Perfect Venue for an Outdoor Wedding
Breath taking views of the mountains give way to secluded tree groves with a deck that overlooks the Foothills of Boulder. The views of the venue are as stunning at its ability to make sure it is the perfect spot for a hidden-gem wedding. With multiple different spots for ceremony, reception and dancing, the venue feels like a playground that allows for guests to be together in groups and to have one-on-one conversations with loved ones as well.
Through the whole process of planning, the venue was a great at being able to be flexible with our times of needing to see the grounds, of having vendors plan out where they would go and answering questions about logistics (mics, lighting, dancing - super helpful to have these answered promptly and professionally!)
Kristen went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was exactly as we had envisioned it. For an outdoors-loving couple who wanted a mountain feel with accessibility to Boulder and Longmont, this was the perfect place for a quiet and intimate gathering of loved ones.
Any time of year, the trees and flowers were beautiful and natural. Highly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a Front Range wedding venue.Breath taking views of the mountains give way to secluded tree groves with a deck that overlooks the Foothills of Boulder. The perfect venue!
We had such a perfect wedding at Lone Hawk! Kristin was very easy to work with and allowed us to come out several times before the wedding to plan. Our ceremony was in the field and turned out perfectly! The barn was gorgeous and we had food and games outside! Lone Hawk Farm was the most perfect venue I could ever ask for, at a price level beyond compare. You definitely get the value of your money for your wedding. Kristin is also very responsive, and will likely respond to emails within the same day, if not the same hour. Although they do require either full service catering or waitstaff to be hired for the event, Kristin is very knowledgeable about options and connected with services who are professional and familiar with her venue. I had a bit of a crisis three months out from the wedding requiring a change of venue (and everything else) and Lone Hawk was available, and cost me less than $4,000 - including rehearsal time, two sets of chairs for ceremony & reception, plenty of tables, as well as two PA systems. It is located in the most beautiful area between Longmont and Boulder, and the property is gorgeous - with trees and beauty everywhere you look. I have already suggested this location to everyone who will listen, because it is perfection in an affordable price range.Lone Hawk Farm was the most perfect venue I could ever ask for, at a price level beyond compare. We had a wonderful wedding at Lone Hawk Farm in September 2016. Kristin, the owner, was responsive and easy going through the whole planning process and was fully upfront with all the prices, fees, and details. Everything was reasonable, and we had zero surprises. We had a lot of access to the venue in the months leading up to the big day (I think we visited at least 3 times with different vendors and family members). We were able to secure a rehearsal the morning before at the venue and everything that was promised for the day of was available for us. This venue does require a very competent caterer for setup/tear down, but Kristin made that clear from the beginning and we had no trouble. (Expect to spend a little more on catering staff because of this.) There’s plenty of space for guests to spread out during the cocktail hour and reception and a number of our guests mentioned it was “the most relaxing wedding they’d been to.” We thoroughly enjoyed having our wedding at Lone Hawk and would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking for a farm/barn style wedding. We had a wonderful wedding at Lone Hawk Farm in September 2016. Working with LHF has been awesome. They were very accommodating about meeting with them to go over the site and possible locations for things (ceremony, reception, band/dance area, meal, yard games, etc.)
They have been so flexible about creating new spaces for us to use if our idea of the wedding is different from what they've used their farm for thus far.
They are VERY affordably priced, about half as much as other venues in the area!Working with LHF has been awesome. They were very accommodating about meeting with them to go over the site and possible locations for things (ceremony, reception, band/dance area, meal, yard games, etc.)

