We got married at Lovingston on June 22, 2024, and we could not recommend it more! To start, it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. From the beautiful old oak tree on the front lawn to the vines with mountain views, the scenery is SO pretty. Not to mention Tessa and Wes’s beautiful design of the new barn - the Tupelo House - and the cozy vibes they created in the Farmhouse and Cabin. Tessa and Wes were communicative from the very beginning, helping us set up a tour, answering all of our questions throughout the entire process, helping us pick the (delicious) wines for our reception, and being super responsive during our wedding weekend. Having the Farmhouse and Cabin on property was such an amazing amenity. Most of our wedding party stayed onsite, and it made for such a fun and relaxed vibe that I would highly recommend - no need to look at extra properties for getting ready or booking transportation for the wedding party! Waking up on site and sitting on the tree swing and walking around the property with my dog, fiancé, and friends, was one of my most special memories from the weekend. The included furniture was awesome and fit our vibe, and the additional rentals they offered were stunning and matched the beautiful taste they demonstrate throughout the property. Being at a winery, you have to purchase their wine for the reception (just like all of the wineries in the Charlottesville area), and theirs are all amazing. We had our wedding at Lovingston Winery on June 1, 2024, and it was amazing. Wes and Tessa were an absolute joy to work with and are such kind and generous people. You can tell they’ve put a lot of love and thought into the property, and the wine is also incredible! Both Wes and Tessa were great with communication, and they also got married here – so in addition to hosting many other couples, they know this place well! All our family traveled from out of town, so it was nice to have the option for some of us to stay on the property (in the cabin and farmhouse AirBnBs) throughout the entire wedding weekend and not feel so rushed on the wedding day. Some of our best memories were hanging out on the porch drinking coffee together or lounging in the Adirondack chairs sipping wine. Other family and friends stayed at hotels in Charlottesville or other AirBnBs/B&Bs in Lovingston. I also didn’t have a wedding planner, and Tessa was so generous with her time and wedding advice in helping me plan the day. Wes and Tessa set up our chairs for the ceremony and even had some of their crew help carry them back down during cocktail hour so we could use them again for dinner. The barn, called the Tupelo House, where we held our cocktail hour and reception, was beautiful. The weather was perfect with a light breeze, and the giant barn doors allowed plenty of airflow without the need to rent extra fans. I also loved that they offered farm tables, chairs, and a bar as part of their wedding package (among many other perks). The whole wedding weekend was absolutely perfect, and I cannot recommend this space more!

Lovingston Winery is an absolutely beautiful and perfect venue for anyone having a wedding in the Virginia area. Tessa and Wes are the nicest people and are willing to do anything to make your day go absolutely smooth. Tessa was always very responsive and understanding to any questions/concerns. Tessa and her kindness was one of the biggest reasons we chose this venue. Of course, the views and the vineyards are beautiful and make for a perfect backdrop for a wedding. The venue has two places on property for the entire bridal party to stay on site for two nights! In all the venues we looked at this was the only one that offered this and it was so nice after rehearsal to hang around with the bridal party all in one space. This was one of our favorite features of Lovingston Winery. If you aren't certain on the vibe of the ceremony you want... there are multiple locations on the property that work for a ceremony site. As for the reception space... the new Tupelo House is absolutely stunning and perfect for hosting your reception. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough about this venue and Tessa is truly a remarkable person who truly cares about you and wants your wedding to go smoothly and how you envisioned it. If you are looking for a beautiful, unique, and perfect place to get married, we could not recommend Lovingston Winery enough. The wine is good, the people are good, and the views are amazing.

Our wedding at Lovingston Winery was out of a dream. The setting is beautiful, with the vineyards in the foreground and the mountains in the background. We were able to have our whole wedding party stay on site which made the weekend so much smoother. The Tupelo House (event barn) is absolutely beautiful and such a fun place to dance the night away. Tessa and Wes were kind and helpful the entire time, and Tessa was so gracious with my many emails asking about small details for other vendors. They made us feel so welcome and valued, and we're so grateful for all of their help in making our day so special!

