    Dream Wedding!!!

    THANK YOU CIERA! Ciera and her team made all of my/our dreams come true and more! We came with our ideas and Ciera executed it beyond our wildest dreams. It was such a magical and stress free weekend all thanks to her. The whole process was so much fun. We bounced ideas off each other, it was so great to have a planner who actual got your vision and then see it come to life. Having to build our entire wedding from the ground up including guest transportation, food, cakes, band, decorations, bathrooms ect out to Cement Creek Ranch was a huge task and Ciera crushed it! Ciera did all the contacting and arranging! It was so nice to have a planner that did it all with great communcation. We highly recommend Lucky Penny Events if you want something different and original!

    Fun, personalized, laid back yet professional.

    We thought of ourselves as low-key wedding people, but soon realized (once our parents guests lists rolled in on top of ours) that our event was growing beyond our scope of knowledge. As another local to the valley, Ciera understood where we were coming from and knew how to execute the laid back mountain wedding we were looking for while still making it the event of the year for all 170 of our guests. She's right on top of all of today's wedding trends (and seems to be constantly seeking out new methods to style a wedding), and knew how to make sure out personalities came through without losing some of the traditions that our families wanted to see. She's the gal if you want to bring folks to the mountains and show them what it's all about.

    Ciera Freson, owner/operator of Lucky Penny Event Planning, was the wedding planner for our daughter's wedding. My daughter and I did the upfront planning, and she executed the weekend. She met with us periodically through the process and had systems in place to keep us on track - which was really helpful. But, when it came to the wedding weekend, I don't have enough good words to say about Ciera. She is super efficient. She's on top of every detail. When we passed the baton on the wedding weekend for her to take over, she went above and beyond our expectations. She even stepped in and filled in the gaps when one of our vendors fell short. And - to top it off - she's super fun and a delightful person to work with. I highly recommend Ciera!

    Ciera is such a joy to work with. Her personality is easy-going and upbeat, but she is so very organized and talented when it comes to pulling the wedding together. She gave us great recommendations for vendors and provides a user-friendly planning platform to keep us all organized and on the same page leading up to the event. I honestly do not know how we could have pulled this wedding off without her! She and her assistant, Shelby, took care of everything on the day-of and kept things running smoothly so that we could relax and enjoy our wedding day. Before our wedding, people kept telling me to be prepared that something always goes wrong at weddings -- but there was not a single issue during our wedding and reception, and I attribute that to Ciera. She works so hard and is a pleasure to be around. Ciera: Thank you so much for the incredible weekend!! I agree with other reviews that she is worth every single penny.

    Ciera with Lucky Penny Event Planning is an absolute must for any event you have coming up! She nailed our wedding at the Town Ranch Event Center in Crested Butte to the tee – and made it the most special and memorable day that we could possibly ask for.

    From our very first meeting, we felt like old friends. Over the months of planning, Ciera guided us along the many thousand choices of vendors and details for a wedding, all while working within our tight budget. Her recommendations were spot on and we loved every single one of our vendors. She knew the right moments to step in to help us come to a decision, and when to just let our ideas simmer.

    In the days leading up the weekend and actual day of the wedding, we discovered what a workhorse she was! She perfected every detail tirelessly and tackled unforeseen circumstances (four straight days of pouring rain leading up to the outdoor wedding) like a pro! You would have thought she knew that was coming all along. She even added last minute aesthetic touches for our ceremony and reception that pulled the whole look together.

    Ciera was the most crucial component to us enjoying our time with friends and family. We had over 150 people fly in from all over the country for our wedding, and Ciera coordinated all the day-of set-up, timing of the events and ensuring all the elements of the wedding end up in the right place at the right time. Without us worrying over anything, she pulled together this magnificent event, and left us to enjoy the whole event effortlessly. Our family and friends independently remarked at what wonderful job she did and how seamless and magical the wedding and festivities unfolded.

    Ciera is really someone who “goes the extra mile” in everything she does and holds a high standard of perfection. She exudes professionalism, grace, style and humor in her event planning. We sincerely enjoyed working with her and would recommend her a hundred times over to everyone we know!

    Ciera was wonderful! She is extremely organized and easy to communicate with. We had a wedding with 150 people spread over two different locations with difficult travel directions between the two locations. Ciera was invaluable to us both on the day of as well as the weeks preceding the wedding.

    Ciera was very helpful with planning on the weeks leading up to the wedding. She was in constant contact with all of our venders and had all of the details figured out well in advance. Her experience showed daily as she was able to predict and plan for every aspect of the wedding well ahead of time. She did a great job of keeping us on track without coming off as "nagging". Her pre wedding timeline was spot on and extremely helpful.

