    Charming and Rustic Winery

We were married at Longshadow Ranch Winery in May. Let me tell you this winery is incredibly underrated and I don't understand why. The barn that is used for the reception is perfect if you're going for a rustic look - it has everything and you can honestly get away with minimal decor because the outside is gorgeous, and the inside is equally impressive. It has high high high ceilings, there's a loft upstairs where you'll get ready with your gals. There's an additional suite on the property for the groom and his men. The grounds on which we had our ceremony are nestled between the grand barn and the vineyards. There's a fountain that leads your up a walkway to the arches - it was honestly perfect! If you want grandeur you can certainly tailor it to suit your vision, if you are going for something simple and elegant, this is also the spot! Overall we were so happy with how easy everything was, the coordinator was helpful and easy and the point man, Dave, was lovely as well. Overall highly, highly, recommend! The pricing for this area (Temecula wine country) was also insanely affordable compared to other wineries that seemed to offer less.

    Beautiful Rustic Venue

Longshadow ranch is the perfect setting for a rustic wedding, the entire winey is so beautiful and the animals are a nice touch if you have kids at the wedding!
Our wedding turned out to be perfect thanks to Shayna, she made sure every details was covered before the wedding and then ensured all those details were perfect on the day. I didn't have any stresses or worries on the day as Shyana made sure everyone was were they were supposed to be at the right times.
We are still getting compliments on how beautiful the venue was, we definitely picked the best one of there!

    An absolute dream

This was the first venue we toured during our wedding planning process and after seeing the venue and speaking with Shayna (wedding coordinator), we knew it was the one! Longshadow is absolutely beautiful. From the ceremony area to grand lodge where the reception takes place and all the great places to take pictures. Shayna was amazing throughout the whole process. The day we toured the venue, I came in with a list of questions, but didn’t even need to use it because she already answered all them all when she was going over everything. She got back to us super quick whenever we had any other questions pop up along the way. We were also provided with a list of vendors to use as a starting point which helped A LOT! On the day of the wedding there’s so much going on, but Shayna made everything run so smoothly! The whole day was such a dream and I’m so glad we had our wedding at Longshadow! We already plan to visit again on future anniversaries

They also have really good wine!

    Longshadow Ranch Winery's reply:

Thank you so much for taking your time to review your experience with us! You, Austen, and all your family and friends were so sweet. It was an absolute honor to be a part of your day. Can't wait to see you when you visit! ~Shayna

    Can We Have Another Wedding?

What can we say but wow! From start to finish our wedding day was a dream. We booked our wedding at Longshadow Ranch and honestly, could not have made a more perfect choice for ourselves. The venue is spectacular, flexible with your needs and a wow factor for everyone in attendance (Not to mention the stunning animals they have on site!). The food was delicious (people were going back for seconds!), and the wine was never-ending. This is truly a hidden gem.

As a Catering Sales Manager for a living, I tend to pay attention to every detail in an overly-attentive fashion. I did not have to worry about a thing with Shayna at the helm! She was amazing, friendly to everyone, patient when we were stressing and an overall caring person. With rain outside, she took every care in making sure that our surprise indoor ceremony was just as perfect as it was set to be outside.

We could not recommend Longshadow Ranch Winery with any higher of praise. We will continue to visit on our anniversary (any many other times in between) because the team became like family to us.

    Longshadow Ranch Winery's reply:

Thank you for the glowing review Briana! You and Chris are such an amazing couple, you made my job so easy. You are definitely a part of the Longshadow family and we look forward to all of your future visits. Thank you for choosing to share your special day with us. I wish you a lifetime of happiness! ~Shayna

Absolutely loved this venue! The staff was so nice and responded quickly to all of my questions. Geneva was my final coordinator, along with Laurie, and they were both so great! Helped me with all that I needed to plan and any last minute issues the day of. We utilized the mechanical bull and it was a wedding sensation! The carriage ride into the wedding was something out of a fairy tale. I loved everything about this venue. Our wedding was on the hottest day of the year in Temecula, 108 degrees! They did everything they could to keep us and our guests cool! And the wine they make on the property is exquisite. Since the maximum amount of guests is 178, this location is perfect for smaller weddings. We had 134 people at our wedding and it was amazing :)

I cannot speak highly enough of Longshadow and our experience of getting married! My husband and I are both wedding photographers, and Longshadow is a venue we had shot a few times before booking our own wedding there. It is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for a rustic themed wedding that has a beautiful background with little need for extra decorations.

