Best Decision Ever!
Lindsay is unbelievable. Photography was at the top of our priority list, and choosing Lindsay was hands down the best decision we made. My husband and I feel so lucky that we were able to have her on our wedding day. Her talent for capturing genuine moments of connection and romantic candids is unmatched. Lindsay has a gift for working with light and movement that brought our photos to life in the most stunning way. Beyond her talent behind the lens, Lindsay is one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. She brings such a calming, positive, comfortable presence to every moment, which was a godsend for us on our wedding day. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed, allowing us to be ourselves in front of the camera. Our wedding photos are beyond anything we could have imagined. Lindsay captured the most special moments with such authenticity and emotion, especially those featuring our family members and grandparents, which we'll cherish forever. Beyond happy with our photos!
I've been a fan of Lindsay Hackney's work for years, so when it came time to choose a wedding photographer, there was no question in my mind—she was the one. I've admired her talent long before I even met my now-husband! Our engagement shoot with Lindsay was truly perfect. Despite the challenge of our hyperactive dog lol and shooting at two different locations the photos came out gorgeous!
On our wedding day, Lindsays assistant Kendra went above and beyond to ensure we got the perfect shots. It rained all day and I know how much weather can affect lighting and photo conditions however, Kendra knocked it out of the park. Despite the weather, our photos turned out absolutely outstanding. Lindsay's editing style beautifully captured the vibe of our day, blending classic moments with candid snapshots that perfectly encapsulated the day.
So many great moments captured throughout the day it was awesome to relive it through all of the photos! My friends had told me of a hilarious moment when one of our guests discovered her dress matched the napkins perfectly and announced it to the table, resulting in a burst of laughter and I just about DIED to see the moment was caught on camera! If you're searching for a wedding photographer who not only captures stunning images but also understands the unique dynamics of your day, look no further than Lindsay Hackney Photography. Her and her team’s talent, professionalism, make them truly stand out in the world of wedding photography. Not to mention all of our guests raved about how friendly and kind the team was! Just wow. Lindsay is incredible. Absolutely don't hesitate in hiring her. She did our engagement photos and wedding photos. She made it so much fun for us. She is directive, funny and quick--- we didn't need to spend all day taking photos--- She got great pictures fast and limited how much time we needed to spend doing staged photos. We wanted more candid photos which she is fantastic at. We love every single photo. Thank you! -

We got married in June 2022 in Bristol, RI and had the ABSOLUTE PLEASURE of having Lindsay and her husband Tim as our wedding photographers. We first connected with Lindsay in winter of 2020 and immediately knew she was the photographer for us - not only is she extremely talented (her incredible work speaks for itself!!!!) but she has the most calming, positive presence which was something we 100% needed for our wedding day. We were also lucky enough to have Lindsay take our engagement pictures - meeting in person and getting to know each other before the wedding was so crucial and further confirmed that we made the perfect choice to have Lindsay as our photographer. She made us feel comfortable right away and when the wedding day came it was like we got to see an old friend!!! After explaining to Lindsay our unique family dynamic, she understood immediately and reassured us that she would take the lead on our wedding day and boy did she EVER!!! We were (and are) so grateful to have had her and Tim by our side all day - Tim in particular made the groomsmen feel comfortable in front of the camera while they were getting ready (which is no easy feat...) and coordinated getting the groom to the first look spot right on time (also no easy feat...). Don't hesitate and book Lindsay ASAP - you will not regret it!!! Best people to work with, best pictures, and the best day all thanks to the Hackneys! -

The BEST Wedding Photographer
The first moment I saw Lindsay’s work, I knew she was the one. She was the very first vendor we booked for our wedding. From the beginning of our engagement photo shoot, she made us feel so comfortable. I truly didn’t think the pictures could get any better. But then came the wedding. My husband Eddy and I got married in May in Boston, MA at The Park Plaza. Lindsay absolutely blew us away. She is professional, creative, and kind. She was there every step of the way throughout the entire wedding process from meeting up to discuss the vision, to follow up calls. During the wedding, she brought me a sense of calmness. I don’t think I could have done it without her! She truly made me feel like an absolute queen. And the pictures….I mean they are truly perfect. She understood the vision completely. Months later, we are still in awe of Lindsay’s work. We will cherish these pictures for years to come, and we can’t wait to work with Lindsay and her team again in the future!! -

