  Lisa is the best!

  From our engagement shoot to our wedding day and all of the planning in between, Lisa was fantastic and a true pleasure to work with. My husband and I were a little nervous to have professional photos taken, but Lisa made us feel so comfortable and at ease right from the start. Our engagement session was the perfect “practice round” for our big day and really solidified that Lisa was THE match for us. There was nothing forced, awkward, or cheesy about our session and we were blown away by her talent. Lisa made wedding day planning incredibly easy. She was easy to communicate with and always responded to our questions in a timely fashion. Her professionalism and experience was a guiding light on our wedding day. In addition to our bride and groom photos, we had a lot of different arrangements of family photos to take and Lisa made it ALL happen. It was a cold December day, but she worked her magic and made sure we weren’t outside too long for photos. Everyone appreciated her efficiency! The rest of the day and night was truly perfect. Lisa captured so many wonderful moments from our special day. We felt so at ease and didn’t even notice she was taking our pictures! Lisa had a sneak peek ready the next day and our full gallery was ready within a few short weeks. Her work is truly stunning. We are so pleased and can’t recommend Lisa enough. She is the best of the best!

  Above and beyond!

  Lisa is amazing! Her photos are gorgeous and she is such a pleasure to work with! She was with me for my whole wedding day and feels like a friend now! Lisa is very organized and did a great job helping us figure out our photo timeline so we could get all the important wedding photos and make sure family and friends were at the right place at the right time to be in them. She had wonderful ideas on places to take photos but also listened to what we wanted and didn’t push us if we had a different idea. She’s also really great at making photos fun and fast for those who aren’t into it (like my now husband who typically doesn’t enjoy having his photo taken but even said Lisa is the exception to that). Lisa also went above and beyond and helped with anything we needed her to - like my complicated bustle (!) or working with the MC to make sure the reception kept flowing. She was also great at getting candid photos without being obtrusive. She also gave us a gorgeous online preview online the day after our wedding (!!). While we aren’t local I hope we can have Lisa take future family photos for us when we’re in the area! I’m so impressed with her work, her professionalism and fun personality, and I’m so very glad we found her!

  The best photographer!

  Lisa and her second shooter were absolutely fantastic photographers on our wedding day. We loved our photos, which captured the essence of the day perfectly. She’s also a seasoned professional who knows how to manage large groups to keep things moving on time. And she brings unmatched energy, which is contagious to everyone around her. Not only did she make us feel like a million bucks, but so did our friends and family!

  Lisa will be the MVP of your day!

  I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. She was supportive, insightful, and flexible throughout the craziness that is planning a wedding. (During a pandemic, no less!) Lisa's experience and organization made it easy to plan for and take family photos, wedding party photos, etc. on our wedding day... and her energy and sense of humor made it fun for everyone involved. My family and friends are officially part of the Lisa Gilbert fan club, as are we! We are delighted with how the photos turned out; Lisa did a phenomenal job of capturing our day. If you are still looking for a photographer, look no further. Lisa will be the MVP of your day!

  The Absolute Best

  Lisa is an absolute pro. Her outgoing and sparkly personality brought the very best out of our family, our friends, and our other vendors. My wife doesn’t love having photos taken but has decided that Lisa is the only exception. We’ve loved every experience with her. She’s been so kind and flexible through multiple pandemic related changes and has gone out of her way to make us feel special and important.
  
  Lisa showed up for our wedding as part photographer, part wedding coordinator, and part dear friend that we were so glad to see. She just has a way of making sure everyone is running on time and got beautiful photos of the whole day. We’re so in love with our photos that they’re literally on every wall of our home at this point- and we’re not sorry about it at all! I can’t recommend Lisa enough!

  Winter wedding

  Lisa was amazing! Her pictures are beautiful and she is so fun to work with. She loves what she does and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. Being uncomfortable in front of a camera, we were blown away when we saw the pictures from our wedding! They were absolutely stunning!

  Amazing doesn't even describe working with Lisa! From our first conversation with her on the phone, we knew she was the photographer for us and we booked her immediately. And it was by far the best decision we made for our wedding.
  
  We planned our wedding from 1800 miles away, so working with vendors who were flexible with our schedule and comfortable planning from a distance was crucial. Lisa responded to all of our emails promptly and worked with us to schedule an in-person meeting three weeks before our big day to go over all the details. During our meeting with talked about every detail about the wedding, we looked at our engagement pictures that were taken by someone else and discussed photos that we have loved from other weddings that we've been to. We went through every grouping for each photo that was important to us and started to map out the timeline for our wedding day. I left our meeting feeling like I had made a friend, Lisa made me feel so excited for our wedding day!
  
