  Photographer and wedding day wrangler.

  Marie was an indispensable component of our wedding day and planning. As a vendor, she was responsive and punctual. As a photographer, she was creative and fun yet directive. As a day of coordinator, she kept worries at bay for us. As a person, she has become a welcome friend. Her photos of our engagement, wedding, and family will bring us joy forever. We look forward to using her for every life step. She really shined in shorting our fall Door County in which she captured breathtaking fall shots.

  Fun amd comfortable

  Tyler has been a great contact for establishing my oct 2019 wedding! He met late one evening to go over my 100 questions I had. He was fun, comfortable, yet professional. I'm looking forward to my day even more now that I know I have the reception spot of my dreams.

  Wedding Coordination

  Marie was absolutely amazing to work with!! We used her for wedding coordination/day of services and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly that day. She met with us multiple times to ease our minds and make sure we were on track, had some great vendor suggestions and ideas, was super accessible throughout, and most importantly was just kind, fun, and super easy to work with! The weekend of the wedding both her and her team did more than we could have asked for, and we can honestly say the day would not have run as smoothly without her. She truly went above and beyond, and thought of little things we never would have thought of. Everyone who interacted with her had so many compliments about her and her team. She even thought of activities to keep the young ones entertained! We only have great things to say about her. Thank you again for helping make all of our wedding visions a reality!!

  Please hire her!

  I cannot say enough great things about our wedding photographer, Marie. She helped me so much with my wedding timeline, came up with photo ideas/poses on her own that were amazing, and was so much fun to work with. We used her for our engagement photos and everyone we showed complimented us on how great they turned out! I knew that we would be in great hands for our wedding photos, I cannot wait to see them!

  Highly Recommended!!

  Marie is amazing!! She did a wonderful job on our engagement/family session. She was able to get my now stepson, who doesn't like his picture being taken, to have a genuine smile and laughing the whole time!!! She made a great connection right away with him and the girls and they could not stop laughing. Our wedding pictures are gorgeous also!!! She does a great job at using the lighting in the room and natural lighting to get the best shots. We will have her photograph our reception this Spring because we love her so much and the kids did too!! That was a big point for us, the kids asked us, "When is she taking our pictures again?!" I highly recommend Marie at Wild Elegance at anytime to anyone and everyone!!

  I would highly recommend Marie! We met her at the wedding show in 2017 and instantly knew that we wanted her to be our photographer for our winter wedding! She’s amazing to work with, very knowledgeable, her work is stunning and most importantly we felt comfortable working with her. In my opinion, your photographer, is your most important decision. We are beyond happy with our decision! We received a sneak peak and I’m in LOVE with them, we can’t wait to see the remaining album! Don’t pass her up, you’ll want her taking your engagement and wedding pictures!!!!

  Marie was incredible. Not only did she capture beautiful pictures and memories that we will treasure forever, but she was calm, professional, and offered so much advice, wisdom, and help!   We recently took our engagement pictures with Marie. She was very flexible when planning our session and listened to what we wanted out of it. She was fun and easy to work with! She helped us with poses and it was easy to be ourselves around her! We loved all of our pictures and got them back in under two weeks! We cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding photographs!

She stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process, did beautiful engagement pictures as part of our package and basically ran the show for me on the day of. She coordinated people, timelines, made sure I had whatever I needed and got the most incredible wedding shots I've ever seen. Do not hesitate if you are thinking of hiring her!

  Truly amazing time

  We had hired Marie for our small wedding. She worked with us on everything. She is experienced and knows the area well. I broke my ankle a few months before the wedding and was afraid to walk on uneven ground. She knew the best spots that would keep me safe and adjusted accordingly. Her compassion was worth every cent. She is just an amazing person and you will want to be her friend for years after. My pictures were really great. I’m so happy she came recommended. You will love her

  We loved having Marie photograph our wedding.   Marie is creative, innovative, and thorough. She is serious about meeting the expectations of each of her clients all while making them laugh and enjoy sessions with her. She's a lover of nature, has an eye for lighting, and does her location homework. When my husband and I talk about our wedding day, the best part hands down was the process of capturing it with Marie.

  My husband and I loved having Lightly Gypsy as our wedding photographer. Marie was very easy and fun to work with. She is very organized and helped our day run smoothly. My now husband was very worried about going with someone who we hadn’t work with before but after 5 minutes of meeting her we both knew we loved her. She was very professional, she connected immediately with us. We also knew after those 5 minutes of meeting her and seeing some of her work we wanted her to capture one of the biggest days of our lives.
  
