Our wedding at the Thursday Club was exactly what we were looking for. Ani from venue was incredibly kind, supportive and fun to work with. The venue was perfect for our 100 person wedding. Highly recommend this venue for any event but especially a wedding.

From start to end, we were so impressed by The Thursday Club. Our first visit was to one of their open houses and we booked almost immediately afterwards. It was only the third venue we looked at, but we knew it was the one. One of our top reasons for choosing this venue was the indoor and outdoor spaces available. We chose to have the ceremony and the dinner in the courtyard and the cocktail hour and dancing inside the ballroom. Next to the ballroom is also an adjacent tea room so throughout the evening there was plenty of space for our guests to flow and move about. We had a small wedding of only 50 people, but we definitely see how twice as many people would comfortably fit as well. The staff, Ani & Jose, were both so easy to work with and very accomodating. Between the venue and the caterer we hired, we did not have to find any outside rental vendors which made planning so much easier. The venue does require you to have at minimum a day of wedding coordinator, but honestly we are soooo glad we did have a coordinator. It made our lives so much easier and we were actually able to enjoy our day. We found out later that the venue and our coordinator worked together to solve a couple of hiccups during the event, but we were none the wiser to any of it! The Thursday Club will always be a part of our lives and we truly feel like we are a part of The Thursday Club community.

I love working at La Cañada Thursday Club for many reasons! As a wedding planner, it's always a pleasure getting to coordinate an event somewhere so classic and beautiful, and with a great team of people to work with! Ani was so great to communicate with throughout the planning process and made coordinating all the details leading up to the event a total breeze. On the day of, both Jose and Ani were so helpful and on top of anything we needed all day—helping to keep the overall flow of the event smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable! Needless to say, each couple I've worked with at this venue have been So happy with their overall experience hosting their special day here. 10/10 highly recommended for your next special event!

My husband and I got married at La Canada Thursday Club in March 2022. We could not have asked for a better experience. Chris and Betty were incredible to work with, patiently answered all our questions, and ensured our day was perfect. The venue is beautiful, immaculate, and perfect for an intimate wedding. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue. Thank you La Canada Thursday Club team for helping make our big day was extra special!

Betty & Chris at the club were great to work with! They were clear and communicative throughout the process. The club itself is a gorgeous venue with an airy and open ballroom, plenty of restrooms and lounging space, but the cherry on top is the courtyard with a beautiful large oak tree. It was the perfect space to host our ceremony and an outdoors dinner reception. We loved every inch of the space, and the venue staff was on top of everything. The event went smoothly and we couldn't be happier with our choice!

We had a great wedding and everything was beautiful at the La Canada Thursday Club. We wanted an intimate wedding with both indoor and outdoor areas. This venue and the team that supports it were wonderful. Very easy to work with and accommodated our every wish. They also helped us find some of our other vendors from their preferred list which contributed to making our day special.

The La Canada Thursday Club was a dream venue for our wedding. It was so hard for us to find a place in LA that was accessible and affordable and beautiful so when we came across the Thursday Club, we were so thrilled and relieved. It's such a hidden gem, tucked away on a quiet street, with both indoor and outdoor space, ample parking and all rentals done in-house. Chris and Betty were so great to work with and handled every detail. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue! So above and beyond what we imagined.

I thank my lucky stars we went with the La Cañada Thursday Club and CR Design & Rentals for our wedding. It was incredibly affordable, Chris & Betty were awesome to work with, AND the day turned out even better than we could've imagined. Highly recommend!!!

We found this venue just five months before our wedding date in May 2020 after our original venue canceled weddings for the rest of the year. With all the uncertainty with Covid-related regulations, we were looking for a venue that would be flexible as we waited to see what the state would allow as vaccines became more available. Chris and Betty were so understanding and on the same page with us throughout the whole process. They kept us up to date with the changes and helped us make multiple contingency plans. With restrictions changed just a few weeks before our wedding date, we were able to have a beautiful ceremony and reception for 100 guests! I really appreciated them being thorough with learning the guidelines so that our guests and the staff felt safe attending.

