Breathtaking Beyond Belief - Hollywood Production

Aaron and his team are without question the most amazing videographers in Hawaii. They have a unique way of ensuring that they are able to capture every moment of your special day without you even realising they are there. Afterwards the real magic happens and you will see them assemble an absolute masterpiece that resembles the promo of a Hollywood film. Could not recommend Makai Creative enough. Their work is breathtaking and will leave you impressed beyond belief. Absolutely magical work by Makai Creative far exceeded our expectations. Would give more than 5 stars if it was possible.

The wedding made us feel like rock stars, and the video is proof

Aaron really captured the feel from our wedding and teased us with a short video the day after the wedding and then scored two videos of raw footage and drone shots into a heart pounding video that we can watch over and over.

Makai Creative are AMAZING!

Makai Creative are the absolute best! My husband and I had the privilege of booking Makai Creative for photography and videography for our wedding day this past September. Aaron and the entire team are outgoing, fun, talented, and very professional. They captured our special moments so perfectly and naturally, while making us feel relaxed. We are so so happy and stoked on how all our pictures came out! They are a great team to work with and their passion definitely reflects through their work. Makai Creative also goes above and beyond for you! We recently did a post wedding video shoot to supplement what we already have from our wedding. Aaron was a dream to work with! Right from the very first communication he was very approachable and accommodating with our wedding film requirements. It isn’t easy planning a destination wedding and Makai Creative was extremely helpful and collaborated with us on our music backing choices and style of cinematography. Aaron always kept us in the loop regarding creative choices for our film and our video Skype call was exactly what we needed to ensure we were on the same page prior to the big day. On the day of our wedding they arrived promptly and directed us into shots we would never have thought of, Aaron made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. His passion towards getting the shot and correct angle was incredible! Even with a little rain on the day he persisted to capture that perfect shot; which has really shone through in the final wedding film. The drone footage was simply breathtaking. We were able to see footage from the wedding in such a short time frame and the guests simply loved the heart warming wedding trailer. Aaron was truly amazing on our wedding on the 19th August 2018 and we could not have asked for a more friendly videography team to work with. 5 stars - Makai Creative's work is simply magic and we look forward to reliving the wedding day over and over again! I cannot speak highly enough of Aaron and Makai Creative! Not only is he the nicest person ever, he is super talented, professional, and accommodating. He went above and beyond making sure he understood our vision, and was SO amazing on the day - he even sent us some previews incredibly quickly. He spent time with the boys filming a paddle out in the morning, and then made sure to stay for the dancing in the evening. His artistic ability is amazing, and I am blown away already by the result. We now feel as though he is a friend and will stay in contact with him to meet up any time we return to Hawaii.

We used his colleague Emily Turner for our photography, and she was incredible as well! Her pictures are artistic and beautiful, and she captured all of the important moments - not to mention the guests loved both her and Aaron.
I would highly recommend using Makai creative to ANYONE who wants a wonderful experience start to finish on their wedding day.

My wife and I couldnt be more complimentary about Aaron and his work. His wedding films are incredible. We are so pleased with them. Just watch some of his previous work to convince yourself. After meeting Aaron its so clear that his videography is a true passion and this comes through in the film he produced for us. For anyone who is in two minds about whether to get a video produced in addition to a photographer, you have to speak to Aaron and watch his videos. I'm sure you will decide to proceed and wont regret it.

Makai Creative was the best thing we did at our wedding besides get married. From our initial consultation to the delivery of our wedding film, Aaron was incredibly professional--responding to emails within hours, answering any and all questions, and helped us plan things out to get the very best product. When people say your wedding goes by quickly--that is No. Joke. There were so many things we missed but luckily got on film--something that we will cherish forever. Trusting Makai Creative to capture all the love we felt that day was the just the best decision and I am so grateful that we took that leap.

Amazing Mountaintop Elopment

Having Makai Creative provide videography and photography on my wedding day is something I will forever be grateful for!

