  Friendly service and beautiful gowns at reasonable prices

  My experience getting my wedding dress here was so great! The ladies I worked with were excellent in helping me find the perfect dress and the tailors do such an amazing job! They were able to bring my dress down from something like a size 8 to a size 0 and add an extra layer of tulle to customize it for me. They all work so efficiently and with such kindness and positivity. Every dress fitting left me more and more excited for my wedding. I really appreciate their friendliness and ability to make things work in the time frame needed.

  Found the dress

  Cassie was so nice and professional. She helped me try on at least a dozen dresses until I found the one. Definitely recommend ladies and Gents.

  Perfect Experience!

  Back in Jan! This was the first location out of 2 bridal shops in town I had an apt for. They took me right at the start of my apt, I didn’t have to wait. I was helped by Hunter who was amazing. She picked dresses that were my preferred style and within reasonable price range I requested. She also helped with buttoning, zipping the back of all my dresses, made me aware of each price. She let me know if I bought a dress that day, it being my first time there I would receive a $200 off discount as well! These guys really make it feel all about you and spend the time with you, were respectful and friendly with my bridal party who came to support me also. I found the dress and had my moment of tears, I set it on hold because I had one more apt and wanted to explore all my options. The other boutique in town, I had a terrible experience at, came back to Ladies and Gents the same day to see if I still felt like the dress I loved earlier still gave me the same feeling and it did. Hunter also helped with the check out process and answered all my questions in regards to altering when the time comes. We also took photos with the famous I said Yes sign, adding some fun to the experience.
  
  Once my dress came in Lady and Gents let me know, I texted them with the number provided and they were quick to respond!

  Wonderful bridal consultants/dresses

  Darian was a fabulous bridal consultant. She pulled 7-8 dresses for me to try on after I shared my ideas of what style I thought I might like & my dress was within that first bunch! She was very easy going, and made me feel comfortable, but that didn’t take away from her professionalism. With everything going on with the Corona Virus, Ladies & Gents has been nothing but flexible and informative regarding their scheduling for dress alteration appointments/fittings. My bridesmaids, mother, mother in-law, and flower girl all found beautiful dresses at L & G. I would recommend them to any bride!

  L & G goes above & beyond!!

  With less than 2 months before my wedding day Ladies & Gents were able to order my dress from their warehouse and have it in store within 2 weeks!! Miranda & Darian were more than amazing!!

  I looked for a dress at a few other shops and nothing felt right. Right when I walked into Ladies & Gents, Jade was so accommodating! She pulled the dress I ended up choosing! She was helpful and super sweet. The dress is a very reasonable price as well. Thanks L & G!

  I am future bride from another corner of the world. I was looking my dream dress from different online shops all over the world, but mainly from US. As I had loads of hesitations when it comes buying wedding dress online, I was just looking for design ideas to present it to my dressmaker. Then I found IT! I contacted to seller right away and received very quick response. It was Ladies and Gents Bridal and Laura Wageman was the person whom I had very smooth communication and it just felt so right and safe to make a deal with her. I just cant describe in words how professional, helpful and flexible she was with me and we made a deal! I was lucky to have my dress in stock and it took only 3 weeks from our first contact to receive a dress to Estonia. Maybe I am just a lucky one that my measurements meets exactly size chart, but this dress fits perfectly and do`nt need even tiny alteration:) I cant be luckier!!!
  I would encourage all abroad brides to cooperate with Ladies and Gents Bridal. Of course it is brides responsibility to be careful picking right size and ask all necessary questions before purchase.

  I selected a dress by Casablanca but I wanted the neckline modified to suit my taste so Laura, the owner of Ladies and Gents, drew up the modification to send to the dressmaker. When the dress came in the neckline was all wrong so Laura sent it back. When the second dress came in the neckline was still wrong so Laura decided to have it fixed by her in house seamstress, Theresa. Thanks to their attention to detail and expertise, 6 fittings later I had a beautiful, custom designed dress that looked fabulous on my wedding day. And I have to say the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Ladies and Gents Bridal for your wedding apparel needs.

  I found my dream dress at Ladies and Gents Bridal! The staff is awesome. They made me feel comfortable while selecting a dress. The atmosphere is great-very intimate. I didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed at all. I even walked in once without an appointment and was able to try my dress on so my bridesmaids could see it. I highly recommend this location for any bride looking for not only a perfect dress, but the right ladies to help you with it from beginning to end!

  I just noticed from the minute I walked into the store, how comfortable and not rushed the atmosphere was. I was allowed to look through the gowns with ease and was able to try on as many as I wanted without the salespeople being annoyed, and actually I just had fun, and Maggie (my consultant) just put me at ease. Being plus size makes it hard to shop, and most pluse size dressses are just not fashionable, BUT this store has the same fashion in the plus size, and they can change things on your dress that you dont like or want to ad. They special ordered my gown into a halter and my sample I tried on was a strapless. They also ordered it with a little less beading and with a corset in the back which made me look WAY smaller. These girls know there stuff....they know that if you look GREAT, brides will buy and their selection and designers are GREAT. I felt like amazing in my gown (Casablanca) Some advice is that sometimes they get really busy and even so service is good, but if you dont like that, then its best to make an appointement or call ahead to see if its really busy. I think though they have 3-4 sales girls to help but it can be very busy at times.

