Nora did an incredible job from start to finish. She was so patient with me during our trial and day of the wedding- especially because I was an indecisive bride! She was professional, prompt, friendly, and so good at what she does. Her and her team not only did an amazing job on our wedding day, they made it fun and memorable. The morning of your wedding can be nerve wracking, stressful, etc. but she calmed my nerves and her presence calmed my nerves. We had 9 brides maids, and mother of the bride, three flower girls, and a bride and she was ahead of schedule. I fully trusted her. I knew she wouldn’t let me leave without me loving how I looked, and she never once made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. Book Nora for an incredible MUAH artist, and you’ll also get an incredibly kind human that will make you day extra special. -

Two hours after my original hair/makeup artist's planned arrival time with no word from them, we sought out plan B. Nora picked up the phone after we called maybe ten local artists and agreed to head straight to our venue after completing another wedding. She arrived and got to work straight away - easily understanding the look I was hoping for and even though we got a late start, our day remained on schedule! She is a true professional, knew we wanted natural looks but also made sure we would look great on camera.
I can't thank or recommend Nora enough. Not just because she did beautiful, natural, elegant work, but because she showed up for me in an even more beautiful way in my time of need. So grateful for her calming presence and beautiful artistry! -

Nora did the hair and makeup for myself and 5 other women’s for my wedding. From my trial appointment to the day of the wedding, Nora was always professional. My hair and makeup stayed put all day. I was also on a very tight budget for my wedding and Nora’s prices are great, especially for the awesome jobs she does. -

Nora was great to work with. Incredibly kind and detailed oriented. Wanted a soft glam look with a wavy updo, and she was able to achieve my dream. I was greatly appreciative for the bridal hair and make up test run we did 2 months before the wedding, because she was able to see how my hair couldn't hold a curb. We were able to develop a plan to achieve my wavy updo (braiding hair night before) and I think it could have been a disaster had we not done that practice. She was always open to feedback and helped me feel empowered during the makeup/hair process.
She was easy to get a hold of by phone, but sometimes took a few days to respond by email. Wasn't a big deal for me, but don't be alarmed and may need to call or text for a quicker response. -

Annie Sent on 03/12/2024A Warning Review: Makeup and Hair Nightmare
I'm absolutely livid and completely stunned by the horrendous service provided by Nora. Please, don't be swayed by the few positive reviews like I was. My experience with her was an absolute nightmare from beginning to end.
During the makeup trial, it was painfully obvious that Nora was out of her depth with airbrush makeup, which she charged me extra for. My face ended up looking incredibly patchy and overly layered – the complete opposite of the flawless, natural look you'd expect from an experienced makeup artist using airbrush techniques. To make matters worse, her tools kept breaking, adding to the chaos of the session.
To add insult to injury, Nora blatantly lied about bringing individual lashes, which I specifically requested. Instead, she showed up with these outrageously large strip lashes that looked more fitting for a costume party than my wedding day.
One of the worst ports was how hygiene was a MAJOR issue throughout the entire makeup session, as Nora shamelessly used dirty brushes straight from the bottle without sanitizing anything properly including the mascara brush. I was utterly shocked by the lack of professionalism and hygiene standards and felt completely gross after.
And if that wasn't bad enough, Nora's attempt at hairstyling left me looking like a true rats nest. The finish was bumpy and far from smooth, despite her assurances that it couldn't be improved upon. Her dismissive attitude towards any feedback or requests for changes on hair and makeup only added to the frustration – I had no say in my own wedding look!
But what truly pushed me over the edge was Nora's deceptive pricing tactics. Despite agreeing to a price that included a deposit solely to hold the date and travel expenses, she refused to refund these fees when I decided not to proceed with her services – and this was within 72 hours of my trial, not even close to my wedding date, which was still seven months away. Claiming that the deposit was non-refundable was a detail conveniently omitted during our in person pricing discussion.
I cannot stress enough how much I urge everyone to avoid Nora's services. Her incompetence, lack of professionalism, and deceitful practices make her an absolute nightmare to deal with. Save yourself the headache and find someone else who truly values their clients and their craft or do it yourself even with no experience you will look much better, trust me!Key to Beauty by Nora's reply:
Thank you for your review Annie. If your experience was so bad, why did you come back after canceling asking me to still hold your date because you still wanted to use me for your wedding day? I stayed well over 3 hours trying to make you happy. If I was dismissive, I would’ve left after 2 hours. Hygiene is very important to me and my brushes were clean so that’s a lie. I clean my kit after every client. You never asked for individual lashes and for trials I use a standard one which then day of we bring the correct ones. So that’s a lie. I have airbrushed many times and was not inexperienced with the machine so that’s a lie. Yes airbrush is an extra charge. Your hair was difficult to work with and you asked for styles which cannot be replicated. Unfortunately, I am not a magician and cannot do the impossible and asked you to do certain things that would help on the day of wedding. If you were so unhappy, why pay a deposit to hold your date? A holding date deposit is non-refundable and once you cancelled, I released your date and booked someone else. You came back after canceling asking for your deposit or to continue holding the date which once cancelled, I cannot do. Due to being upset, you write this completely untrue review with the intent of hurting me. I want to thank you for the experience at the trial and wish you the best of luck finding the right person to do your hair and makeup.
