  Great Space, Welcoming and Responsive

  Disclaimer: We ended up not choosing Luce Loft (a little too small) or Luce on Kettner (a little too big) BUT we highly recommend reaching out to both spaces for a tour as our experience during viewing was very welcoming and great. They really helped us envision how our wedding would look and what they could help you on.
  
  Luce Loft would be great for an intimate wedding, and Luce on Kettner great for a big bash. Luce on Kettner is also brand new so facilities reflect that in terms of the dressing rooms, catering rooms, bathrooms, etc. Highly recommend!

  Beautiful Modern Venue and Amazing Team!

  I absolutely love this venue! As someone who works in the wedding industry, I knew I wanted something aesthetically pleasing but also practical for our wedding venue. Our guests thought the setting was so perfect for us and also loved the central downtown location to explore. The whole team has great communication and has been so kind and accommodating during the whole process. We even had to move our wedding date and they made it beyond easy. Would highly recommend any of Luce Loft's venues!

  Amazing Space!

  Big open Loft for the perfect small or medium size wedding we loved the location right in downtown SD. The owner and management was very easy to work with. They have a list of vendors they have worked with before to jump start our planning. The best part is the space is completely open so we where free to create our own look with the tables and chairs that we rented. The inside is so unique itself we really didn't have to do much decorating which helped with our budget.

  I'm in love with Luce Loft! I'm convinced that we couldn't have found a more magical place for our wedding reception. You have the freedom to create whatever vision you have on any kind of budget. I didn't think it was possible to do a wedding under 10k, but Zack and Alie made it possible for us. They were extremely easygoing, accommodating, responsive, and genuinely nice people. I don't have enough good things to say about this space. I wish I could relive every moment.

  My husband and I are so glad we had our wedding at Luce Loft. The downtown location is close to a lot of hotels for out-of-town guests and the building itself is so unique! Their team is extremely responsive and professional. If you are looking for day-of-coordination, check out Alie at Soirees with Grace. She is a wonderful coordinator that works exclusively with Luce Loft.

  My husband and I are so happy we had our wedding at Luce Loft! We were drawn to the raw look of the space which makes this venue truly unique. Our guests commented on how they loved the romantic and intimate feel of the venue throughout the night. The team at Luce Loft was awesome to work with as well! Zack and Alie were very professional, helpful and responsive to the many questions we had. The day of our wedding went smoothly too; Shawnta was the venue manager that night and was great! We were able to accommodate 135 guests and did a buffet style dinner which was set up in the connected J Suite (that extra space is also a huge plus). We hope to attend another wedding or event at Luce Loft in the future!

  Referred me to an awesome wedding coordinator; they were super easy to work with. Con: many of the photos of the venue show candles which they no longer allow. I chose this place because I loved the ambiance which candles can add a lot to. They were unflinching in being able to use them and i had to rent tacky electric ones. Their excuse? it would drain their air conditioning. LAME

  We had our wedding at luce loft and it was absolutely beautiful! The space was complimented over and over from our guests! Alie and Zack were amazing to work with and made it a breeze. Couldn’t love this place more!

  Luce was so helpful from start to finish when it came to our wedding. From my million questions before booking up until the day-of, I always felt confident that Luce was there for us. Alie was our day-of girl and she was helpful behind the scenes, and also just very chill, which I think is SO important during such a hectic time. Guests raved about the venue, our pictures came out beautifully, and I'd highly recommend ANYONE looking to get married at Luce!

We ended up going with most of their recommended vendors who knew the space really well and had great suggestions to fit our theme. Alie and Zach we’re both super helpful and quickly answered any questions we had. We could not have booked a better place!

  This is an incredibly unique space with a ton of flexibility which is what we were going for. We're a pretty laid back couple and the staff here is the same. We were able to easily transform the space into the wedding of our dreams. Every guest was happy and had a blast. Additionally we were approached by Alie who runs events at Luce to be our month & day-of coordinator. We weren't planning on hiring someone for this but we're SO glad we did. She handled our day expertly. Everyone in my family kept coming up to me saying how great she was. She kept me sane and our event running smoothly. Thank you to both Zack & Alie! What an amazing night!

  I could not have been more impressed with the staff of Luce Loft! Zach was always quick to respond to my emails throughout the planning process and Mariah was very sweet and handled a vendor mishap with grace. Love their open vendor policy, it helped us really work our budget without having to be tied into certain vendors. The venue was clean and in great condition. We received so many wonderful compliments from our vendors and guests about what a cool venue this was. We could not have been happier with our venue and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great, urban, unique venue.

  My husband and I held our wedding reception here on 6/1. When doing our research on venues, we knew the second we walked into this space, that this is where our reception needed to be. It is industrial, super close to the pulse of downtown San Diego, and has all the possibility in the world in allowing you to customize your event exactly the way you imagined.
  From the moment we decided to move forward, Zack (point of contact) was ready and available to answer all of our logistical questions as well as offer great advice on vendors and caterers that have done work in the space before. The space was affordable and it is yours for 24 hours, which helps with setting up and tearing down before and after your event. A parking structure is also located directly across the street and on our particular event, there was a Padre game, which forced us to complete with the parking a little bit but you can pre-purchase parking passes ahead of time.
  We had INCREDIBLE wedding planners (Beau & Arrow) who helped us envision the look and feel of the event and manipulated the space to reflect that. Luce Loft is essentially a blank slate that allows you to do whatever you want. We wanted ours to be a complete juxtaposition between masculine (industrial look and feel of the Luce Loft) while having soft and feminine touches (white draping with uplighting, beautiful white couches, and chairs). Catering can be tough but we opted for a food truck which is how a lot of events work at Luce Loft. We hired Curiosity Catering and it was a hit! The options were tray passed in tandem with offerings outside of the truck as well (if people wanted more of something). People couldn't compliment them or the food enough!
  The whole experience with Luce Loft, from start to finish, was incredibly unique - definitely NOT a traditional wedding reception. That was, however, EXACTLY what we were looking for in our wedding and our reception. Best of luck!

  We held our welcome reception at Luce Loft - we love this venue. It's an old carnation dairy factory and has a great industrial feel. You can completely customize the space based on your aesthetic. Our contact person with Luce Loft was extremely responsive and helpful. I would love to have another event here.

  Luce Loft was the perfect place for our reception! Zack was great to work with & very responsive to all my questions & emails. At Luce Loft you can bring in all your own vendors without getting penalized, which was so nice coming from a downtown venue. I would highly recommend Luce Loft for any event. All my guests loved the space too!

  We LOVED having our wedding at the Luce Loft. The venue is beautiful and unique and provide for a very intimate experience for us and our guests. We were able to host 100 people comfortably (despite needing to do a few room re-arrangements) and our guest had the BEST TIME!

We found the Luce Loft after some online research, as we were looking for a unique space in downtown San Diego that captured our love of the the city. Luce Loft is located in the old carnation building and they have done a wonderful job at leaving the history intact while adding modern industrial elements to make the space function. All correspondence with Zack and the entire LL team was exceptional and very professional. They allowed us to bring in our own vendors and they very responsive to any requests that we made.
