  Silke and her team did all my flowers for my August 14, 2010 wedding at the Meadow Club in Fairfax. I went with Local Flora after meeting Silke. She had lots of ideas and her prices were fair. I liked how they set up the contract. Everything was in writing which reassured me that things would be as we planned on the wedding day. My favorite were the amazing elegant green balls for my ceremony and I loved that without asking they added an accent from my grooms boutonnière to my bouquet which was very fun. I also stopped by the shop a few times and Meredith and Sam were also incredibly helpful.

  Silke at Local Flora was absolutely wonderful at helping turn our very basic visions into great works of art! She designed beautiful floral arrangements for all of our bouquets, centerpieces, etc.
  
  We did end up spending a bit more than we would have liked on flowers, but you also get what you pay for. Local Flora made it very simple and I didn't have to worry about a thing.
  
  An added plus - they work with local flower companies so you are supporting your local economy.
  
  I would highly recommend them to anyone!

  I have nothing but good things to say about Local Flora. Silke and her team was able to design our wedding vision to a T without ever meeting us in person and only dealing with us on the phone.
  
  The execution was a wonderful combination simple yet warm. And she even found peonies in January.

  Local Flora is attentive to detail, eco-conscious, generous to work with, friendly and creative! I had a great experience having them help me with my wedding.. Also, during moments of pre-wedding bridal breakdowns they were incredibly supportive and compassionate and all of you brides who've felt the stress of a planning a wedding will know what i mean.. ;-) I highly recommend them!

  I got married in Stinson Beach on August 1 and Local Flora was our florist. I absolutely loved the flowers and working with Silke Vom Bauer and her team. We also received many complements from wedding guests. I was nervous about hiring someone to do my flowers as I had become attached to the idea of designing all the arrangements and bouquets with friends. After a " trial" night we all decided that a florist was well worth the money and I found Silke... she captured our wedding vision with gorgeous arrangements, bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. The flowers were beautiful and creative with special touches at every turn. And all of our desired flowers were incorporated too.... and she will stay in your budget and gives great advice. Another cool thing is that she will use any pieces you want as flower containers- like a family heirloom silver pitcher. The Local Flora shop is adorable too and everyone who works there was super sweet. I highly recommend Local Flora.

  silke is very creative, and pleasant to work with. we wanted plants for centerpieces at our wedding that were local and incorporating live plants. silke constructed gorgeous pieces with persimmons and pomegrante branches. it was a little more expensive than I had anticipated but in the end we were blown away. She was extremely reliable in delivering everything and in getting back to me when i had questions.

  Local Flora provided us with chuppah decorations, two large table arrangements, a bridal bouquet, boutonnieres and corsages. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and precisely what I wanted. They were extremely professional, but also flexible and listened very well. The flowers were on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality, particularly since they were locally sourced, and they are are careful to not use any harmful chemicals or packaging like Styrofoam. My only tiny complaints: it was an unusually hot day, so the groom's boutonniere did wilt a bit, and the wrist corsages didn't quite stay put and so were a bit uncomfortable to wear. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend Local Flora! All my guests still remark about how wonderful the flowers were.

  Local Flora did a great job for my 2010 August wedding. I met with a few of the girls who work there, but Meredith ended up being the one who developed my wishy-washy ideas into gorgeous florals. I commend her for working so patiently with me because I truly came to her with a very broken idea of what I wanted and she made it into something great (even after I entirely changed my mind about colors and we had to start over from scratch). My bridesmaid bouquets were gorgeous and I was so surprised by how great they turned out. She created a beautiful alter out of wood and fabrics for a totally reasonable price. She is very creative and used the natural surroundings of the properties to help create the look. There was nothing superficial or structured about the florals for my wedding - they were naturally beautiful just as flowers should be.
  
  On another note, I continue to go to Local Flora for all occasions and I am always happy when I leave. They do a really good job and all the women are happy to help you put together something for any occasion.
