Best wedding decision
It's impossible to express just how thankful my husband and I are for Kimberly. We could not have planned our dream beach wedding from out of state without her!! She was incredibly responsive and communicative, super organized and on top of everything, and a wealth of knowledge and experience. She will be the BEST and MOST WORTH IT decision of your entire wedding - can't recommend enough!!It's impossible to express just how thankful my husband and I are for Kimberly. We could not have planned our dream beach wedding from out of state without her!! KH Events is the way to go
Kimberly, Brittney, and team are extremely professional and know how to make an incredible event happen. The planning before the event was very thorough and when the unexpected happened (as it always does) day of, Brittney was on top of everything. A true expert at wedding planning!
We hired Kimberly way back in 2019 as our wedding planner when we decided to get married in Florida. Our entire family lives up North, so we had no clue where to start when it came to venues and vendors. Originally we worked with Ashley before COVID, but after postponing a whole year, Kimberly took us under her wing. Kimberly is straight forward, fun, and truly cares about her bride and grooms vision coming to life. If it's possible to execute, she'll make it happen - explaining what to expect without the fluff, which I really appreciated. There can be so much drama and stress surrounding a wedding and she really helps you keep things in perspective and encourages you to make the wedding what you & your partner want it to be! Planning a huge event like this takes a lot of hard work and I knew I didn't have to worry about anything slipping through the cracks with her in charge. I still felt extremely involved with all of the decisions like I had wanted, but didn't have to think about what was coming next and could really just be in the moment with each part of the process - this made planning SO fun! If you're searching for a planner look no further - she won't disappoint and helped us create a stunning, magical, fairytale wedding people are still talking about today! The most amazing planners EVER
First of all, if you are looking for a reliable, amazing, real, and trustworthy planner for your big day, STOP LOOKING RIGHT NOW AND HIRE KIMBERLY HENSLEY EVENTS. Let me start by saying I was completely burned by a less than reputable "wedding planner" prior to hiring Kimberly and her team. Money was stolen from me, I was lied to and ended up having to go to court over it all to get my money back (all during planning my wedding... super stressful.) So needless to say, I was extremely skeptical about other wedding planners and who to hire after all that mess. I got a good vibe from Kimberly instantly and she showed genuine compassion for what I was going through and was very much so honest and to the point with our first conversation. She stayed that way throughout the process. Ashley, who was my actual wedding day planner was just AMAZING in so many ways. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better wedding day planner. She was so real and COOL to be around and deal with. Kimberly and Ashley both were SUPER patient with me when I had my moments of panic or overreaction during the planning process and were SUPER helpful with advice regarding decisions I was having trouble making myself. I just absolutely loved these two and was sooo grateful to have found them. There is a reason they have been voted best planners over and over again. On wedding day, Ashley was like having a bestie by my side having my back through everything. Through all the minor issues and annoyances, she was so fiercely supportive and amazing. There were a few issues that took place throughout the night that were handled by her without me ever even knowing until afterward, which in my opinion was very professional and absolutely how it should be. All in all, this team is exactly what I needed for the best day of my life. I will recommend them a thousand times over until I'm blue in the face. Beyond amazing!
Kimberly blew me away. I struggled a lot with trusting people during planning my wedding and I had a very specific vision. She went above and beyond what I was hoping for as my planner. She completely helped me execute my vision and connected me with the most amazing vendors. At one point during my reception, I asked if she had a hair tie and she without thinking ripped the one out of her hair she was wearing, thats just who she is. She goes above and beyond for her brides and to make their vision come to life!Kimberly blew me away. The best!
If want your wedding day to truly be the best day of your life, you need to hire Kimberley Hensley Events!!! Brittney was an absolute dream to work with, and I know my wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without her. I started working with Brittney about 2 months out, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was being taken care of. She was so on top of everything, that my wedding planning stress immediately melted away once I started working with her. She was so detail-oriented, professional, organized, and on top of that such a joy to work with. She was extremely responsive and would answer all of my questions quickly (and there were always a lot), and always made me feel at ease. She even sent me the CUTEST wedding guest book alternative when I told her I was still looking for one, and it was an absolute hit with our guests. When we got to do a first look of our reception space, I was BLOWN away--everything was exactly how I wanted it and truly beyond my wildest dreams. She made the transitions on the wedding day effortless, and she made sure we were always comfortable and having fun. The value you get out of hiring her is ten fold. Brittney is simply AMAZING!!! From the moment we talked to Kim on the phone, we knew she was going to be incredible and that we would be in good hands. As two busy working people planning an out of state wedding from Boston to Florida, we were thrilled to have the peace of mind that everything would be covered and no details would slip through the cracks! Couldn’t Have Planned My Wedding Without Then!
