  I used Made By Anatomy for my bridal gown alterations, and I would use Ali all over again if I could! From start to finish, I had full confidence in Ali and her team to make my dress fit like a glove and they hit the nail on the head! I was nervous the points in my dress with the deep V neck would crease and bend, but Ali was able to make sure that wouldn't be the case after two trials. She is magic and a sweetheart! I knew I was in love when at my first appointment, the simple gesture of unwrapping my wedding heels out of the box and helping me put them did not go unnoticed. It is little details like that that truly make a bride feel special

  A Joy to work with

  Joy took my circa 1984 wedding dress and turned it into an absolutely gorgeous cocktail dress for my daughter to wear at her rehearsal dinner. It was an amazingly fun project and Joy lives up to her name, she was a delight. She also tailored my daughter’s wedding dress expertly and created a perfect bustle for her. Wonderful work!

  Incredible team!

  Joy & Ali make an incredible team!
  I reached out to them in a panic: my Hayley Paige dress was stuck in Canada, it needed to be altered & I had no idea when it would arrive. INSTANTLY on the phone Ali put me at ease. I had to change my initial appointment because my dress had not arrived & Ali and Joy assured me we would be fine.
  Once I received my dress and went to my initial fitting Joy again put me at ease when she said she's worked on my exact gown before!
  Over the course of 3 fittings - cups were added, straps were shortened & all 8 layers of my dress were shortened as well!
  AND THATS NOT ALL!
  We even had a mask and Groom's tie made out of the scrap material from my dress! (let's be honest, did you even have a 2020 wedding if there's no mask?!)
  Ultimately, I'm happy that the borders remained closed and I was unable to get my dress altered at the shop where I purchased it. I'm thrilled I had the opportunity to work with these ladies and would encourage anyone looking for alterations or something a little more custom to check them out!
  
  EDIT TO ADD: Follow-up service was incredible too! (Not shocked!) I received an email asking to leave feedback and they also wanted to see if I was interested in cleaning and perservation. AND picked up the dress from me AND will do a minor repair before cleaning (because I danced the night away and had a small rip).

  Ali and Joy did a fantastic job with the modifications, repairs and alterations on my daughter's wedding gown. The gown came in with a defective zipper that Ali replaced- twice! She then created a detachable train/bustle that truly made it a one of a kind gown! And on top of that she personally delivered the finished gown to our hotel suite at the venue the week of the wedding. She went above and beyond to give my daughter the gown of her dreams.

  Made by Anatomy is an experience like no other. I came to Ali with an idea for a crop top wedding dress. She came up with several designs and lots of fabric options. It is such a special feeling to know that your wedding dress is completely unique and designed just for you. Ali is fun to work with, and it feels so special to have private consultations and fittings in their adorable shop.

  I bought a gorgeous designer gown direct from the designer herself for my wedding this past June. I was worried about finding someone that I could trust to do a great job on a very expensive gown, until I met Ali! She was an incredible professional and all around amazing person. Her alterations were done to perfection! I would trust her to do ANYTHING related to your bridal needs! She's a perfectionist and her work shows her incredible training and talent! Love this lady and her work!!

  I had my heart set on wearing my late grandma's dress, which hadn't been preserved and was quite a bit worse for the wear. I had taken it to a tailor in the Buffalo area before I'd heard of made by anatomy, and they attempted to clean it and called me saying it was hopeless. My matron of honor later found her Facebook page, and I saw she had a post about wedding dress restorations. I called to set up the appointment, and not once did she give me any doubt that she could fix the dress up; she was so reassuring. I was a bit wary due to my previous experience, but Ali is so talented and does such amazing work. It cleaned up beautifully and I feel so lucky that I found her shop. I have one more fitting but I know that the final results will be amazing. I know my grandma would be thrilled with it.

What was even better was that she was literally a minute away from where I work, so getting to her was also extremely convenient!
  
  My dress was made for someone a foot taller than me, with lots of ruffles on the bottom, but Ali worked her magic in her breathtaking studio to make it perfect for me. She made decisions about fit that were spot on, which goes to show her experience in designing dresses as well as altering, is top notch. She added on a custom belt that I had bought and positioned it perfectly.
  
  Without Ali, I wouldn't have had the beautifully tailored dress that I absolutely loved. She did a fantastic job in making me feel confident and beautiful on my wedding day, and super easy to fall in love with it in every single picture as well.

  This review is for a veil. I tried on many many veils and could not find what I was looking for at a reasonable price. Then one day I noticed that Ali had posted a picture of a handmade veil and I knew my search was over. Ali had made my friend an amazing rehearsal dinner dress so I knew I could trust her to make a beautiful veil. She really listened to what I wanted, looked at pictures of my dress and made helpful suggestions. I originally wanted a cathedral veil and she assured me that a chapel length was better. Obviously a longer veil costs more, so she could have easily let me go with my original thought, but she didn't. She knew I was traveling with my dress and offered to steam it for me after I tried on my veil. She was very responsive throughout the process given I live out of town and did most communication via email. She helped out with so many of our guests' alterations and steaming as well since everyone was staying at the Lafayette and everyone had great things to say about her. The veil turned out gorgeous - it was everything I wanted and I received numerous compliments on it. I originally thought my veil would be a scrap of fabric that I'd get rid of, but thanks to Ali I have a beautiful heirloom. I would definitely use Ali again in the future.