This review won’t ever be enough to match our gratitude for Lindsay and her husband Tim! I was taken with their understated, elegant photography style from the start and photography was a top priority for me. Yet their capture of our day still beyond surpassed expectations, from their skillful use of lighting to the homework they did on our venue.
also seamlessly blended in with our friends and family, helping everyone have a fun, memorable experience. My husband and his friends nearly made Tim an honorary groomsman with how well he fits in on the day, while Lindsay acted as a wedding sidekick and co-planner, helping everything go off without a hitch given she has seen it all!
Additionally, navigating a wedding through a pandemic, Lindsay was gracious and flexible, communicating with the utmost professionalism amidst things no one could have expected, certainly not small business owners.
150% recommend working with this elegant, down-to-earth, talent team. -

Well worth the splurge
When looking for a wedding photographer, I knew Lindsay Hackney Photography was my perfect fit when every photograph I admired on Instagram turned out to be hers. Hiring Lindsay was a bit of a splurge for our wedding budget, but it was an excellent decision and well worth it. Her photographs are absolutely stunning, deeply romantic and artistic and incredibly personal. She is also one of the kindest and easiest to get along with vendors that I hired, and she put everyone at ease while photographing. I had the pleasure of working with her for our engagement photo session, our small pandemic wedding ceremony, and finally our big day, and in each case she delivered photographs that will be indispensable keepsakes for our family. I'm so glad we decided to work with Lindsay and I truly hope to work with her again in the future. -

We were blown away by Lindsay. Photography was one of the highest priorities for our wedding. Before meeting Lindsay and Tim, their photos spoke for themselves. Upon meeting them, we found them professional, friendly, calm, and fun to work with. They did their homework, worked with us in advance, prepared for the lighting of our particular venue, and were communicative and appreciative of our other vendors. On the day of the wedding, they created a light, fun, and organized atmosphere, kept a low profile all day long while documenting all aspects of the event, and ultimately made a set of incredibly artful photographs that captured the spirit, emotion, and energy of our wedding day. We couldn’t be happier -we highly recommend having them on your wedding team! -

When we started this whole wedding process in the summer of 2019 we thought we had plenty of time. Our wedding wasn't until October of 2020. It was difficult to find a photographer...to say the least! We knew the photographer would need to be one of the first vendors to hire knowing they get booked so early on in the planning and they need to be the RIGHT photographer, not just any photographer. Through referrals we found Lindsday. And we are so lucky to have had Lindsay as our photographer!
From the very beginning she was communicative and personable, kind and good-hearted, literally the sweetest person. We immediately set up our engagement photo shoot and she was super flexible with whatever availability she had, coordinating with our schedule and working with us from so far away. She got our photos back to us within a month and we were so happy with them. She made us look amazing, of course! We felt so comfortable with her by the end of the session it helped us to think about having her all around us on the wedding day and not being as self-conscious with cameras on us for the wedding.
We then focused on the big day ahead. Lindsay gave us so much insight in planning out the timeline of our day and working with how that best suited our vision for the day. She was THE complete resource on how to alleviate the stresses, solve any obstacles that would pop up, drive the schedule of the day, etc person for us. I imagine she is that way with all of her couples, but we definitely needed it. My fiance and I are project managers in the construction industry in NYC so planning is just natural for us...and used to managing high stress plans and logistics so the idea of letting that go and enjoying ourselves for just this day was a foreign concept to us but the key was hiring the right vendor for such a monumental day that made all the difference.
On the day of Lindsay was professional and focused. Being 8 months pregnant she pulled some pretty impressive moves during our Photo Expedition! She was able to coral our family members like no other; keeping as close to our timeline as possible. She suggested swooping us away before joining our guests for cocktails to get those perfect sunset photos. We were not disappointed. We received our photos a few weeks ago and have been going through the gallery over and over. We love them. They are really well organized and soooooo romantic. We can relive the day everytime we look through them. The difficulty will be in choosing a limited number of photos for our album! Lindsay, everything came out amazing, we can't thank you enough! -