I wasn’t sure whether I needed a wedding planner for my wedding, but after talking to Kimberly Hensley for the first time over the phone I felt like it was necessary. Kimberly gave me advice on changing my wedding date during our initial phone call (before I even hired her), which ultimately saved my wedding. Kimberly was already committed to another wedding the weekend of my wedding, so she suggested her lead planner Brittney. Brittney is incredibly sweet, friendly and easy to talk to. She’s also super organized and knowledgeable. She was patient with my indecisiveness and I valued her opinion on pretty much every wedding detail. Kimberly was also very involved in my planning, which I thought was extremely thorough. They both attended my meetings with the venue and florist, which was very helpful. It was invaluable to know every step of the way that Brittney and Kimberly had everything under control and that I did not need to worry about anything. They were extremely communicative and easy to reach when I had questions. The wedding went off without a hitch, I got so many compliments from friends and family about how perfect everything was. Brittney was calm, cool and collected the day of my wedding, which in turn made me more at ease. Brittney and Kimberly are the perfect combination of professional and fun. Day-Of Wedding Planner
We hired Brittney Crespo as our day-of wedding planner through Kimberly Hensley Events. Although she is considered a “day-of” planner, she checks in with you several months prior to the wedding to ensure you are on the right track with planning.
Brittney was always very organized with writing down our plans/ideas and understanding our vision. She brought up logistics/concepts/questions I would not have thought about myself. We shared google docs to keep our ideas organized/easy to reference.
She was very helpful with examining all of our vendor’s contracts and making sure everything lined up with our plans. She made sure all of our vendors requests/needs were met for their set-up.
Brittney made sure our day ran smoothly from start to finish. She worked closely with the banquet captain of our venue prior to and during the wedding day. I was never stressed or worried on my big day. Perfect Planner!
They say that the universe brings you exactly what you need, just when you need it and that's what it felt like when I first connected with Kimberly. After finding her information through a venue my fiancé and I were considering, I made the initial phone call just looking for some basic information and knew immediately that she had to be our wedding planner!
As a busy professional and a bride who had absolutely no idea what I wanted or what putting together a wedding would entail, Kimberly was an amazing partner for me and my fiancé. Her planning process is simple to complete, yet provided us the opportunity to develop a unique event that completely reflected our relationship and celebrated the life we are creating together. Her process helped my fiancé and I to articulate exactly what we wanted our wedding weekend to feel like for our family and friends and the end result was perfection!
Thanks to Kimberly's suggestion we found an amazing venue that we would never have considered. She listened to everything that was important to us and matched us perfectly with every vendor along the way. She was accommodating to my busy schedule and found ways to keep us on track to our timeline and our budget without seeming overbearing.
Kimberly did such a great job of getting to know us and helping us identify what we wanted for the event that every decision we made through the process seemed so easy - from catering to flowers - her eye for detail was spot on and brought things to life I never could have imagined.
Leading up to the wedding she gave me great advice on how to handle everything and made sure that I had nothing to worry about during the event except enjoying every moment. On the day of the rehearsal Kim made sure all of our wedding party and families were clear on how the ceremony should flow and we were able to have a wonderful time at our rehearsal dinner with no stress!
