  A great venue for the nature-inclined!

  We held our wedding at Lake St. Clair Metropark's Huron Point Gazebo and Thomas Welsh Activity Center. Everything was beautiful—we got lots of compliments from our guests about both locations. The staff was very friendly and responsive and answered all of our questions leading up to the event. During the wedding, they were around to help with all the little things when we gave them a call. We loved how wheelchair accessible the park and facilities were for our loved ones. The police presence and firm regulations have their pros and cons, but overall, we were very happy we decided to have our wedding here.

  The Lake St Clair Metropark was great. They were patient and helped us with everything we needed. The venue is gorgeous. Everyone loved it.

  We loved having our wedding at Indian Springs Metropark! We worked with both Tamra and Joe, I was a little nervous when the coordinator changed a few months before our wedding but the transition was smooth and we didn't notice any difference or hiccups at all! The venue is beautiful and ceremony location is amazing.

  As a wedding DJ and owner of an production company i had the pleasure to work at the glass house over thanksgiving weekend. I was a bit skeptical at first, but once I got there, the venue and the staff made me feel right at home. Huge thanks to Lana, Kim, and the entire staff! The food was amazing, they helped me unload my equipment, they had a table ready for me, and close access to power. We provided battery LED lighting, to accent the venue and we got many compliments from the guests as they were approaching the venue, since its all glass windows you can see the beauty of this venue from the parking lot. They have plenty of parking, easy access to the venue, and its very spacious. This is a GREAT venue if you are looking for something unique and on the east side.

  I found Indian Springs online the day after I got engaged and knew it was where I wanted to get married. Tamra was amazing and quickly responded to all of my email questions! Since I was planning from another location, I really appreciated her help. The venue was perfect on the day and my guests loved it.

  We absolutely loved our wedding held at Indian Springs Metropark! The outdoor pergola was stunning for our summer ceremony & the event room itself is just breathtaking! Our guests loved the floor to ceiling windows & outdoor deck to watch the sunset! The event coordinator was responsive and accommodating. Perfect summer venue!

  Let me be clear on this review: the metro park staff and the caterer (Kosch) deserve separate reviews, which I provided for each. In fact, one criticism I have is that despite the fact that Kosch runs the entire food service operation for the park, it seems like the LSCMP staff and Kosch do not communicate well at all. There were a few occasions in which it seemed as though one or the other were quite out of the loop on what was going on. That said, the park staff were courteous, helpful, and friendly; they seemed to be concerned that my day ran smoothly. However, I highly suggest using a day-of coordinator at the very least due to the communication gaps I mentioned earlier. The park staff had my room clean and ready to decorate 36 hours before my event, and had no problem answering my countless neurotic questions about the facility. We were a little disappointed that we had to pay for each park pass for our guests (Indian Springs includes this in their facility rental fee), but I feel they were more than fair on the final bill. I am very greatful for the nice job they did on the park staff end.

  Indian Springs was my dream venue! The weather was unexpectedly cold and raining, but they made my ceremony happen outside under the gorgeous Oak tree. All of my guests commented on how hard their staff worked-- one woman was outside with towels wiping down the chairs just 30 minutes before our ceremony! They allowed us to make the call if we wanted to keep the ceremony outside or move inside the reception room. There was a great space downstairs for my bridesmaids and I to get ready so we could hang out there all day. We were able to come in at 9am the day of to setup, although if they didn't have a wedding the previous night, we would have been allowed to set up the day before. At the end of the night, I had started to gather some of my centerpieces to take home, and one of the staff members kindly shooed me back to the dance floor and let me know they would take care of it. They allowed us to leave the items we did not want to keep, so we only had to pack up those things we wanted. We chose this venue for the outdoors, but the building itself was amazingly clean and beautiful. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the location of our wedding!

  I loved this place! It was so beautiful, the guests kept asking over and over how I found such a beautiful place, the staff is very friendly, I highly recommend using it for an unforgettable wedding experience!

  We held our daughters wedding at Indian Springs a couple weeks ago and I would have to be the first to admit that I was nervous with the negative reviews out there regarding Cass and Kosch catering. I feel like I have to take the time and make sure there to give our opinion, it was absolutely AMAZING!! We got tons of compliments, everything was perfect.
  
  Cass was very quick to respond to every email and was very accommodating. We did the "hog heaven" BBQ menu and it was delicious! A big key for getting the best of the foods offered is to go to the taste testing. Though a lot of the BBQ menu is not offered for tasting, most of the sides are and some were great while others were not. Our food was terrific!
  
  Tamra at Indian Springs was great in the beginning but the day we met up with her to go over our set up, she was slightly difficult. Our daughter had envisioned how she wanted everything and had drawn in out, Tamra changed most of it. We had 20 guest tables (8 chairs at each) and a head table for 10. Our daughter really wanted the head table along the wall with the window, just so much prettier there. She did not want it there and thought we should talk with our photographer per the glass being behind us. Our photographer had no problems with it being there. Our DJ wanted his booth in the far right corner, Tamra said no, she wanted him behind the dance floor with part of his booth actually being ON the dance floor (though not a lot). Long story short, Tamra was not the one that handled the set up on the Friday before the wedding, Tammy from Kosch did and she was beyond amazing. She went above and beyond and made everything go so smooth, I just can't praise her enough. Kosch is lucky to have her. The head table was against the wall with the windows, our DJ fit perfectly in the corner, EVERYTHING was PERFECT.
  
