The officiant only came 20 minutes prior to the ceremony when asked to come at least 45 minutes early. She did not ask guest to rise for the entrance of the bride nor have them sit down in 90 degree weather after they stood up on their own. Officiant did not move out of the way for the kids when specifically asked to do so. She did not say now I pronounce you husband and wife or Mr.and Mrs. XXX. In consultation, I was informed the company would provide speakers and they did not. The company changed the officiant from the original one assigned to the couple. She was very inexperienced, timid voice presence and very unconfident. She made the guest dismissal announcement prior to the wedding party even going back up the aisle and the guest started standing up and exiting leaving the wedding party at the alter.Laura and Co Events's reply:
Hi there Shelby, there were many back and forth communications last minute with the arrival time. Your husband had agreed the 20 minute arrival time prior to the ceremony was ok. Your planner was not very communicative when I tried reaching out to her. Unfortunately we had to change the officiant last minute due to a sickness. However the officiant that was sent has done many weddings for us and we have never experienced any complaints. The script she read was provided by you and your husband not by us so whatever was missing at the end of the speech was not in the copy you provided us. Normally we create and edit the scripts on our own but you guys decided to create your own which is perfectly fine but we didnt create it so it's not our fault if something was missing.
I apologize for any misunderstanding you may have however we have our copies of our communication and the time of arrival was agreed on 20 min prior.
also we never provide speakers at all we have always used the Dj's speakers when needed and microphone. After reviewing the convos we have had I also did not see anywhere I told you that I would provide speakers that is not even in our contract.
I apologize for when you said she did not move for the kiss, I was not personally there so I cannot confirm or deny she was told to move, however I do know it was never mentioned to me.