And then there's Laurie... Laurie is the most incredibly awesome coordinator! She honestly MADE the experience for us. When you're busy stressing out over everything else wedding-related, it is so calming to have Laurie there making things much easier. She was quick to respond to our many questions and was so accommodating in making sure our day was as perfect as possible. We absolutely love working with her on both a professional and personal level.

On another note, the wine is absolutely delicious! We very happily signed up for the wine club and will be picking up our first batch soon as we celebrate one month of being married! :)

Cant say enough about Longshadow. This is more than just the prettiest venue in Temecula. The wedding coordinator, Laurie, is one of the nicest People we've ever met. She is so knowledgeable, in control, comforting, helpful and creative. Laurie and the entire Longshadow staff, from Christina the bar tender, to Jorge the caterer, are just a complete delight. We had about 100 guests and not one complaint from anyone about anything.
If you are lucky enough to be able to book this beautiful Venue for your special day, jump on it. It would be the single best decision you make in the entire wedding planning process.
Thank you Longshadow for an incredible wedding !!!

I don't think there are enough words to express how lucky and honored we were to work with Longshadow Ranch and Laurie Caty for our wedding. They made the entire planning process so easy and realistic. They made every single wish and hope and dream come to life. Laurie, the venue coordinator, was so professional, friendly and helpful. Anything I wanted or needed she made sure was possible. The venue is absolutely stunning. The ceremony took place on the lawn over looking vineyards all around. The reception was held in the barn which had the perfect amount of rustic charm and simplicity. I wish I could have my wedding day all over again just to be back at Longshadow!

This venue is absolutely beautiful!!! It was everything we could have ever imagined and then some. Situated in the middle of wine country, but looks like it belongs in the middle of Kentucky. We love the country/rustic feel that this venue gives, it was perfect for our rustic/romantic wedding.
Laurie is their new coordinator, we were informed that the old coordinator was no longer there right after we booked and I was definately nervous. Laurie called us right up to set up an in-person meeting to go over everything again and make sure we were comfortable with her and happy with what we wanted on our special day. We were immediately put at ease with her openness and inviting personality, she was AMAZING!
There was constant communication and she was very quick to answer any emails that were sent her way (about 5-10 minutes after sending it)
The day of the rehearsal, we walked in and noticed that the floors were changed, they had installed BEAUTIFUL hardwood flooring about 2 wks prior. These floors were a nice surprise and really made a difference in all the photos!
Laurie was great at keeping us on track and to the timeline, so much so that I never had to worry about anything that day.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a rustic/romantic wedding!!

I love this venue and the people who run it and work there. Samantha Scarpine (the wedding coordinator) is so amazing. She makes you feel so stress free the day of. She makes sure everything is taken care of and gives amazing recommendations as far as DJs go and officiants! Our bartender Mike was so great too. I would recommend this place to everyone. The venue itself doesn't even need decorations. It's just a neat place to begin with and has that country rustic but elegant feel to it. Absolutely love it!! Now I want to go back just to go wine tasting. We had a count of 115. If you pay for 100 (which I would recommend only having), the food and 2 drinks minimum comes in handy. We didn't go over our 2 drinks per person but if we had, it would've turned into a cash bar which i thought was pretty cool since I'm not rich! :) For the price and what you get, you won't find better!!!! Best place EVER!

I have to say that the pricing is fairly similar to other wineries in the area and if you are looking for a super formal event, go somewhere else. However, we wanted a beautiful, rustic wedding and that is exactly what we got. The venue itself is quaint but gorgeous as well. But what really makes this place awesome are the people. Sam Scarpine is the event coordinator and she is GREAT at what she does! She was wonderful to work with for many reasons: 1) she appreciates texts or emails over phone conversations because it is easier to make sure the brides requests are followed through (I personally agree this is the best way to keep tabs); 2) she gave great suggestions on all wedding vendors (florists, DJ, etc.) but also worked extremely well with our vendors; 3) she's very friendly but also had a "take charge" personality which helped out so much on the day of; 4) she directed my rehearsal because the officiant was unable to attend our suggested date and time. This saved us $100 and since Sam is the one that sends the wedding party down the aisle and is pretty much the person in charge of everything on the day of, this was worked out perfectly. At first, we were nervous to not have the officiant at the rehearsal but honestly it didn't matter; 5) she jumped in during the reception when the baker was MIA for cake cutting! Life saver!!; 6) she did little things throughout the wedding to make my day perfect, that I heard about later - such as, give my friend's son a cup fruit because he was crying for the fruit on the wedding cake. My friend is very picky and doesn't like anyone and she said she "loved" Sam for doing this.

