Stop your search for a band right now. Kinky Spigot and the Welders is just the band you’re looking for! Lillian and Nadav were incredibly easy and fun to work with. We booked them for our wedding before Covid and they worked with us through all our postponing plans. They helped us set up the sound and Zoom audio for our ceremony and almost a year later, when we finally got to the party, they were absolutely amazing! The band is incredibly talented and kept the party going all night. Weeks later and our guests keep telling us how impressed they were with Kinky Spigot and The Welders.

The Best Band, Hands Down!

We should start by saying at the end of the four hour set Kinky Spigot played the entire dance floor began chanting "ONE MORE SONG, ONE MORE SONG!"
We found Kinky Spigot at a wedding band showcase in Brooklyn and immediately knew they were something special and they delivered across the board. During the planning process, Lillian and Nadav were super organized, attentive, and very available for every little detailed question we had for them. They handled our sound during the ceremony, provided an amazing string quarter during cocktail hour, and when it came to the reception, they knocked it out of the park!
Their music selection is vast and versatile and while they allow you to choose 5 "must play" songs and read the room for the rest of it, every song they played over four hours had the dance floor filled for the entire night. Even when they took breaks, the DJ played perfect songs for the vibe of the room. The evidence is in the fact that so many people came up to us during the wedding and exclaimed "WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS AMAZING BAND!?"
Any couple that is looking to dance the night away should hire Kinky Spigot for their wedding ASAP!

Kinky Spigot is the best wedding band EVER! So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever attended because of the band. The dance floor was full all night. We had been at several events where the band played and we were just waiting for an occasion to hire them ourselves. Kinky Spigot was a huge part of the evening's success-- they created such a joyful and lively energy and we were so happy they were our wedding band! Kinky Spigot was really our first and only choice.

I cannot get over how amazing the band was!!!!!!!!!!! From the moment we reached out to them with interest, to the week after the wedding; they were incredible and so easy to work with!! Yoni was so accommodating, easy to get a hold of and super responsive. The band itself was absolutely unreal... they were the talk of the night and every loved them. They had SOOOOO much energy and they knew how to get the crowd dancing all night long. I RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE!!! We had the 10 piece band and having the horn section was so much fun. seriously-- hire this band!!!!

The most important part of our big day was music. My husband and I went to see showcases and multiple bands before finally dropping into a Kinky Spigot rehearsal. After that brief hour we knew we had to book them. My husband and I are not into conventional pop music, we're huge Phish and Grateful dead fans & wanted to incorporate that into our wedding which Kinky Spigot took to the next level for us! They learned a GD and Phish song for our ceremony as well as a Phish song for our first dance. They agreed to have a keyboard player at the ceremony in addition to a guitar player. We also had them play blue grass at the cocktail hour which the guests all loved and thought was very different from any other wedding they had been to. But then they really surprised us by playing Phish interludes as the guests were being seated for dinner. That personalization just made our night and completely blew us away since that was 100% their doing! A beautiful surprise for us. And for the non-Phish fans at our wedding...people could not stop raving about Kinky Spigot! The talent, professionalism and showmanship is second to none. They played a variety of music and kept everyone on the dance floor. This band really helped make our wedding day unique, personal and magical. Music is so important to us as a couple and it was essential for that to come through at our wedding and they delivered. Could not recommend these guys high enough! A must book for whatever your music taste!

We have never experienced such pure bliss and elation before. Sure, the alcohol and marrying the girl of my dreams had something to do with it -- but Kinky Spigot really made our wedding the event of the century for us and all of our guests.

There aren't enough positive things for me to say about Kinky Spigot. We booked the band for our wedding and had high expectations given all of their positive reviews (here, the Knot, weddingwire, etc.) and their awesome demo video, and even with those high expectations we were totally blown away.

I think the other glowing reviews say it as well as we could, so it's tough to know what to add. To hit on the highlights:

1) Their day-of performance was absolutely phenomenal - I know this is going to sound like a broken record given other reviews, but 10+ people commented on how this was easily the best wedding band they had ever seen, and several said they would pay to see the band play not at a wedding. Watch their demo video on youtube if you aren't sure.

2) Prior to the day-of, the band was incredibly easy to work with. Early in wedding planning, this is something that in all honesty I didn't pay enough attention to, and while some vendors caused us stress down the road, Kinky Spigot was the polar opposite. Every time we spoke prior to the wedding, Yoni and Nadav were calm, reassuring, and totally willing to help us achieve our vision (even when we weren't 100% sure what that vision was). We oscillated on several topics, but they were always flexible willing to accommodate, and more importantly it was clear throughout that they had everything under control.