Our daughter wanted to be married surrounded by the beauty found in the hills of Virginia. There is no finer display of that beauty than Lovingston Winery. The minute we arrived; we knew we had found a special place. It was not hard to imagine our daughter’s wedding under the gorgeous oak tree standing tall in front of the 1900’s farmhouse. Being able to stay at the farmhouse during the wedding weekend, added so much convenience and precious family time together. The luxurious bridal suite was a highlight for sure, providing peaceful rest for the bride and excellent lighting for her to get ready. We fell in love with the entire property so much that we held the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception all at Lovingston Winery. Tessa and Wes are personable and eager to assist guests in any way. They promptly provided anything we may have forgotten, seamlessly filling in gaps we had overlooked. We look forward to visiting Lovingston for events in the future. Highly, highly recommend this venue!

Lovingston Winery was the perfect venue for my niece’s wedding. It’s a beautiful property, surrounded by sprawling vineyards and nature. The farmhouse is lovely, very clean and so homey, and the outbuildings add a nice mix of quaint and rustic. It’s a great option for having the whole bridal party together but traditionally separate. The owners were on-site, helpful during set-up and available for challenges or questions. I definitely recommend Lovingston Winery for the perfect Hallmark wedding, or any other event.

Lovingston winery was the first venue my partner and I visited in search for a wedding venue. After meeting Tess and Wes and touring the property, we knew we didn't need to look anywhere else! Both hosts were so welcoming and helpful throughout the whole process! We also could not get over how nice everything was! We felt so cared for and are looking forward to visiting in the future and remembering our special day!

I do not have enough words to say about how much the Lovingston family means to my wife and I. From the first day we toured the venue we were absolutely blown away and we continued to be amazed. The winery and the views of the mountains were unmatched but the family is what made the experience beyond our wildest dreams. Tessa and Wes and their entire family took such good care of us from logistics to decor to being our cheerleaders and holding our hands every step of the way. Our wedding day was the absolute best day of our lives and we could not have done it without the Lovingston team! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of us, you all went way above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of!

Absolutely stunning views! My husband and I fell in love with the venue the moment we stepped on the property. Everything that we needed was provided pre and post wedding. Wes and Tessa were extremely kind and helpful throughout the process. They were there to assist and help direct all the aspects of our big day. They were also so flexible in catering to our needs and wishes and making the last minute accommodations to make our day perfect. We couldn't have imagined our wedding at any other venue. I recommend this venue to anyone who considers it.

Lovingston Winery was the perfect place for our wedding!!! We got married in late November and were blessed with a sunny day to hold our ceremony outdoors. We arrived on Friday afternoon to find Tessa and Wes already at work setting up the arbor and ceremony space as we had requested. They were happy to even make minor adjustments the day before to match our vision. From the day we toured the venue to the end of the wedding, they were incredible to work with! Tessa made herself available over email or phone calls as often as I needed to talk through plans, questions, or brainstorm ideas. The Lovingston team helped set up many things for our wedding day and even provided wine pourers for dinner on our request. The barn had just been finished the summer before our wedding, but we couldn’t have been happier with the space. It was elegant and peaceful, making it easy to invite our families and friends into the space.

One of our favorite things about this venue was the access to the space included! We got to arrive on Friday and use the house for our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner (for a small number of people). Then we stayed on property the night before the wedding and enjoyed the well kept cabin for the men and farmhouse for the women all morning until the wedding. We did choose to pay extra for the winery to be closed on Saturday morning (wedding day) which provided some relief from the hustle of setting up in the morning. We were very happy with this choice!

Overall, Lovingston is a beautiful venue! Every detail is well kept and pleasing to the eye. The team was so helpful and took extra steps to make sure our wedding day happened as plans. Communication was excellent and they were very willing to hear our ideas and consider what we wanted for the day! We loved Lovingston and would recommend to anyone looking for a space to enjoy their wedding weekend!