In addition, the staff and bartenders were wonderful! I have dealt with the staff way more outside of the wedding day since I was so busy on that day, but I have heard nothing but great things from the guests, about the staff at longshadow.

    Thanks Longshadow!!

This venue is absolutely beautiful for a winery wedding. We chose this location for its country feel and the price was excellent compared to other wineries in the area. The DJ they provided was great and the wedding planner really knew what she was doing. The only reason I gave the quality 4.5 stars is because some of my guests complained about the caterer they provided. Other than that my experience at this venue was picture perfect!

We found the perfect venue for us in Longshadow Ranch Winery. They have the most beautiful location, incredible wines and the absolute best prices in the Temecula area for a ranch and winery venue. The catering and rentals (tables and chairs) were included in the price of the venue and they worked with us on every single request we had no matter how rediculous. We absolutely loved having our wedding there and joined their wine club because we love their wines so much. Our only complaint and the reason for a lower rating on responsiveness was the wedding coordinator we were working with at the time did not respond to emails or requests in a timely fashion and down to the day of there was confusion which really added to my stress. However we have heard that coordinator is no longer there and they have a new person. In this case I highly recommend Longshadow. The owners and staff there are fantastic! I hope you choose Longshadow and have a wonderful wedding!

We had our wedding at Longshadow Ranch and Winery. All in all, our wedding turned out fabulous and beautiful. Longshadow was exactly the beautiful and rustic venue that we were looking for. It is fairly reasonably priced, especially compared to the surrounding wineries in Temecula. I still think of it as a hidden little gem because not that many people seem to know about it. :)
The staff at Longshadow is very chill and they pretty much let you do what you want as long as you are out by 10:00 and don't make any distortions to their walls. The coordinator that we worked with, Samantha, was one of the reasons we decided to go with Longshadow. In the beginning, she was so sweet, helpful, and seemed like she could give us the world. Unfortunately, as it got closer to the wedding, we felt that she was not nearly as quick to respond as she had been in the beginning. There were also some things that she told us we could do when we booked that were not going to be able to happen once it got closer to the wedding. Perhaps we had a few miscommunications and she was very busy a couple of weeks before our wedding. In any rate, on the day of our wedding, she was awesome! She was very helpful and made the day go very smoothly.
My husband and I had an amazing wedding and I know that having it at Longshadow played a big part in it. We had a countless number of compliments on our wedding and the venue. We had the best day of our lives and I know that all of our guests had a blast; therefore, I would recommend Longshadow as a wedding venue.

I feel in love with this venue the first time I saw it and knew it was going to be a beautiful place to get married. Although there was a little rough patch with our original coordinator leaving and a new one stepping in, Geneva stepped up to the plate on wedding day. The day ran flawlessly and I didn't have to worry about a thing. All my guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had. This spot exceeded my expectations for what my wedding day would be and I am so grateful

Such a beautiful place! We loved our venue. We had the chance of working with the cordinator Samantha and she was absolutely incredible. We loved her! She would always get back to us right away and always made us feel special. She did a great job with giving us detailed information whenever we had questions and she had a lot of great ideas as well! The only issue we had was on the day of our actual wedding. The owner of Longshadow showed up and was rude to one of our vendors but other than that it was a great place. It had a ton of great spots for photos. Thanks again to Sam, she was amazing!!!!

