Mother of the Bride here! We had our DIY wedding and reception at Lumi in April of 2024 and it was a smooth experience all the way around. From the beginning of planning, Ariana and her team made everything easy! We live about an hour an a half away, and every time we needed to come look at the venue for planning it was no problem. They were super flexible and allowed us to bring items in early the day before to store before set up began which was a huge help! We ended up using the tables and chairs that Lumi had which worked out great...no need to rent! Lumi also has a dark wood bar that blended in perfectly and saved us from having to rent from an outside source. The natural light coming into the venue was beautiful and the floor length cream velvet curtains made for a gorgeous backdrop. We held our cocktail hour during the flip between ceremony to reception downstairs in the Bham District Brewery courtyard and it worked out perfectly for guests to just walk downstairs and mingle while the team upstairs (help from Decore to Adore) did our flip in less than 45 minutes! Ariana was on site during our event to make sure all was going smoothly. It was truly the most perfect experience and I would highly recommend Ariana and Lumi for your event. -

Brand Launch Party
It was a true joy to work with Lumi as the host venue for my brand launch! I love that the space has character and personality, which beautifully complimented the bright vibes for my party. The Lumi staff are such kind and genuine people, making the full experience stress-free and a welcoming space to host an event. I am the mother of the bride and all I can say is my daughter has said, "It was absolutely perfect!" Ariana, the owner, was a dream to work with. She ensured that my daughter's vision was made into her reality (which is a tall order because the bride is a former events director that has created events for Oprah, LeBron James, Leo DiCaprio and the like). Ariana, even insured that my 102.5 yo cousin was easily able to get in/out of the venue. It's a beautiful canvas that you can create your on AWESOME experience in!Lumi's reply:

Would definitely recommend!! Beautiful!
This venue is absolutely perfect! Yes, it's a blank canvas, but with the rustic, industrial style, less is more. It doesn't take much to decorate the venue because the layout, style, and lights is decor in itself. There is even a setup for the bartender. The location makes for great photo ops! The owner, Ariana, is awesome! She and her husband were a big help with everything from answering all of my questions to even pitching in with the setup. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend this venue!Lumi's reply:

We absolutely loved working with Lumi for our event! Ariana and the Mosaic staff were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the planning and execution of the event. The space was beautiful and the large windows definitely added to the ambience. Ariana even shared the name of their hand soap with me after the event just because I loved it! Perfect space for Business events
The Birmingham Business Journal selected LUMI to host a lunch business event. The space is beautiful and spacious with lots of natural light. The staff was very helpful and easy to find when we needed them. We truly will host another event at this space.Lumi's reply:

Great for live dance performance
LUMI was the beautiful backdrop for our company’s 20th anniversary modern dance performance. We could not have asked for a better space. Lovely walls and atmosphere and gracious host.Lumi's reply:

I chose LUMI for the location, architectural details, and the flexibility to hire my own vendors. Ariana was lovely and communicated quickly and professionally. There is a brewery downstairs and does have a little sound leakage, but the staff is great and accommodating. I would recommend having an earlier ceremony in this location if the sound leakage is something you're concerned about. A reception with a band or dj would cover anything you'd hear from the bar.Lumi's reply:

We are working on sound proofing the floors for our earlier events or quiet after sunset events. The brewery has heavier traffic earlier in the evening but by normal reception time with an event Dj/band, any buzz from downstairs is easily washed out. -