When the wedding day came she coordinated a complete transformation of the venue, managing all of the vendors, rentals, caterers, lighting, etc. We turned a beautiful beach house into a glittering magical dream wedding complete with Tiffany Blue and silver accents, a bacon bar, live musician, and a party that our family and friends will be talking about for years. Just Amazing
Honestly, there are not enough words to describe how amazing Kimberly is. From our very first phone conversation to our fun texts after the wedding, Kimberly has been an absolute dream. About 5 minutes into our first phone conversation, I knew she was the planner for me, she was/is organized, easy to talk to you, and just perfect. Before Kimberly the thought of planning a wedding in Florida from NYC seemed like the most daunting and stressful thing ever, but she made the entire wedding planning process, dare I say it…fun! Kimberly makes you a personalized wedding timeline that lays everything that needs to be done in a not overwhelming way and makes every wedding task tangible. From her spreadsheets, documents, and pinterest boards, everything is seamless and nothing slips through the cracks. Every 1st of the month, she checks in and makes sure everyone is on the same page and to make sure the Bride isn’t going crazy yet ;-) Kimberly always answered emails, texts, and phone calls, regardless of how crazy my questions were. Our wedding day was the absolute best day of our life and we 100% owe it all to Kimberly. When I first contacted Kimberly Hensley events I was told that she was unavailable and I'd need to with Brittney. I was disappointed at first but little did I know that she would be a Godsend! Brittney was the single most instrumental factor of the success of our wedding. She was meticulous, organized and knowledgeable. She was able to answer every question we had, recommend ideas and execute our plans. The decision making process was made easier with her prior experience of the areas vendors. Brittney brought our vision to life! I was disappointed at first but little did I know that she would be a Godsend! Brittney was the single most instrumental factor of the success of our wedding. I'm not sure where to even begin this review because nothing I can write will even come close to explaining how much Kimberly did for our wedding, how much we loved everything she did, and how thankful we are for her. If you're reading this, you're probably looking for a wedding planner, as was I in Feb. 2017. After speaking to a handful, I spoke to Kimberly and my decision was easily made. She was kind, friendly, confident, and understanding of the fact that at the time my fiance and I were in the middle of 6 months living 1,000 miles apart and that I was in the middle of a graduate program. Kimberly and I spent 14 months planning my wedding. Each month we received a checklist of what would be done that month and if my travel or school schedule required us to move things up or push things back, we did! Kimberly provided us with several vendors in each category and was open to our suggestions from vendors we've heard good things about as well. She worked her magic and absolutely stayed within our budget which was very important to us. She understood and constantly kept in mind what was important to me and what was less important. She gave us the independence to make our own decisions but was 1000% available for every question and to talk us through some of the harder choices to make. Her experience in the area and in the industry is unmatched. The vendors she provided us with and the decor she crafted for the day of was 100% on point. I honestly don’t know how to begin to thank Kimberly for planning our wedding! Living in Maryland and having our wedding in Florida seemed like an impossible feat before talking to Kimberly. For an entire year, she was in contact with us by phone, email, text and even Skype! She is so personable, enthusiastic and truly an expert in her field. Throughout the entire process, Kimberly kept our minds at ease - from finding our perfect venue, to assisting my husband with selecting his suit, to fully understanding my dream to have a “cocktail style” reception, (which even my husband was wary about, at first!) to ensuring every last detail on our wedding day and even putting away all of our DIY decorations in our suite at the end of the night. We also appreciated her genuine honesty. She truly listened and worked with all of our ideas - no matter how far fetched they may have seemed. Even though we had our own ideas about how we wanted our wedding to look, we truly valued her opinions, such as what lighting would look the best in a tent or if the color pallet for my bridesmaids’ dresses would complement the groomsmens’ suits. Kimberly’s opinion was the first person whose opinion I sought on that matter and her assurance that wood bow ties would look stunning, was ‘ dead-on’. The word that comes to mind when I think of Kim? Lifesaver. I could NOT have done this without her. My then-fiance (now hubby) and I are both from Florida, but live in Washington, DC. We knew we wanted our wedding down south, but weren't sure how to make all of our wedding dreams come true while also juggling a 900 mile difference between us and the venue and our high-stress, long-hour jobs in politics and communications. In comes Kim! I knew from the moment I first spoke to her that she was one. She came off as competent, organized, down to earth, honest, and someone who gets sh*t done. Just how I like it! Throughout the entire 18 month planning period, Kim kept us on-time and on-budget, and was so helpful and flexible when we would have last minute work and family emergencies that kept us from our portion of the planning process. If you have any hesitation about hiring Kim as your planner - stop wondering and just do it. It'll be the best decision you make throughout the whole process and is worth every penny. I was of the impression that wedding planners are for people who just have too much money and didn't want to deal with wedding planning at all--it's basically just an unrealistic expense to spend in an already greedy industry. That is until I got engaged--and I began trying to plan a wedding in St. Pete while living in DC. Cue my first panic attack and I furiously began googling wedding planners--basically wanting to test the waters. Kimberly Hensley kept popping up in my search so I figured ok I'll give her a call, see what this is all about. I was converted the moment I began talking to her. Then my mom called because she was also skeptical--and an hour later my mom calls back and says she's hired. Having her on board was the absolute 100% best decision we ever made during the planning process. You can be as involved or not involved you want in planning. We were very involved but she still pulled a TON of leg work.
One of the best perks about Kim is she provides us a list of all preferred vendors (within our budget!!). Speaking of budgets, the other perk--and honestly the #1 reason to hire her besides the day of coordination--she works out a budget for you and seriously helps you stick with it. She lets you know what is realistic when it comes to spending your money on certain things. We stayed in budget... which is unheard of! We also got little perks from vendors because they came recommended from her. You can text/email/call any time--she is very responsive!
