I would not recommend Maite to plan your wedding. I am surprised to find here so many positive reviews as it was definitely not the experience we had with her. We were not a high maintenance couple, we are laid back and happily work with anyone. All of our other vendors were incredible, made our wedding fantastic and we had a wonderful experience with them. However, every single call and interaction I had with Maite, I felt like I was annoying her and several times she snapped at me - once she even called to apologize, but the behavior continued. In our calls, I wasn't even asking her to do anything, just asking for contacts and advice (she did very minimal work for us up until the wedding). She tried to get me to hire her friends, telling me I wouldn't find anyone cheaper than that - then I would do my own research and find a vendor of high quality that was less than half or 75% of what she said. By the time it came around to collect the responses to our invitations, I did not trust her to do it and communicate with me, so I did it myself.
When the day of the wedding came around, I was so glad that she brought another girl to do some things- Alexandra - and she was a delight. Alexandra was dressed appropriately in a floor length gown and handled each interaction with grace and a smile, opposite of Maite. It looked like it might rain a little bit and Maite was very stressed and rude to us and the photographer about it, even when we all were very happy and relaxed. She didn't count how many benches were set up for the ceremony, so there were about 20 people standing in the back for it, which was quite embarrassing. After the ceremony, my mom and sisters were trying to bustle my dress and Maite was telling them to hurry up so that we could do the introductions. She did this so many times that I just had the ribbons hanging out when we went out. I should have taken charge in that moment. Thankfully, it was Alexandra that introduced our party. She forgot to tell Alexandra to get my father and mother in law for our dances with them, so we missed out on those. After our wedding, I had to apologize to both our photographer and the venue people because she was so rude to them. To top it all off, she had the gall to take home the leftover film we had purchased for the instant cameras.
Overall, she was the most stressful part of our wedding and it made me really sad every time I had to interact with her. We ended up having a wonderful wedding thanks to all of our other vendors that were so fabulous and well organized and I can’t thank them enough, but I would highly not recommend Maite as she does not seem to enjoy the work or interacting with couples and vendors.
