  So amazing

  Jenn was AMAZING!! I just don't know what I would have done without her. At first I wasn't sure I would need a planner, thinking I could do it all, well I am so glad that we hired her. She was super helpful in all aspects of the planning process. There just aren't enough words to describe how thankful I was to have her as our planner.

  The best of the best!

  Jenn and her team planned and designed our 12/4/2021 wedding. Let me start by saying that I had an idea of what I wanted my dream day to be but had difficulty articulating it. I knew the feel I wanted, but I had no idea where to even begin to create it. Then we found Jenn! She was able to take my feel and turn it into my dream! Jenn and her team created something you see in the movies. They went above and beyond. Jenn truly wanted my big day to be special and cared about it as it were her own. I cannot thank Knot Your Average Events enough for making our wedding day nothing short of perfect! Her expertise, creativity, and detail are well beyond expectation. Jenn, as a person is also just an amazing woman to work with! I will forever be singing their praise! Did I mention Jenn made it snow at our wedding?!

  The absolute best decision we made was to hire KYAE

  I met Jennifer at a Bridal showcase and instantly loved her energy. I had gone to this showcase looking for things other than a planner did not think I would hire an event planner. She started talking to us about how we could feel like guests at our own wedding and the thought sounded nice, especially after all the planning that was coming our way. Long story short, we decided to hire Knot Your Average Events and could not be happier with that decision. We were married on 8/21/21 and people have asked me since what the best investment was, and I could not mean it more than when I say Jennifer and her team at KYAE. Leading up to the wedding she was always easy to reach if I had questions and went on an on-site visit with me to look at the venue. This was helpful because she asked all the questions I had never thought to ask which saved me down the road with planning. The day of the wedding is where Jennifer and her team really went above and beyond. They took all my boxes of decorations and ideas and turned them into the most beautifully decorated venue while I relaxed and drank mimosas with my bridesmaids. They were flawless when it started raining outside (it was an outdoor wedding) and stuck with me as I decided to push the ceremony back a little to wait out the rain. They kept the guests happy while waiting and didn’t miss a beat when the rain stopped to dry off the chairs and help me to have the wedding I had been dreaming of. I could go on and on about Jennifer and the amazing staff she brought to my wedding but the bottom line is she delivered on her promise. I did not have to stress about anything on my wedding day and was able to enjoy every moment to the fullest. I even had a surprise at the end of the night as they had taken left over food and wine to my husband’s and my cabin and decorated it with flowers and tea lights. I was constantly surprised by the thought and care they put into my day and recommend them as much as I possibly can.

  Everything ran smoothly with KYAE

  Jenn and her team at Knot Your Average Events was the first vendor we chose after we got engaged. Being new to NC, I didn’t know where to begin I’m picking vendors and a venue. Jenn met with us many times to get to know us and provide suggestions for the best vendors. She recommended the perfect venue, which in itself I think was worth the money to hire her. We ending up choosing the venue, dj, officiants, photographers, florist, and lighting/draping vendor from her recommendations and they all turned out wonderful. Now that was all part of the planning that Jenn offers, she also does day of coordination which I HIGHLY recommend!!! She arrived at the venue before any other vendor and facilitated the set up, activities during the ceremony/reception, and the tear down. I can not imagine trying to do all of that while getting ready in the morning (or having my mom and guests do all of that). I was so nice to just trust that she had it all handled and enjoy my night. During the reception she worked with the dj and photographers to have each dance, cake cutting, other activities like loco hour go off without a hitch. Then when the night was over and we were all exhausted, she packed up everything and even put the things I wanted to keep in our car. A little bonus I found at the end of the night was that our hotel room on property was decorated with twinkle lights and rose petals for after the wedding. It is little special touches like this that set Jenn apart from the others. If you are debating getting a wedding planner, I say it is well worth it and if you are thinking about hiring Knot Your Average Events, you will not be disappointed!

  Mother of the Bride

  There are no words to express our thanks and appreciation to Jennifer Ball and her amazing team for the awesome job in planning, coordination and carrying out of our daughter’s wedding. The date was moved three times due to the pandemic. Jenn snd all the vendors moved with us. There were tears shed thru the process but all dried by Jenn as she encouraged us thru each move. It was the dream wedding we wanted and, on our side, was seamless. Jenn snd her team are true professionals and it was apparent as everything was on time and flawless. The wedding day was all about the bridal party. We never had to worry about details. We brought a lot of personal items that were staged in ways we hadn’t even thought of. We highly recommend KYAE for any events or Sandals travel needs!