The venue is absolutely beautiful - we held the ceremony and reception both outdoors. Weather was perfect and our pictures (especially by the main doors) came out amazing! I would highly highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a venue that feels intimate and private.

La Cañada Thursday club is a beautiful, elegant venue. We fell in love with the venue the minute we walked in. The venue has lovely florals and a beautiful garden, great areas for pictures. It has a beautiful outdoor courtyard, ballroom and a huge parking space. This venue was perfect for our small, private and intimate wedding (130 people or less )Chris and Betty were great to work with and made everything so easy to guide us through the wedding planning process. They were both always available responding emails, very professional and organized during planning meetings. They also have their own rental company and great referrals with outside vendors. We are so blessed and grateful that we had our wedding here. We really appreciate all of the work Chris, Betty and everyone else put into helping us have the wedding of our dreams. Thank you!!

Unbelievable venue in a gorgeous area. Great price as well.

Chris and Betty were very helpful and wanted to make sure our big day went perfectly. All vendors they recommended were great as well.

Our daughter’s wedding could not have been better. The Thursday Club is the perfect venue because of the wonderful people and because of the beautiful facilities.

What a great little Spanish style venue for us to have our reception at and the outdoor patio with the trees and the nice privacy wall made it perfect for our group. They had the servers and the rentals all done in house so we did not have to worry about it and their on site kitchen came in handy for our extra items we brought. Overall it made for a great night and did I mention they have parking! It was affordable and Chris was so helpful.

What a great little venue with a nice Spanish American theme. They took great care of us and we really enjoyed the experience here. The courtyard and inside area made the flow really great for our reception. We could not be happier.

We could not have imagined a more perfect venue than the Thursday Club, and that was due in large part to the wonderful support that Chris and Betty provided as part of their rentals service. When we had our initial meeting with them at an Open House in April, we hadn’t yet made many decisions about our reception, but the questions they asked helped us think through details we hadn’t even thought of. After that initial meeting, they sent a preliminary quote along with diagrams of the venue for the ceremony and the reception. Any time we emailed with a change, they sent new quotes and diagrams by the next day. They always responded promptly to our questions and explained clearly about set-up options and constraints.

Because Chris and Betty work exclusively with the Thursday Club, they have a unique expertise about the venue’s strengths and weaknesses, and how to make the most of the space. From all our interactions, it was obvious that Chris and Betty had a ton of experience with events, and knew many ways the space could be configured. They had excellent practical advice about how many guests would fit comfortably in the space, and at what point we would need to rethink table arrangements and extra restrooms. They were accommodating and honest. In short, they were a pleasure to work with.

Chris and Betty gave us a packet of information, including recommendations for other vendors with whom they had worked before. We ended up using their bar and drink services and recommendation for a caterer, and could not have been happier. Their drink servers were great at their jobs and had wonderful personalities, and kept our guests in good spirits. The non-alcoholic, self-serve beverage service provided guests with refreshing lemonade, iced tea, and water throughout the day, and most crucially before the ceremony started. Although we ended up hiring a separate day-of coordinator, they also offer that service.

I'm on cloud nine from our wedding hosted at La Canada Thursday Club.

We originally selected the club because of these things:
1. Free and plentiful parking
2. Nice part of town, easy freeway access
3. Affordable price
4. Great size for small-medium wedding
5. Beautiful patio

We got so much more:
1. Chris and Betty Rekdahl- amazing rentals and help onsite. So helpful, knowledgable and just plain nice!
2. The ladies! Everyone at this club is so friendly and genuinely seem to like hosting special events.
3. Quiet neighborhood
4. Beautiful landscaping, mood lighting and easy access for all our vendors.

The rentals were affordable, the venue was affordable, and there is a great deal of flexibility in that you get to choose all of your own vendors (except rentals) when you book this venue. We had 74 people and they all were seated comfortably for brunch in the great room and we had our cocktail hour and ceremony on the patio.

We had both our ceremony and reception at The Thursday Club. So, so amazing.