3) Extra requests: this is less generally applicable but speaks to how great they were to work with. In addition to performing during our cocktail hour and reception, we wanted large speaker set-ups at both at the entrance to our venue and at the ceremony so we could play music from an iPad. The band was able to help set that up and work with our venue so that everything went off without a hitch on the day of.

Bottom line: I can't recommend this band highly enough. Really, truly, nothing but positive things to say about our entire experience with Kinky Spigot.

Hiring Kinky Spigot to play our wedding in August was one of the best and easiest decisions we made in our wedding planning process. Having seen them perform many times over the years, we knew they would guarantee a great dance party, and chose to prioritize Kinky Spigot in our fairly tight wedding budget as soon as we began planning. Their availability actually decided our wedding date! They were incredibly helpful and patient in all correspondence leading up to the wedding day, and gave us guidance on things that we wouldn't have thought of (us being first-time wedding planners). Their song list is amazing and extensive--and they generously learned new songs for us. We genuinely felt cared for in the process and were so grateful for that (wedding planning is stressful!)

On our wedding day, Kinky Spigot far exceeded our already very high expectations. The jazz trio played our cocktail hour, which was so, so lovely and set the tone for a really fun evening. During the reception they had EVERYONE on the dance floor, and we had guests of all ages telling us how amazing the band was (not only the best wedding band people had ever seen but one of the best live bands period).

We cannot recommend them enough, they are an amazing and FUN group of incredibly talented musicians/singers and we just had the best time dancing at our wedding.

They may not have the most extensive song list out there, but their range and the way in which they play them have definitely reset the bar higher for the most fun and exhilarating wedding band ever. They played Stevie Wonder and Justin Bieber, Frank Sinatra and Jay-Z, Whitney Houston and Blur. And all in a big band way. They kept the rhythm going and everyone was on the dance floor. As the bride, I rarely left it all night long!

These guys are so easy-going and flexible. My husband and I hired one of their acoustic solo guitarists to perform the instrumentals for our ceremony and they were happy to learn new music that had great meaning for us. They know what they’re doing; all we did were pick out a bunch of songs that we absolutely wanted to hear (which was really difficult for us since we loved so many of the songs on their list), make a few requests, and let Nadav (the band leader and master of ceremonies) do the rest!

Kinky Spigot played our wedding in June, and I can't recommend them highly enough. We've heard over and over again from people of all generations how amazing they were. The dance floor was packed all night, and they played a great mix of songs that appealed to everyone. We were originally a little bit thrown off when they arrived without the lead singer (who sings on many of the songs on their demo videos and was a big reason for our interest in booking them), but the other singers were great and we had no complaints at all with their performance. If you are considering booking them, I encourage you to do it and rest easy with your decision--their energy and talent makes for a guaranteed great party with great music!

My husband and I recently got married in June and when deciding what type of "vibe" we wanted for the reception, we immediately agreed that we wanted live music. However, what we were finding were typical wedding bands that played cheesy covers of overplayed wedding songs. As music lovers, we wanted a band that looked, felt and sounded like a band you would go and see in concert; a band that would play covers but with their own twist. That is EXACTLY what Kinky Spigot and the Welders did and MORE. They not only blew us away but guests were coming up to us all night raving that they were the BEST wedding band they had ever heard. They made our party an absolute blast and we couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Ah, Kinky Spigot, let us count the ways. Kinky Spigot, we simply don’t have enough superlatives.

We were very apprehensive about how our band would be given that our friends/guest list included a bunch of musician and serious, grown-up music lovers. Our band had to be beyond perfect. They had to make the party. They had to blow minds. Kinky Spigot delivered 100%.

If you’ve begun the process of looking for a band for your wedding in New York City, you will soon know a painful truth. . .that it is truly a challenge to even find one that doesn’t read like a cheesy wedding band. And even worse, a good number of the biggest wedding band outfits are really just a bunch of random musicians thrown together by a management company with little or no experience playing together and no love for what they are doing. Kinky Spigot is the polar opposite of all of this. They are a bunch of friends, who happen to be seriously talented musicians who do love what they do, and who have been playing together for years. They pride themselves on delivering an stunningly amazing performance, and expertly avoiding all of the hideous, cheesy trappings of your standard wedding band.

We wanted a throw-down funk and soul dance party. We got a beyond awesome, throw-down funk and soul party. It was waaaay better than we even imagined. They killed it. Our guests told us repeatedly that it was the best band (not wedding band) they'd heard in a long while. Now we are just looking for a reason to throw another party so we can hire them again.