  Detailed and professional

  Jennifer Ball was absolutely amazing to work with. Her commutation was always on point and very thorough...especially dealing with her client and the COVID-19. In this difficult time we made it work and kept our clients happy! I look forward to working with Jennifer in the future! Highly recommend!

  Jennifer Ball is the best planner you could ask for!! She will remind you exactly what your vision was from the very first time you all meet to discuss the best day ever - and will not let you stray from that. Jenn and her team made our day so easy and fun for not only us, but our families as well. We all got to be a guest and not have to worry about anything! Plus, she will surprise you in the best way possible with little changes on the BIG day that make a BIG difference. You will not find anyone better!!!

  Couldn't have done it without her!

  So thankful for Jen and her team. She was so helpful and available to me every step of the way. My wedding day ran so smoothly. Not sure if it was smooth behind the scenes but I never knew any different. I did not have any worries on my wedding day which is so surprising for someone who has anxiety. I could not be happier with our experience.
  
  Jen also planned out our honeymoon at Sandals and she created the best experience. Her recommendations were perfect and tailored to us. My husband and I cannot wait to go back. We will come to Jen for every Sandals experience in our future.

  Beyond Amazing!

  My husband and I got married June 15th, 2019, and I can wholeheartedly say that Jennifer Ball is absolutely magical. Not a week has passed that my husband and I haven’t talked about Jenn, or something Jenn did for us. She planned our wedding and our honeymoon, kept us sane, continuously reminded us of what WE wanted from the beginning (which is so important after everyone tells you how “they would do it”), and truly— countless other things I most likely will never know about. Jenn was SO good to us— we hired her three (?) times I think...(oh the joy of families trying to change your plans) and she welcomed us back with open arms every time we ran back to her. In fact, from the moment we met her, she said, “I know we are going to work together!” We knew it too, and we are beyond thankful that we did. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her. This woman bent over backwards in every possible way to make our wedding OURS, and I don’t think words will ever be able to express the amount of love and gratitude we have in our hearts for her. Coming from me— someone who had to please three sets of very different parents (and traditional grandmothers)— Jenn still made it possible for us to have the wedding we wanted, and one the family also loved. Tell me that’s not magical! To be honest, I wish I’d given Jenn the reigns from the beginning and used all of her vendors— the few I chose were good, but she KNOWS what she’s doing; she doesn’t just recommend anyone. I attended a friend’s wedding (they hired her after attending ours) and they let her run with it...and it was positively wonderful! The point is, Jenn carried me through the months of planning and my family being...difficult (to say the least). She relentlessly answered all of the questions and emails and phone calls, and not once was she anything but loving and attentive. Look, all you need to know is this— you will be making a huge mistake if you don’t hire Jennifer Ball. She is the absolute best choice for weddings, events, and travel... and the best choice if you want to keep your sanity, and your vision, while planning any of these events.

  KYAE and Jennifer Ball in particular will win your trust and heart with her combination of enthusiasm, expertise, fun, experience, guidance when needed -- did I say FUN yet? -- and the ability to address any issues that arise with professionalism. Her experience and love for this work and her clients are key; her skills are truly astronomical. Our wedding was so successful that I told her directly after the ceremony that it was exactly what we wanted, but upon reflection, it exceeded my expectations. Jennifer and her staff went above and beyond in making last minute changes needed for our unity ceremony, and creating alternate backup schedules in case we had to modify timing due to threatening weather. Everything came together brilliantly. I appreciate all that Jennifer and her staff did to make our wedding special, unforgettable to us, as well as a smashing party for our guests. Many guests told us it was the best wedding they're ever attended. Hurray! Highly, highly recommended, run don't walk to get some KYAE into your life!

  Amazing Wedding Planner!

  Jenn was absolutely amazing to work with. She covered all the bases and then some to ensure that my wedding day was flawless. Jenn is extremely responsive and easy to work with. At then end of the night after our sparkler exit they had the truck pulled up and packed with our things so we could hop in and go home. The few things I thought about having to go pick up the next day were already packed up by Jenn and her team and sent home either with us or with our family, so we had nothing to do the following day except relax! It truly is in the details and you can’t go wrong with KYAE on your team.

