We cannot thank the team at LEK enough for executing the destination wedding of our dreams! Everything was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations in every way. I was very indecisive when it came to wedding details but Marie was incredibly patient and always managed to make me feel at ease after every email and phone call. I loved that LEK laid out the planning documents in a Google Drive, which streamlined and simplified the planning process. Marie went above and beyond to help us get the most out of our budget and yet still plan the event of a lifetime.
Having a destination wedding, we weren't able to meet the vendors beforehand, which made me nervous at first. But after our initial call with Marie, I knew we were in great hands. Everyone we worked with off LEK's list of preferred vendors was PHENOMENAL and I would highly recommend to anyone.
Marie and Ana were onsite the day of our wedding and everything went off without a hitch. They made my groom and I feel so relaxed. We just showed up and everything was taken care of. They even gave our bridal party their phone numbers in case any issues came up during the day! We have heard from many of our guests that it was the best wedding they've EVER been to. We owe that all to LEK and their stellar work. Coming from the queen of indecisiveness, working with LEK should be an easy decision for every Kauai bride! -
Alyssa Sent on 06/19/2018My husband's aunt, who lives on Kauai, referred us to Marie at Legacy Events after attending a beautiful wedding that she had planned. From the moment we first spoke with Marie over the phone, we instantly loved her and knew we wouldn't need to speak with any other wedding planners. Marie is so down to earth and easy to talk to, yet extremely organized & on top of things. She is clearly passionate about her work and cares deeply about helping couples make their wedding dreams a reality. Marie listened closely to each of our requests, provided guidance & advice when we needed it (which was often), calmed our nerves when we were stressed about our budget, and always worked with us to come to a solution. The day of our wedding, Marie & her colleague Ana were beyond amazing. They worked so hard to ensure that each & every moment went smoothly, and that my fiance & I were never stressed or worrying about anything. I can honestly say that everything was absolutely perfect and it truly was the happiest day of our lives. Marie & Ana- we cannot thank you enough!!! :)

User2591514 Sent on 04/28/2016One of the best decisions my husband and I made while planning our destination Kauai wedding was working with Marie at Legacy Events! We are writing this review almost two months after our big day, and we are still reminiscing about all of the details that Marie and Tiare helped bring to life. Thanks to their diligence, eye for detail, and organization, our wedding day was the most amazing, memorable, and beautiful day of our lives. We are so lucky that we had them in our corner, and I can truly say that I came away with two new friends in Kauai.
I really can't do Legacy Events justice in an online review. If you are lucky enough to be married in paradise, do yourself a favor and work with Marie and her team. It will be the best choice you make for your wedding...other than your choice in partner :) -
User1826320 Sent on 09/23/2014From the second we met on the phone, I knew that Marie would be our wedding planner. We had two main goals for our wedding- 1. To stick to our budget and 2. To give ourselves, family and friends an experience of a lifetime. Marie was on point with both of our goals. She didn’t make us feel super poor with our budget either and assured us that we could still have a nice wedding that was within our budget. This earned her huge brownie points because my husband was a little concerned that hiring a wedding planner meant inflating our budget (which, I’m sure is the case for some event planners). Marie made the planning process extremely easy and provided us with all the guidance we needed. When it came time for the rehearsal, she was very organized and had down every little detail we wanted. On the day of the wedding, everything went beautifully! All the vendors she recommended were really great and professional. Marie was really such a blessing and gave us and our guests beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

User1507127 Sent on 01/14/2014Marie is incredible. As a graduate student living far from Kauai, I didn't have a lot of time for planning- or additional stress. Marie was amazing from the start. She took time to learn our vision for our wedding. Things that were knew we wanted, she made happen. Things that we didn't have a strong opinion about, she gave us options and recommendations, all of which turned out perfectly. We rented a private home for our reception, and the landlord proved to be very difficult. Marie handled all of the discussions with him, so we wouldn't have to worry or deal with it. We chose to get married on a secluded beach with difficult parking situations, but with her expertise and knowledge of the area it went off without a hitch. I found out after the wedding of a few scenarios (like beach goers that sat right behind our wedding group, right before I walked down the aisle). Marie handled all of these situations without my having to get involved (or even know). Several friends and family commented on my relaxed demeanor leading up to, and on, our wedding day. I was able to be so relaxed and not worry since I knew Marie had it all handled. She is amazing to work with. I would recommend her to anyone getting married in Kauai!
