    Loudoun County’s Hidden Pearl!

Everything about this property is a long lost dream come true. This historic home and enchanting garden have the perfect combination of romance and longevity to host a wedding out of a fairytale. The manor and the cottage are exactly what you would hope to find in an old Virginian home with elegance and coziness to embrace your loved ones and set the tone for your wedding weekend. And the gardens… once you’ve seen them in person, you will find yourself wandering them in your dreams. This English, paradisal, and Italian boxwood garden are full of stunning surprises and vignettes for all the family, wedding party, and couple portraits you can imagine. Kim, thank you for letting us enjoy your gorgeous property all weekend. It was an absolute delight to work with you. And I am truly honored to have my family’s history be forever intertwined with this hidden treasure in Loudoun County.

    Fairy Tales Do Come True

Our original venue fell through. My daughter had already hired a caterer, made a non-refundable deposit on a tent, and asked guests to save their wedding date. We contacted 31 potential venues in Northern Virginia and Little Oatlands was the only one who actually addressed our questions (instead of overselling us on their amenities). From ease of communication to seeing the beauty of the manor and grounds, we knew we had found the perfect place!

The historical tour of the 1800's manor and cottage was delightful. The verdant meadows and rolling hills were a feast to the eyes. It was easy to envision my daughter's dream of an outdoor wedding because we were surrounded by such loveliness. However, it was walking into the majestic garden that took our breath away. Standing under the canopy of trees, strolling between rows of beguiling flowers and statues, we knew we were on hallowed ground. You will be hard pressed to find a prettier sight... or a better venue. Fairy tales do happen at Little Oatlands.

Magical grounds and gardens, timeless property makes for a wedding to remember

Little Oatlands was the perfect location for our wedding last September. Most special features for us were the 360 degree views of rolling countryside, the formal secret garden where we held our ceremony with its hedges, gazebo and tree-lined aisle, and the ability to comfortably host our closest friends and family with us all weekend in the main house and cottage. Our guests were kept entertained by the pool and tennis courts, and exploring Oatlands Historic House and Gardens (just down the road) and nearby vineyards and breweries. It was the perfect late-summer celebration and long weekend, and we'll never forget it.

    Ultimate Farm Wedding

We got married at Little Oatlands over Labor Day in 2018. Because it belongs to my family, I grew up visiting on weekends and holidays. But Little Oatlands has never seemed so perfect a setting as it did that late summer weekend two years ago.

About 20 of our closest friends stayed on the property's two houses, and our families stayed just down the late at Oatlands Hamlet. On Friday night, we had our rehearsal dinner outside as the sun set over the rolling Shenandoahs and a local bluegrass singer plucked strings in the background. Our ceremony was held on Saturday, on the steps of the old gazebo under the Cedars in the formal garden.
