  Beautiful + Talented Soul in the Wedding World

  When I think of Kristy- the first image that comes to mind is a brilliant big smile.
  I'm a wedding professional and have worked with Kristy numerous times. It literally makes me want to do backflips when I learn she's the photographer for one of my couples. Why? Because she's SO talented, SO positive, and genuinely enjoys what she works. These 3 attributes make all the difference at so many different moments throughout the day. I also adore her open mind and heart. In her presence, and any 2nd photographer she chooses presence, you feel the ability to be your authentic self.   Kristy Lumsden Photography, picture perfect

  We got the pleasure of working with Kristy for our engagement shoot and were blown away with the stylistic creation she presented us. We could not wait to have her photograph our big day. She captured the best intimate moments of our day and our photographs from her are better than we could have ever imagined! Her style is stunning and we continue to receive compliments on our wedding photos all the time! It was so easy to work with her and to be ourselves, we honestly forgot we were being photographed at times because she was so comfortable to be around. She is fantastic and truly skilled.

  Fun, organized & talented professional!! Hire her.

  Kristy is the person you want behind the camera at your wedding. She’s going to capture every emotional or worthwhile moment. She is going to set a schedule with you and stick to it. She will help everyone loosen up in front of the camera, and she will respond to you leading up to and even after your wedding. She’s talented — and she brings on talented second shooters if you opt to have two pros documenting your day. You’d be lucky to have her as your wedding photographer; she’ll go above and beyond (talking with other vendors, getting what she needs to ensure you get what you hope for, and coming with ample equipment and backup). Hire her!

  The perfect match

  Brides, I speak to you from the heart... Kristy is incredible. My wife and I were pretty level headed about how many good photos we would have of ourselves after our big day, but I must say, I've only seen the first look and they are absolutely incredible. Kristy is a genius and worth every penny. She made us look and feel more beautiful than we ever thought possible. She was our perfect partner in all of this. Professional, organized, efficient, flexible, helpful, kind... I can't provide enough positive adjectives.   Amazing talent and such a wonderful person!

  We booked Kristy for our wedding at Phipps and we are so glad we did. We have only seen the sample photos so far but oh my god are they amazing. Just looking at the photos makes me cry happy tears because of all the emotion that is portrayed in the photos. I had really high expectations for my wedding photos and I can already say that I'm blown away. Not only is she amazingly talented but she is also responsive, calm, and kind.

  My fiance and I booked Kristy for our Carnegie Mellon engagement photos. We only had one morning in Pittsburgh, but Kristy was incredibly accommodating to our last minute request and even agreed to meet us for a sunrise session... in November. She went above and beyond to make our session enjoyable, memorable and unique and her passion for love is clearly reflected in her work. We had so many beautiful photos that the only difficult part about our experience was deciding which photos to use for our save the date! We highly recommend Kristy, you will not be disappointed!

  Kristy took engagement photos and anniversary photos for us and I seriously regret not being able to hire her for our wedding. I hired her for anniversary photos because I was not happy with the quality of work of the photographers during the wedding. You get what you pay for and Kristy is worth every penny and more. Everyone should be hiring her! She is so easy to work with and takes amazing photos. My hubby feels awkward in front of a camera but she somehow got him to loosen up enough to deliver us tons of happy and sweet photos. I was seriously worried how many there would be to work with based on his comfort level but she is a magician! I LOVE the photos she took!

  I booked Kristy to shoot my surprise proposal to my partner and we'll definitely be using her again for the wedding. She was a pleasure to work with, a gifted photographer, and did a few things that I consider well above and beyond my expectations. I proposed in a local cat cafe in a room that's basically wide open. Kristy is allergic to cats and had to take Benedryl and wear a disguise to the cafe so that my partner wouldn't realize that this was a proposal. She also took us to another location outside of the cafe to catch some pics on a rooftop at sunset. It was unplanned, but she has an eye for what will create... Read more

She also took us to another location outside of the cafe to catch some pics on a rooftop at sunset. It was unplanned, but she has an eye for what will create a stunning back drop and those turned out to be some of our most beautiful photos. Ultimately, I was looking for some candid shots that really captured the connection between my partner and I (who photograph horribly), and Kristy gave us dozens of photos that did exactly that.
  It was also important for me to work with someone who supports the LGBTQIA community, which was another reason why Kristy was perfect for us. Couldn't be happier!