  I would highly recommend having your wedding and reception at this facility. The food is pricy but it is worth it! Gorgeous venue. :)

  I was a guest at this wedding. Awesome venue, great view, couldn't have been happier with the food. I am definitely considering this venue for my wedding. I contacted the caterer and immediately received info. Can't wait to start planning my big day here!

  Kosch catered our wedding, and at first we were a little apprehensive being that they were the contract caterer (meaning we had no other options). We were dead set on the venue, so we agreed to Kosch. They only have samples of the food once a year, so we had to go to another wedding to pick up a to-go box to sample the food, which felt a little awkward, but was fine. We are glad we did, because it changed our mind on what to order for our wedding.
  In the office, we dealt with Cass, who is the events coordinator. He guided us throughout the process, and was very responsive to e-mails (we did most of our interaction that way); most he answered in a few hours’ time. He saved us money when I was getting a little overzealous with ordering booze (we never ran out) and we actually ordered the perfect amount.
  The food was phenomenal. We had a buffet style wedding, and it was delicious. Many of our guests have made it a point to tell us that the food was awesome. They also did our wedding cake, which was beautiful, moist and delicious. We really couldn’t have asked for more.
  The onsite staff at our wedding was awesome as well. The onsite wedding coordinator was great, she helped us with everything we needed the day before and day of-she really went above and beyond and was very kind. The wedding cake decorator stayed late to do some last minute flower work with the cake (I was about 40 minutes late with the fresh roses) and was very nice and chatty with my Mother. The bartenders were super friendly and genuinely looked happy to be there. They accommodated our guests’ needs with ease and grace, with zero problems. The wait staff was constantly there to clean up plates or glasses, and again looked happy to be there.
  It should also be mentioned that Kosch provided all of our linens (including chair covers with bows), dishes, glass wear and centerpieces (cast iron light trees) which were perfect.

  The delicious food and the service from all involved was absolutely fantastic and exceeded well beyond what we expected. We received so many compliments on the delicious food, how it was served, the lovely windows that were opened and what a great venue this was. Christine is highly efficient, helped us a lot with the menu, and attended to every last detail in a very professional manner. She was an absolute delight to work with. The staff was very friendly and gave us excellent service. Our guests told us it was the best wedding they ever attended. We highly recommend this venue - we are still in "awe" on how perfect it was.

  Christine and her crew were very flexible and accommodating when due to rain, we had to move the wedding ceremony from outside to the inside where the reception was. The food was awesome. In fact, the salmon was grilled then brought in to the buffet line, hot. The guests raved about the food to us.

  Christine and her crew were very flexible and accommodating when due to rain, we had to move the wedding ceremony from outside to the inside where the reception was. The food was awesome. In fact, the salmon was grilled then brought in to the buffet line, hot. The guests raved about the food to us.

  I could not have been happier with our wedding at Metro Beach. The site is beautiful. It is extremely nice to have your own building with only one wedding taking place. The park is very helpful. The park superintendent, Jim, is one of the most caring and thoughtful individuals. He and his team helped us with everything from helping me get to my pictures, helping my grandmother with a wheel chair and helping our guests get out of the rain very quickly. The floor to ceiling windows makes this venue memorable and beautiful. I got a ton of compliments.
  
  The food and services provided by AFM were terrific. Everyone loved the food, and they were able to help me with my special food needs. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our guests. They even went above and beyond to help our older guests. I got so many compliments on the food I cannot count! Christine was very happy to answer questions and work with you to get exactly what you want.
  
  I would recommend Metro Beach and AFM to other couples looking for a unique location for their wedding!

  Beautiful! I can not tell you how many compliments we received about our venue. There is floor to ceiling windows in the reception area. The oak tree was perfect for our ceremony. They have a fully equipt bar. They have a PA and a sound system. It was just awsome.

  Indian Springs Metropark is a beautiful venue for a wedding. We had an amazing time and the service from the site was so helpful. THe only problem is that you have to go with their caterer Kosch who they have a contract with and they are so unprofessional and rude. The event coordinator Cass is uninterested in supporting any kind of request and with the amount of money you pay to the caterer, they should be more then accommodating

Every guest told me it was the BEST wedding they had ever attended. I was out of the country much of the time during the planning. Everything was reported to me by e-mail. EVERY SINGLE DETAIL was covered. There was nothing left out. They even had little baskets for each bathroom with everything a guest might need - like hair sprays and mouth wash and mini sewing kits; bandaids, sun block, Motrin, Tylenol and every other personal thing you might ever need. It was an outdoor wedding at Harsens Island, MI. It will be talked about on that island forerver! And I can't begin to tell you how out-going and friendly each staff member was. They brought their own grills and cooked the food fresh, right on the site. It was THE MOST SPECTACULAR wedding meal I have ever had - fresh grilled and delicious!
