User2667849 Sent on 06/29/2016Ripken Stadium was a wonderful place to have our wedding reception. We didn't have our ceremony here, only our reception. The food was delicious, the employees were friendly, the value was great. We got lots of compliments on the food and on how cool it was to have our reception there.
The only thing that I can think of that I can complain about is the early last call. It wasn't when we were told that it was going to be but that aside it was a great night! -
User2584904 Sent on 04/22/2016I don't even know were to begin! I absolutely loved my wedding at Ripken. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the venue is gorgeous! Claire was our coordinator and she was a saint! She quickly responded to my emails and had everything figured out for us. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met!
We had over 200 people at our wedding. Sometimes food made for that number of people is not always the best. That was not so with Ripken. It was delicious! (Even though we ate hours after everyone else because we got caught up and forgot to eat. Claire saved us plates of food so that we could eat whenever we wanted.... that's one of the reasons why she is a saint!) Many guests told us how much they loved the food! That was great to hear!
I highly suggest Ripken as a ceremony and reception venue! They are very professional and accommodating!
Note: If you would like to reserve rooms across the street at the hotel, do so at least a year in advance. They fill up very quickly. We ended up getting rooms at the Hilton and Holiday Inn Express across 95 and shuttled people over. It worked out well! -

Jennifer Sent on 01/20/2009My wedding reception at Ripken Stadium was great. Karen Zoda, my event coordinator, worked with me to get the timing right, food choices (even had a tasting!), drinks, etc. When we wanted to push the reception back a half hour, she worked with us even though there was another event happening in the adjoining room.
Ripken is a great place to have a celebration like a wedding reception. The atmosphere is unique and there are multiple places that you can have your reception (ours was in one of the boxes - first base side). There was even a rec baseball game going on when we got there, which kind of gave it a different feel (the reception was 3:30 in the afternoon).
Karen was there for the whole event to make sure everything went off without a hitch, and even packed up all the gifts, cards, pictures, cake utensils, etc for us to just put in the car at the end of the evening.
Everyone had a great time and said it was one of the better wedding receptions they had been to because they had so much fun...what better place to have fun than a baseball stadium??? -
User1214082 Sent on 06/24/2013We had the wedding of our dreams at Ripken Stadium!! Our coordinator, Liz, was very sweet and helpful. Everything went so smoothly the day of the wedding, food was great and the Ripken employees were amazing. We were very pleased and so were our guests!! -

Sarah Sent on 07/23/2012Our wedding at Ripken Stadium was absolutely perfect. We were able to be married on the field at home plate (my husband's dream) while all of our guests sat in the stands. All of our guests commented on how unique and beautiful the venue was. The reception area, which is the club level inside, is huge. It easily accommodated our 140 guests, dance, floor, cocktail hour, photobooth, cornhole, and candy buffet! Everyone had an amazing time.
The reason our wedding was truly amazing though was the event coordinator, Liz. She was so helpful, cheerful, and accommodating. They had just recently started a contract with a new caterer and it was rough to work with them. Liz stepped in and acted as the middle man and made sure everything went smoothly and with as little headache as possible. She met with us various times and was always available via phone or email. The night before the wedding she helped us set everything up and made sure everything was perfect. The day of the wedding she came in extra early so we could get ready there and continued to check on us and make sure we were okay. She made sure the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. She was really, really amazing.
If you are looking for a fun, unique venue with an amazing coordinator, Ripken Stadium is an excellent choice! -

User2923673 Sent on 12/22/2016I have very mixed feelings on our venue.
Negatives:
I was not happy we had to set up & break down the area on our own. It was pretty stressful having to do this on our own.
We had be promised "snacks" in the rooms while we had been getting ready, but we got NOTHING. I (the bride) had to track down someone for a few bottles of water.
The bathrooms in our rooms (we had to get ready in) didn't have running water, no bathrooms. We had to use the bathrooms across the club levels. Guests saw me before the wedding bc I had to use the bathroom.
I was left w/o plates while cutting the cake. No one could find someone to help us. Our poor DJ was waiting on the staff for plates for the cake cutting, and no one came. I ended up having to put it in my hand and my husbands hand. Pretty sad when you spend a lot of money.
The bar? We had open beer and wine, and was told guests could have other bar drinks if they paid (cash bar). We didn't want to pay for anything but beer and wine. Our guests had to wait for the liquor to be brought up to the bar and then something about a bank account to serve. It was a mess!
We had been told the field area would be available for photos, and never told the field and the area would be UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! A Lot of our photos required a lot of photo editing to edit out the construction materials in the background.
We had been told our names would be on the score board, then told it would be $5,000.