We held our ceremony outside in front of their gorgeous gigantic tree. While our guests milled on the patio, sipping cocktails and eating appetizers, the team seamlessly moved the chairs inside to be used for the reception (to save us money - how awesome are they!). We had the reception inside in their beautiful ballroom type setting, with wood beams across the ceiling.

First of all, Judy (who is actually a volunteer and doesn't get paid for this!) was so awesome to work with in terms of coordinating the venue booking. We lucked out with a cancellation as this place can book up. Chris helps with all rentals (chairs, heat lamps, dishes, tables, etc.). You can also book some servers through him too at extremely reasonable rates. He was so helpful and responsive to all of our little last minute changes as well. He and his wife Betty run the rentals agency together and are amazing.

Other than that, everything else you can decide. As long as people have liability insurance, you can book them. We had the Kogi food truck, cakes and appetizers from Lincoln Pasadena, bought our own booze and hired the Whaling Club to serve it, and book the wonderful Dart DJ for the event. We were even able to use the wonderful grand piano for a musician friend to play a song for us at the wedding.

It was an absolute dream. So easy, very affordable (especially as far as LA goes), and an easy team to work with. We loved it!!

We held our wedding reception at the Thursday Club in July and absolutely loved it. The venue is gorgeous, with beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a lovely patio with a small fountain. The landscaping outside the historic building and on the patio are beautifully maintained, which means the venue requires little decoration. It’s also quite affordable for Los Angeles, with the added perk of ample free on-site parking.

The staff at the Thursday Club are true professionals and were an absolute pleasure to work with. They answered our questions promptly over email and scheduled several phone calls + a face-to-face meeting to make sure we had all the details in place. When those details changed at the last minute due to a freak LA thunderstorm, the staff handled everything professionally, which kept our stress to a minimum. They were able to move all our dinner tables (14) inside the ballroom and still leave room for a small dance floor--and the site manager even helped us hire some additional staff last-minute to help keep everything running smoothly. We can’t praise this venue highly enough. Given the high quality and affordable price, this venue books up very quickly, especially for weekend dates, so bear that in mind if you’re planning an event.

What an amazing venue! My wedding reception was a dream come true. Aside from the beautiful decor, Chris and Betty helped create the perfect atmosphere on our wonderful day.

Such a hidden gem! This venue was perfect and didn't break the bank. Chris, the event coordinator was amazing, and was so willing to accommodate my 150+ guest list and make the space look beautiful. This place is a perfect location if you want to pick and choose your vendors. I'm sure I was able to save a bunch from being able to find my own caterer and bar-tending service instead of a packaged deal some venues hold you to. Parking was not an issue, as they have a large parking lot adjacent to the property. I still have friends compliment how great the venue was. Thanks Thursday Club for making my dream wedding a reality.

We had our wedding (both ceremony and reception) at La Canada Thursday Club on May 30th, 2015 and are so happy we did! Chris and his team handled the coordination of the venue and rentals which helps put your mind at rest since they will make sure that everything goes according to plan.

The Venue: gorgeous and quite spacious venue (we only had 150 people) but it is obvious that you can easily fit more if needed. We fell in love with the "Spanish" style architecture of the club and is very well maintained by Chris and his staff. The venue itself consists of a decent-size hall, an adjoining tea room, a stage, a kitchen, and an absolutely gorgeous courtyard. We opted to have our dinner outside (although definitely recommend making sure the weather is cool enough to do so) and have our dance and other activities in the main hall (air conditioned)! We received many compliments from our guests that the venue was perfect!

The price: for being in the greater LA area, this place is a STEAL! We shopped around multiple venues in the LA area but ultimately decided to choose this place because it is the most reasonably price venue by far.

Amenities: Chris has his own rental company and prefers to rent his equipment (tables, chairs, etc...) but I am sure he is flexible on this. If you are using this place for a wedding, I would definitely recommend using Chris as his equipment is of great quality and can even work on getting other items that he may not carry at great prices. Plus at the end of the night, who wants to be coordinating outside rental companies to pick up their gear? Its pretty much a no-brainer in this area!

Parking: huge lot!

Overall, this venue is gorgeous and will definitely not disappoint!
