    Lindsey is the best!

    I would absolutely HIGHLY recommend Lindsey to any bride. We were so thrilled with Lindsey and her team and could not say one negative thing about the experience. I have already given her name to many brides just starting off. I loved many things about Lindsey but to name a few top:

    Lindsey had such a professional demeanor but was also friendly and fun, someone I actually wanted to be around and enjoyed spending the year planning with her. She has a great way of saying "I don't think that's the best idea" without completely shutting anyone down. Because, you are paying for someone with an experienced opinion so you want them to give it to you, and Lindsey did it in the most polite and professional way. I saw her interact with my family, in-laws, all the vendors, and everyone respected her and she was nothing but polite and professional. And, most importantly, if I as the bride got stressed and testy (it happens) Lindsey handled it with the most poise and calming presence. I 100% trusted her.

    Lindsey has a great design eye. One worry I had with a planner was that they would just brand themselves and not see my vision. Absolutely not the case with Lindsey, she totally captured my vibe and vision and gave me many options, never pushed me towards something that was "her style".

    Lindsey was very budget friendly and always gave me multiple options to review. For example, I got at least 10 options for florals. I went with the cheapest, and trusted her opinion that for the price it was great value. I was not disappointed, the flowers were perfect and I was happy to save some money in that area.

    Lindsey executed the big day without a single hic-up and to me that says it all. I did not worry one bit the whole day and literally every detail fell in to perfect place thanks to Lindsey and her team. She is truly amazing!

    I could go on and on! Brides will not be disappointed with choosing Lindsey. If you are on the fence, I recommend meeting Lindsey in person. We met up for coffee before choosing her. You will immediately love her attitude, professionalism, and poise,. and you'll want to spend the next year of planning with her!

    Working with Lindsey and team made all the difference for our destination wedding in Sonoma/Kenwood. We live on the east coast, so Lindsey was our eyes and ears for a lot of our vendor decisions and long-distance planning. I can't say enough about how organized and helpful she was-- and how a majority of our phone calls turned into therapy sessions while I vented about family, planning and more. Lindsey beautifully managed our rehearsal the day before the wedding and ran the show on the day of. Every guest, detail, musical cue, candle and napkin was exactly how I wanted it, and the end result was absolutely perfect. It was *literally* the perfect day. I wish Lindsey could plan my whole life! I met with a number of planners in Sonoma in preparation for the wedding and Lindsey stood out because she was firm, professional and supportive. Exactly what you need when gathering 100 of your nearest and dearest in wine country. Thank you Lindsey and team!!

    I hired L'Relyea events as the day of coordinator for my June 20, 2015 wedding. And I could not be happier with my decision! My mom and I met with Lindsey, Julia, and Delaney about a month before the big event. They helped us get organized and put the finishing touches on everything! They had great ideas that complemented my overall vision perfectly. When the big day finally arrived Julia and Delaney were there with smiles on their faces to help set-up and run the rehearsal. Thank goodness they were there since it turns out that trying to get 10 family members to set tables for 200 people can be quite complicated without expert guidance! We needed a chief, thank goodness Julia was there for us! Our wedding turned out to be absolute perfection!! Julia and Delaney kept everything and everyone on schedule. Literally nothing went wrong! It was the perfect day. I could go on and on... but I will keep it short(ish) and just say: Lindsey and her team clearly love what they do and know how to execute an event flawlessly. Hire them. You will not be disappointed.

    Julia did an outstanding job. Our wedding in Sonoma was perfect!

    In the 3 months leading up to the wedding, we had weekly calls with Julia where she made sure we were on track. She guided us through the tougher decisions, deftly navigated our in-call arguments, and gave us great ideas and advice on the items we wanted to DIY.

    I have a super high bar for this type of thing (I am hyper-organized and type-A in my work), and I generally feel like to do things right, I have to do them myself. However, the way Julia carried herself and got stuff done, she earned my complete faith in her. In the couple of months leading up to the wedding, Julia drove the communications with vendors, took meetings with our venue and catering coordinators as needed (so we didn't have to), and made sure rides, rentals, and other vendors were all aligned.

    Julia was also always available if I was freaking out about something - if I ever called she always returned my calls extremely promptly.