For the most part our experience getting married at Longshadow was great. There were a few hiccups the day of that were not the best, and for the most part Laurie fixed them.
    Pros:
-The Venue itself is so pretty, and it helps that everything is included in the price so you don't have to stress over some of the small stuff, which makes it easy.
-Laurie is available for any questions that you have before the wedding and is very good about responding to emails quickly.
    Cons:
-We were told that wine tasting would be closed off inside the barn so that we could begin getting ready upon our arrival time and they were still serving when we got there. I was not thrilled about the fact that I would be getting naked upstairs to get my dress put on while there were still people doing wine tasting below.
-We were told we would have a bottle of wine and other refreshments for us when the bridal party was getting ready. It was not prepared for us, and we had to ask multiple times for bottle and drinks before eventually one of our friends who was there to set up brought a bottle of wine up for us.
-They have their bonfire/concert thing going on during certain months in the summer which for the most part wasn't a problem, however what was a problem was people from there coming over and peering through the windows during the reception, and coming across the way to take photos in the photo booth we rented.
-Another big issue I had was during our grand exit. I had planed for us to leave to a specific song and the band from across the street was so loud, you would think that the venue and the band would have the courtesy to stop or take a short 3-5 minute break for us, but nothing was done about it. In fact one of our groomsmen went over to ask them to stop for a minute and was told it was their last song. When the song ended they then announced that they would be playing another song...I just felt that was rude and could have been handled better.

We fell in love with Longshadow Ranch years ago when we came for wine tasting, and we could not believe it when we realized how affordable LSR was for weddings. We were thrilled to book them and in the end we had the most beautiful, fairytale of a wedding a married couple could dream of. Alas, there were some serious problems that we faced with the staff running the ranch, therefore we do warn you to proceed with caution. Everything went as planned, until it was wedding time. Specific examples are:

-We arrived with our large group for the rehearsal the day before 1 hour prior to the rehearsal’s start time. We walked around the property and said hello to the few staff we saw. We waited up front for the coordinator to appear, and by fifteen past the appointment time we had to go look for her. We found her with other clients/customers casually conversing and she seemed surprised to see us. We were shocked that she wasn’t up front and prepared for not only our start time but maybe even a few minutes prior to greet us.

-The day of the wedding we arrived and the location had not been cleaned completely after the wedding from the day before. The floors in the barn, the bridal loft, the “groomsman suite” and the bathrooms hadn’t been swept or vacuumed, and the “groomsman suite” even had broken glass on the floor which one of us cut our foot on. When our aunt kindly approached the coordinator about maybe running the vacuum, her response was that she didn’t have enough staff to get the place cleaned up.

-When we brought these issues to the owners’ attention, they became defensive and showed poor business practices.

-They do not allow you to set up much sooner than the ceremony start time! This was really hard for us, and it interrupted our ability to be getting ready when we needed to be.

I chose this venue because it was rustic and truly is charming. At first the coordinator was responsive and basically the venue promised us we could do all of the things we had asked. Towards the wedding I was quickly informed that those things couldn't be granted. For example I planned to get ready at the ranch and they said we would have the venue all day. That was a lie and a week before they stated that we couldn't set ANYTHING up until 2 hours before the wedding. Be careful! My wedding was beautiful and the cost was great but I felt cheated. Also we chose to have a cash bar and the rule was we had to have our guests spend a minimum amount. My guests were trying to help me get to that amount so that I wouldn't have to pay the difference so they bought bottles of wine etc to get the tab higher. The bartenders told my father at 9 pm that we had far surpassed the required spend and at 10 pm suddenly we were told we owed $300. This did not make sense at all! They then said bottles of wine aren't included. They previously told us they were. The owner showed up as we were cleaning up the venue and was completely rude. It was my wedding night and I never once said anything about having to pay 300 and yet he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. I also was told that champaign would be served dueing cocktail hour. As i was reflecting on my wessing 3 days later i realized that did not happen. I ask the cordinator about it and she said that NO ONE ASKED FOR IT DURING COCKTAIL HOUR. I thought guests were to be served and how were they to assume that we had organized complimentary champaign? again, they were not willing to do anything to fix their mistake. Overall the venue is pretty and could be a wonderful place but these people do not care about your special day. Watch out because they will promise you the world to get your money and then will back out in the end.

The wedding coordinator promised we had the whole day to set up and basically have the venue to ourselves. Weeks before the wedding we find out we can only get there 3 hours before the wedding!! Also, no one informed us at the time of signing the contract that we wouldn't be able to pick what beer and wine would be served! To top it all of, Sam, the coordinator wore a WHITE LACE DRESS!!! There were many other little things that were promised and then totally changed but those were the big things. Anyways, spend the extra money and go somewhere else...