PS they were also spectacular during the cocktail hour doing their organ jazz bit. Perfectly funky and groovin'.

My husband and I were really excited about planning our wedding, but as passionate music lovers, we dreaded the idea of searching for a wedding band. Several Google searches for "nontraditional wedding band" resulted in the expected list of bands that seemed like bad SNL skits. One band, however, was different in appearance, playlist, and vibe. Once we watched Kinky Spigot's promo video and read through their eclectic, extensive playlist, we knew we had found our band. Unfortunately, when we inquired about booking them for our wedding, we quickly learned that they were already hired for another event. After a week of investigating other options, I turned to my husband and said, "This may sound crazy, but can we change our wedding date to Friday? I don't want another band." My husband looked and me and said, "I don't either. Let's do it." It might have been the best decision we made concerning our wedding. Kinky Spigot is not a wedding band; they are musicians who happen to play weddings. From the first notes of the acoustic guitar played during our ceremony, it was clear we made the right choice. Following the ceremony, we had requested a 3-piece jazz ensemble during our cocktail hour. Sensing the aesthetics of our venue, the band manager approached my husband and asked, "Would it be okay if we kept it more upbeat and funky?" Yes! That impromptu adjustment really set the tone for the evening. After playing songs they learned specifically for our first dance and parent dances, Kinky Spigot then let our guests know that this wasn't going to be any ordinary wedding. For the rest of the night, they played a mix of Motown, R&B, Funk, 90s Hip-hop, and some newer alternative favorites. The dance floor was packed with everyone, from our youngest friends to our oldest relatives. Immediately after our guests congratulated us on our marriage, the next words out of their mouths were either, "This band is awesome!" or "Where did you find this band?" We're lucky we did.

Look no further. You've just found the best wedding band on the planet 'Earth'. You should feel pretty good about yourself. Pat yourself on the back. Now, Kinky Spigot and the Welders quite literally took the ball of clay that was our wedding and carved a masterpiece. From the instrumental guitar during our ceremony that was the perfect accent to the most memorable moment in our lives, to the bluegrass band they formed during the cocktail hour, everything these guys did was fantastic. And the band itself, well, when they came on stage they turned our wedding of the century into the party of the century. Hiring Kinky Spigot and his crazy Welders for your wedding will be the best decision you made since saying "sure, what the hell, let's get married!" Did I mention the horn section jammed on ‘When The Saints Go Marching In’ as they escorted us to a giant bonfire in a field? Yep, that happened.

Just simply the best band you can hire for your wedding, or party, or whatever. I kept saying "I'll take a break to mingle after this song", but then another great song would start and I couldn't leave the dance floor. They had everyone dancing, from the little kids to my college friends to our parents and older relatives. We danced the night away and then shouted for an encore, which they played! If you love soul and just want to dance, this is the band for you.

They were also really great to work with: quick to respond to emails, accommodating with requests, and genuinely excited for our event.

Kinky Spigot are not your typical wedding band. They are more like a band that I would pay a fair amount of money to go see in a bar/club. They are unbelievably talented and very professional. All of our guests were so impressed. I would say that if you are even considering hiring them, just book them now so nobody else takes them for your date!

Wow. I cannot say enough good things about this band. We saw them play our friends wedding out in LI a few months before we got engaged. Throughout the beach wedding we continued to lose power and these guys didn't miss a beat and brought the house down. We couldn't wait to book them for our event. From the very beginning Yoni was our right hand man - taking all of our calls and requests and working with us down to the last detail to make this night unforgettable. From the finger picked ceremony (beautiful), the blue grass cocktail hour (amazing), and the banging reception (phenomenal) these guys are the best of the best. Even now, 2 weeks after our wedding, we emailed Yoni to get the set list (we want to rockout to that playlist forever) he responded right away with no hassle. These guys create a one of a kind experience - one we AND our guests will be talking about for years.

Basically all you need to know: After "you look amazing/congratulations/etc.", the one thing I heard the most from my guests was "this band is amazing." This band is amazing! They will make everyone dance. They are super laid back but still professional. Extra strong recommend.

It was incredibly important to us to have an awesome band play our wedding reception and that was exactly what we got with Kinky Spigot. We danced the night away with our friends and family practically non-stop. I think the only time I really left the dance floor was to cut the cake! Our guests have not stopped gushing about how incredible the band was. We all felt like we were at a private concert and not just dancing along to a "wedding" band.
Yoni and Marlon made sure they played all the songs we asked for, worked with our budget restrictions and even did two special request songs they learned just for us. The sets were a fun mixture of soul, funk and pop covers that they truly made their own. We can not recommend them highly enough!