We fell in love with Lone Hawk Farm right away. It's a beautiful venue, secluded and surrounded by 360' of beautiful views. The ceremony cite is lovely, and we love that the reception will be in a barn. We dig that there's a lawn area big enough to have lawn games, and there are romantic wooden gates that will be great for taking pictures. Kristin has been extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and she responds to e-mails very quickly. This was an absolutely beautiful location for our wedding. The weather was great, the flowers were amazing, and the setting of Lone Hawk was just what we wanted. It created the feel we were looking for and was comfortable and relaxed. We went out to the farm several times over the months leading up to show friends and family and it got nicer and nicer as more of the flowers and fruit trees came to bloom. Couldn't have picked a better spot. This was an absolutely beautiful location for our wedding. The weather was great, the flowers were amazing, and the setting of Lone Hawk was just what we wanted. This family-owned farm is nestled in the foothills near Boulder, Colorado and is absolutely beautiful. There is a gorgeous area for a ceremony outside near the gazebo, and then the barn right nearby is a lovely place to host a reception--and very convenient that they are both in the same location. Lights are strung all around the indoor and outdoor areas to make for a romantic atmosphere. Cannot recommend this place enough. Perfect for an autumn wedding, but would be great for Spring or Summer too. This family-owned farm is nestled in the foothills near Boulder, Colorado and is absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with the Lone Hawk immediately upon driving up. The ceremony site was perfect for our wedding of 65 people. And the reception site was beautiful, we hardly had to decorate at all. Kristen, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating- she was a pleasure to work with. The peacocks hung around the bridal suite as I got ready, making it a very magical and fun experience. I can't say enough positive things about the Lone Hawk Farm- it was more than we could ever dream of. And it was extremely affordable! Only thing I noticed was the stage could use an upgrade- the carpet is a bit out-dated and the curtains are pretty bad looking. But we really didn't even notice until after the fact, in the photos. We fell in love with the Lone Hawk immediately upon driving up. The ceremony site was perfect for our wedding of 65 people. The farm is west of Longmont and was perfect for our informal, laid-back wedding. We had the ceremony outside at the gazebo and the reception in the barn. The forecast called for temperatures near 100 degrees, so Kristen (the owner) brought in AC units to help keep the barn comfortable (no extra charge - she is just very considerate). The barn has a dance floor and plenty of space (150 capacity), and tables & chairs are included. It was great value and provided just the kind of feel we wanted. Depending on your decorating style, you could make the barn fit just about any theme. There is an area in the farmhouse where you can get ready before the ceremony. It is a working farm, so pets are discouraged and parents need to keep an eye on their kids. The area is very clean though - I never noticed any bad odors on any of our visits there.
Notes:
-They require your food be served by a full-service caterer, or you can hire service staff. You are required to have a bartender (no self-service at the bar), and hard liquor is not allowed (beer, wine, champagne are okay, helped keep the bar tab lower).
-The contract states that music must end by 9pm. This seems early, but we found most people were ready to leave by then anyway (parents' generation at least). We also didn't want people drinking too much, too late, because everyone will need to either drive or carpool. We had a group who wanted to keep going after 9:00, so we all went to a bar where a cab could be called, if needed.
Some of the restrictions might not be appealing for everyone, but we wouldn't have changed a thing. Lone Hawk is so stunning. I choose it because I felt peaceful and happy every time I set foot on the land. It's private, intimate while also having great views. It doesn't need decoration at all, really. The inside is beautifully lit and there are tables and chairs already there for you to use which is a huge savings in terms of rentals. There is also a back up rain plan (the barn) which means you get the feel of an outdoor wedding without having to rent a tent. There are lots of areas to use and you can choose from several spots to hold the ceremony/cocktail hour/etc.
It is true that you are required to have a full-service caterer, but Kristin is very flexible about everything else and there are affordable ways of doing that too and saving money in other areas (bringing in your own alcohol, etc.).
Kristin was the most responsive and helpful of all the vendors I used. She also answered every single question within the day and was very kind to us when some things got dramatic on the day itself (dramatic on our end, nothing to do with the venue).
I will note that for me the only draw back of the space was that the latest you can party there is 10pm. So, if you are going this route, think carefully through the day and how early you might need to start the wedding ceremony to give yourself the time to party that you want.Lone Hawk is so stunning. Lone Hawk Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding
The site is beautiful and perfect for a wedding during a pandemic. It is a private setting with lots of space for people to mingle and visit with each other. There is a lovely building for the bride and her attendants to get ready for the ceremony. We had a fantastic string quartet and they had protection from sun and thankfully, no rain, to protect their instruments. The barn was gorgeous for our reception. It is so beautiful with the interior lights, that we didn't have to have many decorations. Lone Hawk includes beautiful wooden tables and chairs in the rental agreement. There is a good speaker system that is included.
Whatever you do, hire the coordinator for the day, Leah Case. She is fantastic in overseeing all the details, so my mother and I could relax and enjoy the day.
Kristin, the owner, was very easy to work with and flexible with our plans. The only reason I gave 4 stars for flexibility was because the wedding rehearsal had to be between 9 and 11 am the day before the wedding, if they have an event planned the evening before your wedding.