    The wedding - perfect. It was just flawless, and we didn't have to do anything! Julia handled it all. And any time we saw her during the evening, she was relaxed, happy, and had an air of confidence that let us know everything was fully under control.

    Fabulous job, I highly recommend Julia. Thank you, Julia!!

    My wedding was a bit different from most. We had 2 ceremonies, it spanned almost 12 hours, my husband came in on a horse. I knew that whoever I picked to be my wedding planner needed to be up for a fun and crazy ride. Working with l'Relyea Events surpassed all my hopes and expectations. They helped me and my husband combine two cultures with ease and beauty. The wedding was beyond our dreams and amazed our guests. What is better? The planning process was fun and professional. Lindsey and team were amazing from start to finish. From day one of working with them we felt comfortable, confident and excited about our day. I can not say enough how much I recommend this company to help out with your special day! P.S. I do events for a living so I had an incredibly high standard to meet. . . they flew past it!

    I have planned many events, and so thought all I needed was "day of events", which is what we contracted for. But- I never planned my own wedding!!!! Julia and Lindsey were terrific, helping with so much more than just the day of the event! Julia had several "phone conferences" with us, and we each ended up with a list of "to-dos", there were so many things she was able to suggest and offer ideas about.

    The day before and the actual day of the event, I never once worried about a thing, knowing Julia had it all in hand. I loved seeing the photos after seeing things she took care of with my friends. She kept things on track, I never had to think about the time or what needed to be done. I love the photo of Julia pinning a corsage on my son.... priceless!!!!

    I am so happy I used L'Reylea Events to help with my Wedding, it made my day and the planning so much more fun and less stressful. Thanks especially to Julia and also to Lindsey.

    I hired Lindsey to help us with the day of coordination for our wedding! Lindsey is one of those people you instantly like! She is very approachable and easy to talk to. She listened all my ideas and was interested in not only what I wanted the wedding to look like but how I wanted the wedding to feel!
    Throughout the planning process she was responsive and very helpful! The day of the wedding I was fully confident that she would help create an amazing day for us and she did!! Our wedding ceremony and reception went flawlessly and it was thanks to Lindsey!

    We are so thankful to have found L'Relyea Events to help us with our wedding in Sonoma.

    Although we hired Lindsey for day-of coordination, in reality it was much more. She worked closely with us during the months leading up to the wedding and helped up get a handle on the best way to organize the flow of the day. She was available with advice and expertise on just about anything that came up and really took the time to understand our vision for the day. Leading up to the wedding she was in contact with all our vendors which took a huge load off our plates (as a bonus, she already had a professional relationship with several of our vendors). On the big day, Lindsey and her assistant Julia did a wonderful job of executing all the details. Our ceremony and reception were at two different sites and there was a lot of set up and execution that needed to happen simultaneous at both spots. There was a lot to coordinate and they did it flawlessly.

    Lindsey was extremely organized, calm, professional -- and not to mention a joy to have around on our wedding day! She has good judgment and is the type of person who just gets stuff done. She is exactly the type of person you want in your corner.

    Having a team like L'Relyea Events gave us the peace of mind to just relax and really be able to enjoy the day we had worked so hard to plan.

    I hired Lindsey as my wedding planner for full service planning. I was so lucky to have found her and her company. She is an amazing person on a professional level as well as a personal level. She really does become a friend during the process of planning because she is so sweet and easy to get along with - such a great woman to work with. She makes everything so easy, comfortable and smooth. Even though I hired her for full-service planning, I wanted to be a part of details and do some DIY projects so she laid out a timeline for us from the beginning and gave me monthly checklists so nothing ever got too overwhelming or became too much of a burden. This was perfect for me. She really worked to understand me and helped provide the perfect experience in every step of the way. Everything from beginning venue selection to the night before the wedding last minute details, she was my rock. I would highly recommend using her as your wedding planner.