    Ciera was also very helpful on the day of the event. Her calm yet authoritative demeanor served us well when there was crowd management that needed doing. She was always one step ahead of us and would have the next aspect of our event ready well in advance. She was able to smooth over small problems that came up on the day of without our help, therefor freeing us up to enjoy our event. In short she was perfect.

    I would absolutely recommend Ciera to anyone planning an event in the Gunnison area. She was a big part of the reason that our wedding was so perfect. Yeah Lucky Penny!

    Ciera was truly wonderful! I was struggling to find the appropriate vendors for our mountain wedding and Ciera rescued me. She helped me select vendors that were available in my price range and think outside the box to keep things in budget. The day of coordination was also amazing; I didn't have to worry about a thing even on a tight morning ceremony schedule. Even the guests were complimentary of Ciera's professionalism, organization and pleasantness. I couldn't have asked for a better day and Ciera really made that happen.

    Ciera did such an amazing job from the very first phone call (and unexpected package) to the night of the reception. Her "to-do" list was great and helped me stay on task and feel like I knew what I was doing in planning the largest party of my life. She was always a phone call or email away to answer any questions I had and that was a great security. On the wedding day.... what didn't she do? She was there first thing in the morning to guide the groom and groomsmen to get their part of set up done, help myself and all of the bridesmaids decorate, cue us as to when we had to leave for our hair appointments and finished the decorating when I was "kicked out" so I could enjoy the day. It was so great having her there because the decorating literally would not have gotten done without her. I should note that there was a pretty strong storm that rolled through the afternoon of our outdoor wedding, which would leave any bride nervous and close to tears. She was was outstanding in contacting me, letting me know it would all work out and discussing with me the back up plan if it was still raining. Luckily it stopped raining, she made a few quick fixes that the rain and wind caused, and all went well - we got married! She did so many things to keep the ceremony going smooth - like cuing people when to walk down the aisle and playing music - plus so many other things that I cant even remember. After that, she was behind the scenes, got everything done (even lighting the 150+ candles on the tables). She really did so much work and was so affordable that anyone would be crazy to do this alone!

    Ciera was absolutely amazing! While decorating for the event (which she helped with) everyone was coming up to the bride and myself (mother of the bride) asking where things are, where do things go, things were getting very stressful, she stepped in and took control and relieved the stress from us. She stayed calm, happy and very helpful throughout the entire event, she was a total life saver!! Ciera is also very creative and organized, I don't think there's anything she can't do.

    Worst professionalism I’ve ever worked with

    Took our 2k deposit almost a year ago and then ghosted us until 12 days before our wedding. 3 days before our wedding, she cancelled our meeting that we’ve been trying to set with her for months. We drove a complete state over to meet with her before our wedding day and drove two hours to her hometown to meet with her for her to cancel. Then we take meeting over the phone later that day for her to not know anything that is going on. Not even the location or details of anything when all of that is in the app that she had us use to plan that she has access to. Wrong rentals were delivered for the day of, some rentals didn’t even show that were paid for. I could write a novel for everything that went wrong with this vendor and it was a nightmare working with her. So much added stress when her main job as a coordinator is to relieve the stress. DON’T HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

    Thank you for your feedback Jordan. There are a number of things I want to clarify. The first being you hired Lucky Penny Event Rentals for your rentals. Lucky Penny was not hired as your wedding planner or coordinator. Our rental policy is to work with you on your desired rentals, request a 50% deposit to hold your items and your remaining balance and update to any quantities are due 10 days before your event. I have 63 email exchanges between you and Lucky Penny over the previous year, not to mention a number of text messages. I do not understand how you feel you were ghosted with this communication. We were very flexible with your order, and allowed you to completely scrap your original rental order and built a new order, twice. We understand your plans changed a number of times, due to COVID and we tried to keep up the best we could with your numerous venue changes. I did indeed verify the correct address the day prior to delivery as you hinted there was a reception location change and you were not sure what address you had given me. I did also ask for detailed directions to your ceremony site since there is no cell service, there was no one on location to confirm the location nor had I received detail directions prior. Finally, looking through your order just now, everything indeed was delivered as listed on your rental order. I, the owner of Lucky Penny, hand delivered everything myself. If you continue to have issues with this fact, please let’s discuss because I would be more than willing to refund something that was not delivered. I’m sorry you are so disappointed with Lucky Penny. We went out of our way by giving you access to our software that only our planning clients get, I drove your flowers to both your ceremony and reception site on wedding day free of charge and I stayed to help your family setup the table setting – Lucky Penny Event Rentals did try our best to release as much stress as possible. I’m sorry to have not met your expectations.