  The quality of everything at this bridal shop is GREAT! You are treated like a person from the second you walk in, and the dresses are more than a couple panels of material sewen together. I only wanted to try on 3 or 4 dresses, but they encouraged me to try on more. I ended up buying a dress (amazingly gorgeous) I would have never thought of even looking at if they had not told me to. Everyone who works there knows what they are talking about and knows their stock. They even price match other shops but you probably will not find better deals with this quality.

  The girls at Ladies and Gents were so sweet and helpful! I got my dress during a store wide sale too! I always had a fun time when I went in there for fittings. When I picked up my dress for the last time, it was kind of sad! All the alterations on my dress were perfect, and they only needed to be done once. My only complaint is that they don't have a very large selection of bigger sizes to try on. The dress I wanted was only available to try on in a size 6, so I had to order it without knowing how it would look on me. But, everything worked out in the end! I also bought my veil from them. I found the one I wanted, after multiple failures from online vendors, and they sold me the one that was in the store. I got it for cheaper, and it was in perfect condition.

That made me nervous to order dresses that I picked out in a catalog and had not seen in person. However, the dresses for the bridal party turned out beautiful!   When I had bought my dress they were very helpful. Very nice ladies. She had really new what I wanted when I explained my dress to her. Hunter was awesome.
  For the tuxedos it was a disaster. We had 7 groomsmen, a groom, and 2 fathers and which none of their tuxedos fit. One of the girls had asked my dad for his sizes and never measured him. When tuxedos came in they were way too big or way too short. Although they were wrong sizes the lady was very helpful and made every correction possible. At the end we were pleased with how they fit.

  I was looking for a dress with sleeves for my wedding, which is impossibly hard to find. After visiting a few bridal gown stores, I figured that I wouldn't be able to find what I wanted. I ended up at Ladies and Gents, and though I still only found strapless dresses, they made me feel confident that sleeves could be added to any of their dresses by their seamstresses (who were also great). The consultant was so sweet and made me feel really special. I would suggest that all Bakersfield brides pay Ladies and Gents a visit!

  I purchased my dress, veil, head piece, and shoes from this boutique, and had all my alterations done and I had them dye my shoes also. My good experiences were somewhat hit and miss, seemingly depending on who was working that day and who was having a good one. I bought a floor model dress so repair work and cleaning/pressing were included. The dress was a few sizes too large for me but the seamstress was able to make it fit like a glove! I was called when my accessories showed up and the dying of the shoes only cost $5 since I had purchased the shoes with them. The dye job was, unfortunately, a $5 job... We had a fall wedding so the dye was orange - there were splotches of it on the under soles of the shoes and some tiny crevices were missed so those glared white! At the end of the process the cleaning/pressing takes place, I made an appt to come back and pickup the cleaned/pressed dress. When I showed up for my appt I was informed the dress was not ready and I would have to come back that afternoon - I was leaving out of town to the venue city that evening. Needless to say that was definitely a little wrinkle, and, speaking of which, I have to wonder if the pressing was actually finished since there seemed to be some unsightly folding/wrinkling. In the end everyone thought the dress and my shoes were gorgeous so I guess that's what matters most..

  I used to think Ladies & Gents was THE place to go in Bakersfield for a gown. My dress ordering went well but there was nothing difficult about it really. I do think its crappy I paid $1300 for a dress and they made me pay for pressing it. Service was inconsistent... I had great service from Katy, the sales girl who got credit for my order, but the other girls didnt care most of the time. My main issue is that I ordered 6 bridesmaid dresses and we added appliqué's. The girls were suppose to be charged for both at the same time. I had some girls that were charged half the dress for deposit, some that were charged half the dress and half appliqué for deposit, one girl wanted to pif and they only charged her for the dress so she ended up owin when she Thot it was taken care of because the shop was not uniform. Probably associated w the deposit was the issue that the original appliqué I picked out was discontinued by the time the dresses came in. (I had asked in the beginning if it could be set aside and was assured that availability wouldn't be an issue). After being told my quotes price included have the appliqués put on dresses was included I was told the girls would have to pay $10 for this service, which I was able to resolve but again it's an issue of not being organized. A sales girl did tell me I should ask for pressing to be free when I picked my dress up but when I did I found out that needs to be negotiated at purchasing time. So a word of advice that you should ask before signing. I was also told in the beginning I'd get 15% discount on alterations and when I went for alterations told I didn't qualify because I didn't get my tuxes w them. I was a little tired of arguing and had too much else going on so didnt push the issue. I guess bridal shops aren't expecting much repeat business anyway but I wouldn't really recommend a friend to this place. Organizing 6 bridesmaids is not easy, the shop should at least be organized!!!!!