    My wife, Lianna, and I were married on October 6th, 2012 in our hometown of Healdsburg, California. We are currently living on the East Coast, and were thus faced with the challenge of planning our wedding to take place on the other side of the country. We looked into the prospect of a DIY wedding and soon realized that we needed someone whom we could trust to take care of most of the heavy lifting. Lianna’s mother came across Lindsey at a wedding expo just outside of Healdsburg and was taken with Lindsey’s charm and wedding ideas. We talked with Lindsey on the phone and were excited both with the service package that she drafted for our needs as well as with her fun attitude and personality. We could tell that Lindsey would be really great to work with. From the first planning sessions Lindsey presented great ideas that were really in line with our vision for our wedding: Rustic but Elegant.
    There were several logistical aspects to overcome with our venue such as how to turn what was really a gravel driveway into the beautiful ceremony site we were envisioning (and that it became!). The day before the wedding the servers we were slatted to work with fell through and Lindsey miraculously arranged another service team that were amazing and even under budget. Lindsey handled it so well that we never even knew this snafu had occurred until after the fact. Lindsey arranged with the rental company to allow us to take chairs and equipment from the venue to use the next day at an in-home post wedding breakfast we hosted for our guests. Lindsey met with our vendors at the wedding site numerous times to work out lighting and catering details. During the reception, when the girl’s bathroom had a sudden plumbing issue, Lindsey was there while the rest of us were unaware of the problem.
    Lindsey truly became part of the family and was always a calming presence when needed as well as just as excited as we were to make the wedding be the greatest day.

    I hired Lindsey as my day-off planner and could not have been more happy working with her. Despite being focused on day-of, she had helpful tips, feedback and reached out proactively to help me for several months leading up to my wedding. Once it got closer we had weekly calls to check-in on everything. In addition, she went ahead and helped me manage all of my vendor relationships and timeline for the day-off.

    She was extremely fun to work with - it felt more like working with a friend. She was laid-back, but extremely organized, friendly, very attentive and had great creative ideas. She was extremely helpful thinking of solutions when I was struggling with someone and giving advice when I was having trouble with decisions. She was totally open to me changing my mind on things and was right there with me every step of the way. I also really appreciated her responsiveness by phone and email. I always felt she was by my side which helped me stay calm thoughout the entire process.

    Lindsey and her team were amazing. I loved having calls with them every other week. That helped ensure that everything was on track and it allowed to get all my questioned answered. On day of she was super relaxed which helped me stay relaxed. I was extremely confident that they were handling everything so I could just sit back and enjoy my day. When my groom and I needed anything she jumped in to help. We really appreciate them and they helped ensure that everything went smoothly.

    I chose L'Relyea Events for my intimate destination wedding. Lindsey and her staff made our day a success. The most valuable service provided was the venue scouting. We planned the entire wedding in Sonoma California at our home in Indiana. The first time I saw our venue was the day before I got married and it was absolutely perfect. I was very impressed with the recommended vendors. The venue, caterer, and rental company all had good relationships and worked together seamlessly. The design services provided by L’Relyea events were well tailored to my vision for the event. At the last minute, Lindsey did an excellent job of coordinating everything. A flight was canceled on our trip to Sonoma County, which caused my fiancé and me to arrive a day late. I thought it would be a disaster because we had appointments to finalize everything that day, but they rescheduled our appointments for us.

    Lindsey was wonderful. When we found Lindsey, we were going to try and run the event ourselves. The idea was to just have her help with the ceremony. After meeting her, there was no doubt she was the woman to be in charge of our wedding. She was gracious and professional. All of our guests express the wedding was one of the best they had been to. Our day was perfect. Lindsey had every detail covered and thought out. We could not have done it without her.

    Lindsey was great. She went out of her way to make our wedding in Calistoga perfect. She is extremely friendly, organized and willing to help in any way possible. Lindsey has great/sophisticated taste and knows a lot about Napa Valley and how to throw a great party there.

    I would definitely recommend choosing Lindsey to be your wedding planner!

    We hired Lindsey as a partial planner for our wine country wedding last fall. We are thrilled that we did. Planning was an extra challenge as we live on the east coast, but Lindsey made it all work. She was great about being available for super long cross-country conference calls to discuss the details. She has a wonderful vision and helped make our dream wedding a reality. She also knows all the key vendors, which made a huge difference when we were negotiating contracts. Lindsey definitely makes a point of getting to know her clients so she can make sure that their big day reflects who they are. Aside from saying "I do," the most magical part of our wedding day by far was seeing the reception room at Solage for the first time. The "big unveil" was just magical. Every detail that we'd so long envisioned was executed flawlessly. It was sheer perfection thanks in no small part to Lindsey and her team!

