Lydia is a great photographer. She did our engagement shoot, my bridal photos, and our wedding. She is very relaxed, but also professional. We felt like we were with a friend. (Especially during the engagement shoot) This made it carefree and fun during the shoot. The photos also came out great. We are super stoked to see our wedding photos in a few weeks. Also, her work is fantastic. The moment we saw her photos from when the power went out at a wedding she did, we knew she was perfect. You would have never known because they looked so good. Finally, if you need a photobooth-get it from her! The quality of those were perfect! One of the better booths that we have gotten to use. -
Summer Sent on 01/11/2018Selecting Lydia as our photographer was the best vendor choice we made. We loved working with her for our wedding, but when we saw the final pictures we could not believe we were so lucky to have her commemorate the day. We received a sneak preview slide show of our photos from Lydia that brought my husband and I, as well as our families to tears! We wanted a lot of candidates of the day and not as many posed photos. Lydia was so amazing that most of our guests didn’t notice her, yet she capture unplanned moments that are beautiful (a photo of me kneeling to show my grandmother my ring, our wedding party dancing down the aisle, family members giving long lost friend’s hugs, an impromptu dip during our first dance...and so much more). Our posed photos were just as beautiful! A friend used Lydia a few years ago and recommended her - we won’t be recommending anyone but Lydia. We want to have another event just to have her photograph it for us! Seriously, don’t consider anyone but Lydia! (PS our wedding was in Dallas and her photos far exceed all of the photos we’ve seen from Dallas friends.)

Highly recommend Lydia! Our wedding photos were beautiful and she was super easy to work. We received the link with all our photos about a month after our wedding. We have gotten so many compliments on the pictures; so glad she captured the memories for us! -

Lydia is INCREDIBLE. We booked her for engagement and wedding photos, and she did not disappoint. Even with an outdoor wedding and rainy conditions, she found creative ways to give us beautiful and lasting memories of the day. Five years later we booked her for fall minis, and she is still the same excellent professional she was for our wedding.
It doesn’t hurt that she has an amazing sense of humor and takes the time to get to know her clients well in order to answer their specific needs. I cannot recommend her enough. -

Brittney Sent on 06/17/2015It was almost like the stars aligned when the Facebook Gods suggested an advertisement for Lydia Royce Photography on my newsfeed. After researching dozens of wedding photographers and reading their bios, and crying after seeing their price list, I was ready to give up. Then there she was, quoting Ron Burgundy and confessing that her apartment actually smelled like cheese dip instead of rich mahogany. Outside of her being a Sooner fan, my husband and I were convinced we had found the RIGHT photographer for us.
Lydia has an eye for capturing moments. REAL LIFE MOMENTS. As much as I scrolled through Pinterest for hours and pinning gorgeous wedding pictures that I just HAD to recreate on my wedding day! Lydia blew all of those out of the water because she captured me and my husband in our most genuine state. We're a silly, dog loving, beer drinking, rowdy couple. And when we look back at our wedding photos, we will remember the EPIC party we threw to celebrate the love that we have for each other.
I can't wait to wall paper my house with the work of Lydia Royce Photography.

It was always easy to contact Lydia and from our first Skype meeting I knew she was the photographer we needed. Not only did she work with my incredibly goofy husband, she embraced our furbabies in the wedding. We will be using Lydia for every major milestone and have recommended her to all of our friends. If you want a photographer who treats you like a friend, not just a client, Lydia Royce is 100% the photographer for you.

She did my bridal photos as well as our wedding, and we were getting compliments for days from our wedding guests saying how much they liked her! She had such a great attitude, it seemed like she was having as much fun as we were! She was laid back and so down-to-earth. She didn't even kill me when I moved my bridal photos due to a "hair disaster" (saying it even makes ME roll my eyes!), and when I emailed her, freaking out, when I thought I would have to move them AGAIN. She was extremely responsive any time I contacted her, which is actually more unusual than you would expect in the wedding industry! Our photos are amazing and I am overjoyed to have them to look at for the next 50(+) years!
Note: we hired Lydia as a contractor through George Street Photo. If I had to do it all over again, I would ABSOLUTELY hire her again, but I would contract with her directly instead of through George Street. -

We went with Lydia because we liked the quality of her work that we found online. Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. We were unhappy with the quality of the engagement photos that she took and decided to politely end our contract and go with a different photographer for our wedding. Then Lydia deleted our photos before the contract said that she was allowed to, so we ended up paying $750 for engagement photos that we never received.Lydia Royce Photography's reply:
Rachel, I’m sorry you were dissatisfied with your experience. I pride myself on customer service, and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to meet your expectations.
When you first contacted me I warned that we might not be the right fit but you insisted on booking anyway. You paid a $750 retainer to reserve your wedding date on my calendar. Your collection included an engagement session and online image storage for one year.
When it came time to do your engagements, I was given zero creative control and you wanted your session centered around a rather odd prop. None of my portfolio is theme or prop based, but nevertheless we went forward with the session. When I delivered the photos you were dissatisfied and decided to cancel your contract for services.
Many months went by and you reached out to me and said “This is awkward, but my laptop died. Can you resend my photos?”, which I no longer had. I purge old files twice a year to keep my drives cleaned out, and I had no plans to use yours for my portfolio, so they were discarded.
When you cancelled your contract, your duty to pay for my services ended, just like my duty to provide services, including image storage. It seems as though you are unhappy because you wanted a one sided cancellation, where you don’t owe anything further, but I do.
It’s unfortunate that you chose not to back up your images. I’m sorry that I didn’t continue to indefinitely store your photos that you disliked. I hope you were able to find a photographer that was a better fit for you.