  Lisa went above and beyond what was expected when she spent a day on the Cape the week before our wedding scouting out our ceremony and reception locations and finding places we could stop along the way to take pictures. She sent us ideas and locations that she thought would be ideal for our wedding pictures, and she 100% nailed it. She sent us a detailed timeline of our wedding day and had everything figured out so our day would run seamlessly all while capturing every photo and every moment that we wanted.
  
  Lisa works absolute magic behind her camera, she makes everyone feel comfortable and brings out the best in everyone. She is incredible to work with and by far the best decision we made for our wedding. We have timeless and classic photos from our wedding day that we will have forever.   Quick story about how much we love Lisa....
  
  Engagement:
  I was a typical guy about to propose to his girlfriend, nervous and excited at the same time! I do not know any local photographers, so I went online and through a few searches I was lucky enough to be put in touch with Lisa *Last minute of course - week of engagement*
  
  Lisa was so easy to speak to on the phone and we texted back and forth a bunch to nail down the final details. In the end it couldn't have gone any smoother. As I proposed, we were on the back of my boat floating around Boston Harbor, and Lisa was there on docks, with a long zoom lens to capture some amazing photos that we will cherish forever. We then cruised the Harbor doing a "just engaged" shoot and hanging out with Lisa was like being with a long time friend.
  
  Now the crazy part..
  
  Our Wedding:
  We got married on Nantucket, on Saturday September 23 as Hurricane Jose was roaring through the islands! All flights were canceled, all ferry services were canceled, and the night before our wedding on Nantucket, we were stranded on Martha's Vineyard in a failed attempted to tackle the high seas of Nantucket Sound.
  
  We were anxious to say the least, and the entire time Lisa was in constant contact with me as we planned plan A, plan B, and plan C on how she was going to make it to the island in time for the wedding.
  
  One thing that brought us piece of mind, Lisa promised me during all the chaos, that she would swim to Nantucket if she had to, and promised to make the wedding no matter what nature threw at us.
  
  So, long story short, my wife and I love Lisa and have such an appreciation for how amazing she is and how perfect our wedding photos came out.
  
  Lisa - we couldn't pulled it off that day without you - and for that we are forever grateful!

  Lisa is fantastic!! She photographed our "surprise engagement" and our wedding!
  
  My husband and I had a slightly stressful experience leading up to our wedding. We were planned to be married on a Saturday on Nantucket with a tropical storm looming over us. Flights and ferries were canceled Tuesday-Friday and we were not sure our wedding was going to happen. Lisa stayed in constant contact with us throughout the whole week! She was by far our most accommodating and upbeat vendor of our experience!
  
  On Saturday ferries started running and flights resumed. She was the FIRST person I heard from that day to let me know that she was on her way and ferries had resumed! At our wedding, there was a bit of chaos as we rushed to get things running on time! Lisa jumped in and took charge and kept things running smoothly. She also got AMAZING photographs of guests arriving and captured the emotions of the week and the relief of guests as they arrived at the docks! I felt like I had a photographer/day of event coordinator! My whole family was blown away by her professionalism, organization and outgoing personality!
  
  Lisa was able to get amazing family, bridal, bride/groom photos and we didn't have to spend hours taking them! Lisa truly captures the emotion, excitement and moments of the day. She makes you feel at ease and it felt more like a long time friend was taking our photographs and not someone whom we had only met recently.
  
  As happy as I am to write her a GLOWING review and HIGHLY recommend her to all.. I am hoping she doesn't get too booked up as I plan to call her first for ANY future photographer needs! :-)

As someone who doesn't enjoy being in the limelight, she did an incredible job making sure we were comfortable and at ease throughout both the engagement shoot and day-of. Her approach to the entire process is completely customized by the couple and flexibility is her strong suit. She never once forced a stuffy, cheesy or cliche moment on us. She did a great job balancing the need-to-get-shot with the need-to-blend-into-the-background-so-you-can-enjoy-the-moment. We cherish all of our photos as they truly captured us as a couple and our experiences at our wedding. Highly, highly recommended.

  Lisa was amazing!!! She was worth the extra money...photos are one of the few things that last longer than one day for a wedding, so I think they are worth the investment