Look no further!
If you are reading this review on Lindsay’s page, stop searching immediately, and start praying that she is available on your date! She did our engagement shoot AND our wedding, and we’ll be back for more in the future. We knew that when we chose her as our photographer, it would be one of the best decisions we would make for our day, but we couldn't have truly known how amazing our experience with her AND our photos would be. The photos themselves are absolutely stunning. If you haven’t yet checked out her Instagram, do it! As if that’s not reason enough to choose Lindsay, the experience itself was a blast. Lindsay made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which was something my wife and I BOTH were worried about. Instead, her calming presence and great sense of humor helped us to instantly relax and actually have fun. For our wedding planning during COVID, she remained completely flexible, managing the twists and turns with total grace. In fact, she was the one keeping US calm and optimistic. Not to mention she was amazingly good natured with our friends/family who had oh so many suggestions for our wedding photos! Unsurprisingly, all of our vendors, most of whom already knew and admired Lindsay, were thrilled to know that they would have the chance to work with her, and everyone was singing her praises again at the end of our event too. In case it’s not yet clear, we absolutely cannot recommend Lindsay enough!!! -

Changes due to Covid meant that Lindsay was no longer able to travel to photograph our wedding this year, BUT Lindsay took our engagement photos and she is in every sense of the word AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING. She is a joy to be around and a total artist. Her presence is calming, sweet, and joyful. And look at these!!! You can't go wrong. -

I can’t recommend Lindsay Hackney enough. From our first conversation, we knew Lindsay was our photographer. We had searched through countless portfolio’s and Lindsdays photos were consistent, felt natural, and her colors were beautiful (and perfect for our fall wedding!). As a VERY organized person, I appreciated how organized Lindsay was. Her planning docs helped put us at ease that she knew what she was doing. On the day of the wedding she helped keep us on track by making sure our other vendors were watching the time. We flew through family photos, because she knew how to wrangle 20 people and get multiple photos lined up at the same time. The kids were actually looking at the camera - which is a small miracle. We loved Lindsay’s upbeat and can-do attitude. Our photos were exactly what we wanted, and beautifully captured our wedding day. -

As a wedding photographer myself, I had very high expectations out of the person who photographed my own wedding. I researched photographers all over the country, but ended up right back in New England reaching out to Lindsay! She is not only one of the most kindhearted people I know, but she excels at what she does in so many ways.
Lindsay provided us with so much assistance on how to best approach our experience with her, even helping my husband pick out his outfit for the day! She helped with timeline planning, choosing vendors, and coordinating colors. Hiring Lindsay is like hiring a friend that you can bounce ideas off, seek insight from, and talk Big Brother strategy with, all while she keeps a calm, organized, and gentle demeanor that makes her such a professional.
Our elopement was short and sweet, but in that time, Lindsay captured so many moments that I didn't even realize were happening, but now I have them printed to keep forever. There's really nothing better than having someone there with you on your best day that you know you can entrust with such precious memories. I can't thank Lindsay enough for everything she's done for us, and I'm very excited to work with her again in the future. -

We can't say enough great words about Lindsay! From the moment we had our first call with her, we knew we wanted her to be a big part of our wedding day. Lindsay was very communicative throughout the whole planning process and was always there to help answer our questions no matter how big or small! We are so happy we got to do a pre-session with her before the big day because it truly made us feel at ease and ready to go for the wedding day! Lindsay and Carolina were there with us on our wedding day photographing every element of our wonderful day and we could not be more happy with the quality of photos they delivered to us. My husband and I both have creative backgrounds and we were thrilled to see all of our handmade details Lindsay captured from around the venue on the wedding day. We opted out of having a videographer because photos are more meaningful to us and we could not be more happy with our decision to have Lindsay capture our wedding day for us - we truly have the most beautiful images to hold onto for a lifetime. We highly recommend Lindsay for all future brides and grooms - she is simply a dream to work with! -

She captured our wedding in such a beautiful and unique way and we honestly couldn't be happier. She's flexible and energetic, and such a sweet person. We are SO happy we found her on Instagram. Her packages are very reasonable and worth so much more than the monetary investment anyways. We highly recommend Lindsay to every couple looking for a wedding photographer!
