  Misty was amazing

  Misty and her team were excellent. Misty was great at advising us on how to handle alcohol in cost-effective ways. She helped hook us up with a liquor distributor that allowed us to return what we didnt use which really helped us with saving money (especially because our wedding got shut down an hour early due to a broken pipe...but thats another story). Misty also was great in recommending more environmentally friendly options. We took her recommendation of giving our guests mason jars as their glass for the night which helped save us money and feel better about not putting one thousand plastic cups into the trash. Misty is great at what she does and would highly recommend her team at Maine Mixologist!

  Great to work

  Misty and crew were great! She recommended some great couples signature cocktails that were a hit, the team was professional, friendly and made the night (they even reserved a few of the last bottles of my favorite beer when they were running low :))

  Good Bar Service

  We enjoyed working with Maine Mixologist for our wedding. We were able to create a custom drink list for our guests and even incorporated imagery of our dog for one of the drinks. Due to how the bar service works, we were able to purchase the alcohol ourselves from a store in Portland which saved us a lot of money in the long run. Overall, very happy with our bar for the wedding.

  Misty and her team were great to work with! In the months leading up to our wedding, Misty was incredibly helpful, detailed, and thorough in making sure we had exactly what we needed for our big day! On our wedding day, we didn't have to think twice about the bar service! Everything - the set up, the friendly bartenders, the signature cocktails - was PERFECT. We can't thank you enough, Misty!

  Maine Mixologist was great!

  Misty and her team were great! My wife and I hired Maine Mixologist for our 150 person wedding on a local island (accessible by ferry). The Maine Mixologist team coordinated this seamlessly and provided incredible service during our wedding. Misty was also a great help planning the alcohol selection and purchase. We wanted to supply our own alcohol and Maine Mixologist made this possible. We'd highly recommend!

  Taking the wedding up a notch

  We had our wedding in August of 2021 and were overall very pleased with Mistry and her team. Misty took the time to do a Facetime with us and had a full staff ready to keep our guests hydrated and light on their feet for our wedding. We provided Mistry with the alcohol, but she helped staff our bar, provide us with water stands, ice, and servers for our tables (we had a caterer who couldn't staff and clear tables).
  
  This all said, our one note and critique is Misty's responsiveness. We at times leading up to the wedding would email 2-4 times to try and get ahold of her and didn't know our final estimate and price until 4 days before our wedding. I do think this is partially due to the crazy busy year they had and making up for 2020, but it was noticed and at times frustrating how hard it was to get ahold of her.
  
  We would still recommend the team for your wedding and think you will be very pleased!

  Great drinks, great service

  Using Maine Mixologist helped us save a lot of money on alcohol and the bartenders were phenomenal. The drinks were delicious and service was top notch. The planning process was smooth for the most part, but we did have some issues. The week of the wedding we were told they changed the recipe for one of our signature cocktails, after we had special ordered a mixer that we could not return. We were also pushed to buy a lot of Miller Lite, knowing our guests would not drink it. Sure enough, our guests did not drink it, but the bartenders had opened every case we purchased, meaning we could not return it. We were later told by friends who are bartenders that there was no reason to open so many cases of beer, especially since the bartenders were aware that we wanted to return things that weren’t consumed. I was also a little peeved that we paid for gratuities in our contract, and the bartenders put out tip jars anyway. Ultimately, we got what we paid for and our guests enjoyed the bar service, but definitely things for future brides to be aware of in your planning.

  Owner difficult

  This is a mixed review. Our bartenders were amazing and were really well versed in the custom drink mixes that we requested. That being said the owner of this business is difficult to deal with and doesn't like to listen to what the couple wants in the reception for beverages. Other than that the BARTENDERS were great at what they did and served efficiently and had a smile the whole night.

  Had a few problems with our wedding but overall service was good

  Bartenders themselves were amazing, however the owner/coordinator actually made a few mistakes. It seems that she doesn’t communicate with her bartenders or clients very well. On the wedding day they were scrambling asking us if we got the ice to make the cocktails when it was actually being delivered by them, but they had no idea. We met with her ahead of time to coordinate our signature drinks which were named after our dogs, however the bartenders had no clue what they were called. Again, not their fault. No limes for the Coronas which was a bummer at our summer wedding. We were also unable to make a clear budget because she wasn’t available via email or phone. We left voicemails and many emails and it took months to hear back. Very overpriced service for all the mistakes!!

  Nolan, I was surprised to get this review because I hadn't heard of anything negative from your event until this was posted. My staff enjoyed your day and they said it was a great success. I communicate with my staff thoroughly including detailed emails, message threads, and an in-person meeting prior to their departure. The ice question was to ask where the coolers were, not about you getting them. My ice company said they had been delivered but they couldn't find them. I always share with my staff the drinks they are making so they are prepared, but don't share the names of the drinks because that has no bearing on their ability to make the drink. They often find that out when they arrive. As far as the limes, anything you want us to serve is provided by you, including alcohol, mixers, and garnish. I do apologize for the slower than normal correspondence this year as this was a VERY abnormal year with the influx of emails from clients. I've now put people in place and have hired a bar manager for next year to assist if business continues to grow as fast as it has due to my excellent reputation in this industry. I wish you two nothing but the best and it was a pleasure working with you. -Misty