  Under normal circumstances planning and celebrating a wedding is hard enough. Throw in monster Hurricane Florence the week of the wedding and the stress level goes through the roof. That is, unless you are being guided by the extraordinary Jenn Ball. She helped us make critical decisions that enable us to have my daughter's dream wedding come true amidst a hurricane. She coordinated the entire event with all the vendors and wedding party participants and then worked tirelessly to re-do all the plans at the last minute when we moved the wedding indoors and changed the wedding time. It was a Herculean effort that she, her exceptional team, and the vendors pulled off successfully and gracefully. Jenn knows her business inside and out. She is the consummate professional whose upbeat personality, thoughtfulness, and resourcefulness help her skillfully and flawlessly orchestrate a million moving parts simultaneously. Here's and example of how incredibly thoughtful she is--at the end of the wedding Jenn asked me if I wanted the many flower arrangements or did I want to donate them. I said, "please donate them." The next day I learned that she donated them to the local hospital's labor and delivery ward because my daughter was born during Hurricane Hugo. Now that's someone who knows how to knit together a powerful story! Jenn and her team are totally committed to fulfilling her mission and enabling the mother of the bride to actually enjoy her daughter's wedding.   Jenn and her team made things simple and easy. She was the first person I called when I was overwhelmed with the idea of planning a wedding, she was calm, friendly and professional. She met with us leading up to the wedding to make sure we were hitting target dates and checked in on us. The day of the wedding, I had zero stresses because her and her team took care of every detail to the last minute (what song to play when, who walks down the isle with whom, had our food at the table and drinks ready for us, and all while making it look so smooth and effortless!). We had circus performers at our wedding so her team took that theme and dressed up for the occasion to blend with the wedding vibe, it was these small, unexpected details that Jenn at KYAE is known for!   I want to start this review by saying the only regret we have regarding our hiring of Jennifer was not hiring her earlier on in our wedding planning process. I also want to mention that my family is in the wedding business (co-owners of Kleinfeld Bridal), so our expectations were quite high, and they were exceeded.
  
  In the beginning, we had this naive notion that we could do it ourselves and that the cost of a wedding planner just isn't worth it. Within a very short period of time after hiring Jennifer, we learned that when it comes to the cost, you will easily make back all (and in our case more) of Jennifer's fees in the discounts you get from her relationships with vendors and the connections to vendors of which you never would have known existed. For example, our food caterer was fantastic and ended up costing about half what our alternative vendor (through our own research) would have cost us. He doesn't advertise as a wedding food provider though because he is already busy enough with his 5+ restaurants. With just that vendor alone, we made up all of Jennifer's fees. She also had an invitation vendor who made us gorgeous invitations for practically a song (we were budgeting 2x the final figure).
  
  Jennifer is available to you and there for you for each step of the way. You start with an initial interview where you go over what you want in a wedding, she gives you a booklet (quite helpful by the way), and she helps you through the process of selecting vendors. I'll never forget going....

  Jenn and her team were beyond phenomenal throughout the entire planning process! Jenn was always a phone call, e-mail or text away and always answered quickly and thoroughly. She handled all of the small details that I would have been stressed out about otherwise. This carried through to our actual wedding day. My wedding day was perfection, literally a dream because of Jenn and her team. They went above and beyond to make sure that every little detail was perfect and that my groom and I (as well as my bridal party) were taken care of throughout the night. I remember people telling me how on top of it my wedding planner and her team were and everyone was so thankful that they were able to be guests at our wedding instead of workers. Words could never explain how eternally grateful I am for Jenn and her team. I think they would be the BEST asset to anyone's wedding day!!

  I attended my niece’s beautiful day in Roxboro NC in October 2017. Jen and her team (Knot Your Average Event) had been selected by my niece to coordinate wedding details. In my lifetime, I’ve attended and even helped out with, a number of weddings; however, from the beginning of my niece’s big day until it was all wrapped up the evening, I watched with amazement at the smoothness with which this wonderful group operated, like a well-oiled machine. They were everywhere checking to ensure people and materials arrived at designated spots on time and in good order. Very impressed at Jen’s keen ability to masterfully, quietly improvise when needed. Her staff were courteous and present to assist and make the day happen and happen it did! It was a beautiful day. A beautiful wedding and fun reception and my niece had her dream wedding. Just wanted to say, “Jen, thank you. I was impressed!”

After the ceremony, the wedding party and family were greeted with snacks and waters (much needed!) Someone was always nearby if we needed anything at all.   Jenn and her staff are awesome! The day flowed seamlessly and I literally had no concern in the world. The days approaching the wedding Jenn was very responsive and helped talk me through my decisions. I can’t imagine the day or the process without KYAE! They’re the best!

I had no idea what all went into planning a wedding and I could not have taken it all on myself. Knot Your Average Events not only helped plan our wedding, but also helped us enjoy our big day without all of the wedding day stresses.