As for the day of, everything went seamless (at least on my end). I've been in a LOT of weddings, and you can really tell the difference between weddings that are just done by the couple and ones with day-of coordinators/planners. If you're googling a planner, you clearly know the benefits of one... just do yourself a favor and just call Kim already! From the moment we hired her, the planning was stress-free and actually enjoyable. Choosing vendors was a breeze. She would give us a handful of options for each vendor that were available for our wedding day and within our budget. We knew that we could not make a bad decision because she had already vetted them all.
We planned our wedding with Kimberly from a far (we live in Washington DC) in about 6 months. We never would have been able to pull off the perfect wedding she delivered on our own and with our sanity intact. She was able to take our very conceptual vision and turn it into a dream come true. She was honest about what our budget would get us and kept us in line with our timeline and budget throughout the process. She was always reachable to answer questions and provide her expertise whenever needed.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! The day flowed seamlessly. We could not have dreamed of a better wedding day. Our guests were so impressed with every element of our wedding (venue, food, flowers, décor, etc.). At the end of the night before our grand exit, I said to her, “if anything went wrong, I didn’t know about it.” To which she responded, “Nothing went wrong!” Everyone warned me that something would go wrong. Well with Kimberly, everything went exactly as planned. This is why you hire a wedding planner. But do not hire just any wedding planner, hire Kimberly Hensley.

Even as a destination bride, I never imagined having a wedding planner. Sunset Beach Resort, Siesta Key, FL, provided Kimberly's contact information, and one other planner, for more information on weddings held at the venue. After an introductory discussion with Kimberly, and Instagram/ internet researching, I KNEW hiring Kimberly was the absolute best option.
My goal for our wedding planning was to be stress-free and to ENJOY the process. Kimberly's planning process made me look forward to each month's "To Do" email. She answered emails/ telephone calls promptly and answered millions of my (sometimes stupid) questions with honesty. She provided vendors that were right on budget, slightly below, and slightly higher and would explain the advantages of each, making decision making seem easy. Furthermore, I knew if Kimberly was recommending vendors they were going to be amazing (and up to her caliber).
In addition, while developing our decor concept, I relied on Kimberly to take the lead. Although I had a general idea of how I wanted our venue to look and feel, I did not have any concept of the details. I trusted Kimberly. I knew her style, loved her taste, and knew she would create the most beautiful setting (which I'm sure took her a lot of time and energy to create with minimal ideas from the bride)! The outcome was more beautiful that I could have ever imagined.
Above all was Kimberly's KILLER support and coordinating skills during the week and day of our wedding. With Hurricane Hermine hitting the gulf coast 2 days prior to our wedding day and a power outage on the day of, Kimberly coordinated effectively and improvised as necessary. Although I'm sure both situations were stressful on her end, I fed off her positive energy and remained calm.
I feel as if any review does not suffice for my sincere appreciation for Kimberly Hensley. When I started planning my wedding, I did not expect to get a planner. About 2 months in it was my mom who suggested we look into getting one. Kimberly had been recommended to her by a couple friends so she asked me to at least talk to her. After 2 minutes of that phone call I told my mom we HAD to have her. Kimberly was without a doubt the best investment we made in the entire wedding process. She helped me step by step with what to do, when to do it, provided suggestions and opinions when asked, and advice on working with other vendors. She has AMAZING taste and is up to date on ways to do different things. That came in handy when I had an idea and didn't know exactly how to execute it. It was also very nice to have someone reassuring you that you are on track with everything, because if you have never planned a wedding before you have no idea what should be happening when.
Something I really appreciated was how organized and professional Kimberly was in understanding how to deal with vendors. Finding all of your vendors is made 10X easier when you have a professional providing you with their personal recommendations. (I ended up loving all of my vendors.)
The day of my wedding was flawless. I am a control freak and was a little nervous about how I would do letting go of being in charge on the actual wedding day... let me tell you not once did I worry about a single thing. She was completely in control, making sure everything went without a hitch.

Kimberly was absolutely AMAZING! From our initial meeting, she understood our vision and what we wanted for our wedding. She helped us with every aspect of our wedding and had so many great ideas and suggestions. She handled all the vendors and helped us pick out the vendors that fit our personalities and wedding the best. We loved everyone we worked with that day! She was so organized and on top of everything.
My family is a bit crazy and she handled them so great. She made sure everything ran smoothly and perfect the day of. It couldn't have went more perfect.
My husband was a bit on the fence about hiring a planner for our wedding. He thought we could handle everything. Once the wedding came he agreed that we could have NEVER done it without her. It would have been such a mess if we didn't have Kimberly. We had absolutely no stress or worry that day and that is exactly how every bride and groom should feel on their wedding day.