  She arrived to our big day early and ready to hit the pavement. She blended in so nicely that you completely forget she was there. She captured so many amazing pictures that we feel in love with simply our sneak peak. Her prices were affordable but yet high end quality. She delivered when she said she would. My over all experience with Marie is beyond amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. We can’t wait to have kids so she can capture our family as it grows.   Marie made sure to capture all those special moments! She developed relationships with several people at my wedding who fell in love with her work and have decided to used her. She makes the experience fun and will deliver your photos in a timely manner.

  Vendor expectations didn't mean results

  Pros:
  - Marie was very friendly and worked with us through various challenges that inevitably come up when planning/executing a wedding.
  
  - The price was very reasonable, especially when compared to other photographers.
  
  - Weather prevented us from doing sunset photos on the day, so she was gracious enough to work with us to schedule another time to take them
  
  Cons:
  
  - Photo's were of varying quality, but mostly of low quality. Don't be fooled by the cream of the crop of photos that are on her website. Here's a brief synopsis of some issues we ran into (though this is not an extensive list): Blurry photos (individuals were blurry but the trees behind them were crystal clear), individuals were cut out of frame , numerous photos of people with their eyes closed (we requested alternative photos, but were told that they were none available ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), there were several photos of the reception that were washed out. Honestly, I could go on, but I feel like some of the photos could have been taken with a smart phone and been of a better quality
  
  - Instructions were not adhered to. We were told to provide the photographer with a list of requested shots of different combinations of family members. After spending a great deal of time coming up with this list maybe 10% of what we provided was actually shot. This one is a real head scratcher. We were more than happy to provide her with the list, but if she was just going to blow it off, what's the point.
  
  - Always in a rush. This is a one person operation, so some rushing is to be expected, but considering we got almost none of the shots we requested, it would have been nice to slow things down a bit.
  
  - Communication was insufficient. Once the wedding was over, we felt that timelines were not adhered to. When we had a question, we would receive a time frame of when we would have an answer which was never met. Generally it would take multiple followups before receiving a response. I get that it's a small operation, but it didn't fill us with confidence that we tended to get excuses for lateness and only after we followed up.
  
  - The bride was inundated during the reception to the point that it created a lot of anxiety. We had hired a wedding day coordinator that was supposed to be the point person, but inevitably she went to the bride. Granted, part of this is the day of coordinator not fully embracing her role, but still this was one of several disappointments.
  
  In the end, she got a 2 out of 5 because the cons really out weighed the pros. It felt like prior to signing the contract we were a priority, but what we were told didn't match the results on the day. And as things went on it felt more and more like we were a nuisance rather than a valued customer. Generally I don't like to leave reviews like this, but hopefully she will take this to heart and make some changes, or I can help someone else not have a similar experience.

  - Photo's were of varying quality, but mostly of low quality. Don't be fooled by the cream of the crop of photos that are on her website. Here's a brief synopsis of some issues we ran into (though this is not an extensive list): Blurry photos (individuals were blurry but the trees behind them were crystal clear), individuals were cut out of frame , numerous photos of people with their eyes closed (we requested alternative photos, but were told that they were none available ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), there were several photos of the reception that were washed out. Honestly, I could go on, but I feel like some of the photos could have been taken with a smart phone and been of a better quality
  
  - Instructions were not adhered to. We were told to provide the photographer with a list of requested shots of different combinations of family members. After spending a great deal of time coming up with this list maybe 10% of what we provided was actually shot. This one is a real head scratcher. We were more than happy to provide her with the list, but if she was just going to blow it off, what's the point.
  
  - Always in a rush. This is a one person operation, so some rushing is to be expected, but considering we got almost none of the shots we requested, it would have been nice to slow things down a bit.
  
  - Communication was insufficient. Once the wedding was over, we felt that timelines were not adhered to. When we had a question, we would receive a time frame of when we would have an answer which was never met. Generally it would take multiple followups before receiving a response. I get that it's a small operation, but it didn't fill us with confidence that we tended to get excuses for lateness and only after we followed up.
  
  - The bride was inundated during the reception to the point that it created a lot of anxiety. We had hired a wedding day coordinator that was supposed to be the point person, but inevitably she went to the bride. Granted, part of this is the day of coordinator not fully embracing her role, but still this was one of several disappointments.
  
  In the end, she got a 2 out of 5 because the cons really out weighed the pros. It felt like prior to signing the contract we were a priority, but what we were told didn't match the results on the day. And as things went on it felt more and more like we were a nuisance rather than a valued customer. Generally I don't like to leave reviews like this, but hopefully she will take this to heart and make some changes, or I can help someone else not have a similar experience.
