and notes on everything from the contract, albums, potential photo locations, etc. I know that we likely (definitely) weren’t the easiest clients, and Kent remained patient, accommodating and enthusiastic. On the day of the wedding, I probably spent more time with Kent than I did with my future husband, and he made me feel comfortable, special, and like I was hanging out with a good friend. I didn’t need to worry once that he was capturing all of the portraits, little details, and candid moments that were so important to us. At one point during the reception, we were about to take moonlit photos outside, and Kent first checked in with our DJ to ensure we didn’t miss any of our “must play” songs. It’s this thoughtfulness and attention to detail that just sets him apart. After the wedding, Kent provided us with a USB drive and link to an online gallery that we could share with family and friends. We had fun designing our album, and Kent put together a stunning layout that perfectly tells our wedding story. Kent’s commitment to exceptional client service, his clear artistic talent, his respect for the personal significance of our wedding, and his appreciation of our unique style and personalities made it an absolute joy to work with him. We will treasure the photos and memories forever. -

He met with me three times before the wedding (and often on short notice as I do not live in Chicago where I got married!) and was always available via e-mail. His plan for the first look was perfect and he suggested some great places for pictures of the wedding party before our ceremony. Kent was very easy-going, fun to work with and made everyone feel comfortable the entire day. He even stayed late when my caterer took much longer than anticipated for the dinner service to get some fantastic dancing shots. I absolutely loved his photos, particularly the candid ones, and the wedding albums (ours + 2 parent...Kent was fantastic and my favorite vendor to work with! He met with me three times before the wedding (and often on short notice as I do not live in Chicago where I got married!) and was always available via e-mail. His plan for the first look was perfect and he suggested some great places for pictures of the wedding party before our ceremony. Kent was very easy-going, fun to work with and made everyone feel comfortable the entire day. Kent did a brilliant job with our photographs. He is truly an artist as well as a photographer. I highly recommend him to any bride and groom.