    We hired Lindsey as our day of coordinator. We live out of town on the East Coast so it was very helpful to have a local planner that could help us find the best vendors to meet all of our wedding needs. Lindsey made it very easy on us by sending over a couple options and helping us narrow down to the best fit. Lindsey and team did a great job coordinating each of the vendors and setting up the wedding on the day of to be exactly what we envisioned. We did have to be a bit more hands-on than expected to stay on top of final details and chasing follow-ups. However, it all came together in the end.

    Overall, working with Lindsey was a good experience and I would recommend her for coordinating your wedding in Sonoma/Napa!

    disappointing experience, don't recommend

    I would NOT recommend Lindsey relyea as a wedding planner. Unfortunately our entire experience was extremely disappointing. She made many careless mistakes throughout the entire planning process. She missed our very first call which should have been a red flag, but I didn’t think much of it because I know everyone makes mistakes. This unfortunately was just the tip of the iceberg. Part of her job description is reviewing contracts for you from vendors but almost every contract she sent me had multiple errors and unnecessary charges. It was very clear that Lindsey was not trying to save any of our money or stick to our budget. When I would bring these mistakes up to her, it was clear by her response that she hadn’t reviewed any of the contracts.

    Part of her job is to suggest vendors for us, since we were doing our wedding at my parents vacation home and we live in Texas, we relied heavily on her for all vendors suggestions. It seemed like she had a VERY strong preference for vendors she was used to working with despite some of them being very expensive. When I asked her for catering suggestions she sent me ONE caterer and told me how amazing they were and really thought I should just go with them. I explained to her that that would not work, I needed at least one other caterer to compare them to. She was able to find me one other caterer and after both tastings we chose the second caterer. They were much more reasonably priced and the food was just as good. There were multiple times where this occurred with vendors, it was extremely frustrating as a bride, it felt like I was pulling teeth trying to get other vendor suggestions from her that weren’t her “regulars”

    It really felt like Lindsey was working for the vendors and not for us. One of our vendors made a mistake in one of the quotes they sent us and 4 weeks before the wedding Lindsey told us we would have to pay an additional $2,500 for this addition, like it was our fault for their mistake. Instead of representing us and telling the vendor they would have to eat that cost since it was their mistake, she tried to make us pay. After a heated discussion with her and us refusing to pay for their error, the vendor did end up taking that cost off at the end. It really felt like Lindsey had their side on everything and we should just be thankful that we were able to use them during the “busy season”

    One thing I did like is we would have a call every 2 weeks starting 6 months before the wedding but it seemed like Lindsey didn’t work on anything we talked about until an hour before our call. Often times I wouldn’t hear anything form her for 2 weeks and then 30 minutes before our call she would send me multiple contracts or emails to review, which was very frustrating since I was jumping on the call right after work.

    The last week before our wedding was an absolute nightmare. We had an entire outdoor wedding without a wedding plan because it hadn’t rained in California in September in 10 years and the tent Lindsey quoted us in the begging was $67,000 HA! And as luck may have it, there was rain in the forecast. We told Lindsey about this and she started looking for an outdoor tent, after a few hours she told my mom there was no tent within 500 miles and the only one she found may or may not be available. So my mom started doing her own research, (which I wish we would have done from the beginning) within an hour she found a pretty outdoor clear ten for $8,000. Because this wasn’t one of Lindseys “preferred” vendors, she was incredibly rude to the guy supplying the tent, making all of these demands so he would work around her vendors. He told my mom if we weren’t so desperate for this tent, he would refuse to bring the tent because of how rude Lindsey was to him.

    The final straw was multiple people in our wedding party telling me how rude she was to them the day of our wedding. They said it was very clear that she didn’t want to be there. I even had some of my bridesmaids offer to write a negative review for her because of how she acted that day.

    I interviewed a few wedding planners and even though Lindsey was the most expensive, I chose her because I felt like she had a lot of experience with private estate weddings. My suggestion would be to use the $9,000 she charges into something or someone more valuable.