Secret Garden Farm Venue of Dreams
We got married at Lone Hawk Farm over Labor Day Weekend. We planned for the ceremony in the big open field, but as the temperature passed 100* we opted for the more secluded, shaded garden with the pergola. This place has so many gardens and hidden spots for photo opportunities. They include so much in the rental agreement - other places wanted to charge $100 per farm house table - when they were included in the price at LHF (which came under every other venue we looked at). Real bathrooms (not a trailer)! Huge bridal suite! Wooden crossback chairs! Farm animals! Love this place. We got married at Lone Hawk Farm over Labor Day Weekend. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience it was to have our wedding at Lone Hawk Farm last summer! The venue was absolutely beautiful and it really shines through in all of our wedding photos. Though we didn't use the large indoor barn space, the recent updates made the indoor vs. outdoor decision tough. They recently replaced the barn ceiling and painted the space, so it looks really great. We opted to have the entire event outside, and many of our guests commented on what a lovely setting it was. We appreciated having so many different options for outdoor locations to take photos and hold the various events. The smaller barn is a beautiful space for the wedding party to gather before the ceremony, and offered contingency plan for the ceremony in case of rain that we knew we wouldn't be disappointed with (lucky for us though - we had great weather!). The only thing that was a bit of a pain, was that they only provide 5 gallons of potable water. With a summer time event, we brought in a lot of extra water, which was a hassle.
Kristin was incredibly easy to work with, from our first meeting through the day-of the event. Wedding planning can be quite stressful, and Kristin made all things venue-related incredibly easy. She promptly responded to every e-mail, answered all of our questions clearly, and was very flexible with regard to planning visits. I'm generally a very thorough researcher of options and a second-guesser of everything, and our venue choice was one of the wedding choices we never had a second thought about!I can't say enough about the wonderful experience it was to have our wedding at Lone Hawk Farm last summer! We had a great time hosting our wedding at Lone Hawk Farm. The venue was perfect for us and all of our guests loved the area as well. We had plenty of space to spread out and didn't have to share the space with any other events. It was a unique venue and made our wedding special as well. We would recommend it for anyone wanting a farm wedding. We had a great time hosting our wedding at Lone Hawk Farm. The venue was perfect for us and all of our guests loved the area as well. Lone Hawk Farms is beautiful in the summer! Guests were asking us how we found the place, and commenting about how great it was. It was exactly what we wanted!
If you are a more laid back bride, and want something outdoors that isn't too froo-froo this is it. The reason I say that it's a little more laid back is because it is a a working farm. There are animals there (which we loved), and the reception site is a barn (a nice barn). Really though, it's beautiful and worth checking out.
Be aware, however, that you need a full service caterer because there is not running water in the back for them to wash dishes, etc (there are bathrooms with running water though.) The bridal cottage is a little hard to find and it's probably the biggest drawback of the whole place because it's only available for two hours, and there are a ton of stairs you have to deal with.
Overall, as I wrote before, it's beautiful and we loved it! Kristin was easy
to work with. The grounds are kept up well, and our guests were blown away. I would highly recommend this venue.

Lone Hawk is a wonderful tucked away location that is definitely worth the price. The option for indoor or outdoor worked wonderfully as of course, it rained. However, the barn is just as spectacular as the outdoor setting. As it is a working farm, email worked best for contact and was the easiest. If you are a phone, answer my call immediately type of person, you will be disappointed in the response times so just be patient. There were a few misunderstandings in regards to the music the day of. The IPod hook up is just a smaller speaker system really, not the large DJ speakers around the stage. This wasn't a huge deal and was figured out rather quickly. Overall, my family and friends wouldn't stop raving about how beautiful the property was and how perfect it fit us.Lone Hawk is a wonderful tucked away location that is definitely worth the price. The option for indoor or outdoor worked wonderfully as of course, it rained. I loved having our wedding at Lone Hawk, the venue is beautiful and offers a lot of flexibility in terms or spaces to have ceremonies, receptions, get ready, etc. It's tough to get to the site at 2:00 (the earliest allowed) and end by 9:00 (when guests leave) but in the end it was fantastic if a little rushed during setup. Would definitely recommend this place, the pictures alone make it worth it (you can't believe some of the views!)I loved having our wedding at Lone Hawk, the venue is beautiful and offers a lot of flexibility in terms or spaces to have ceremonies, receptions, get ready, etc. It's tough to get to the site at 2:00 (the earliest allowed) and end by 9:00 (when guests leave) but in the end it was fantastic if a little rushed during setup.