My husband I and decided to elope in Hawaii. Since none of our family or friends would be present for the big day, we thought it would be nice to have a video to show everyone when we returned home (plus it's sentimental and wonderful to have for us). I came across Makai Creative and was extremely impressed by Aaron's communication, care and dedication. At first we figured we would get married at a beautiful spot on the beach or somewhere at our hotel (Turtle Bay, which was amazing), something along those lines. After speaking with Aaron, he had so many amazing ideas! After discussing more in depth about what my husband and I envisioned for the day and what we enjoy doing, he offered some really creative suggestions. Since it was only going to my husband and me, he suggested something more adventurous, like a hiking a mountain to a beautiful spot or taking a helicopter to a mountaintop for the ceremony. Things we never would've considered before. We decided to go the helicopter to a mountaintop route, and ended up having the most amazing and memorable elopement we could've hoped for!

Aaron and Emily were both so helpful in all of the coordinating and planning for the helicopter and day itself. They continuously went above and beyond from beginning to end. The finished product that they provided for both the video and photos are absolutely breathtaking (honestly some of the best work I've ever seen from a videographer and photographer). With that said, I can't say it enough that I'm so thankful I had them for our wedding day. If you want a wonderful experience and a beautiful way to reflect on your day forever, you shouldn't hesitate to hire Makai Creative!

When we met with Aaron (Makai Creative), we came forth with the idea of "Adventure," since my Wife and I are always on the go to explore and discover new experiences. He delivered just that, with our cinematic short. Aaron is passionate for this craft, and is in a constant hunt for "the shot." Throughout the wedding, he and his team were constantly at the right spots at the right time, whether it be on the drone, gimbal, or monopod/tripod. He's very professional, timely with Email's, and quick with the delivery of the product. He care's about the quality of the content he is providing to the consumer, he put's his clients satisfaction first, and is not one who gears one's idea's for the sake of making his company more popular. I would not hesitate to mention Makai Creative to anyone who is looking for a unique Videographer/Photographer for their event.

Aaron, emily and the crew did such a wonderful job. They were an absolute pleasure to work with! I really wanted to have a photo and video team that would capture our wedding and evoke the same emotions as I felt the day of our wedding...and Makai Creative NAILED IT. We got a preview reel and a few photos literally 5 minutes after we stepped off the property of the wedding venue. They were so fast! We had the rest of our photos and video in less than a month of our wedding. And they turned out AMAZING!!! Our guests have not stopped raving about our video and photos. Aaron was great to work with from day one. He answered all 945092835 of my questions and listened to everything we wanted in our video. He had a vision, we had a vision, and when he put it all together, our wedding video turned out amazing. We have gotten so many compliments about our day after teaser and out wedding video. The drone shots are to die for.

He is very responsive and has a very quick turnaround. We received our full wedding highlight video before we even got back from our honeymoon! It was THAT fast and THAT good.

But what I appreciated most about Aaron's work is his approach to his clients. Having a destination wedding and having never met him, he treated us like he's known us forever. He gave us recommendations on places to go and things to see in Hawaii. He gave us great direction every step of the way. He truly captured the essence of who we are and the night. Awesome job, Aaron!

I highly recommend the Makai Creative team. You will not regret it.

Absolutely wonderful! We hired Makai Creative to do the Videography at our wedding very early in our planning process. About one week before the wedding, we asked them to also add on a same day edit video to be shown at the reception. It was phenomenal! Even though it was late notice, Aaron & his team gave us the most beautiful same day edit. All of my guests were impressed and all of the people that couldn't make it to our wedding were so happy to see the same day edit since it made them feel like they were able to be a part of our special day. We are so happy to have hired them and can't wait to see our full length video. Thank you so much Makai Creative!

I found Makai Creative (Aaron) by chance when I was googling wedding ideas for our particular venue. Once I saw Aaron’s work, I knew I had to have him for our wedding cinematography. Let his work speak for itself--all you need to do is just look at his website and/or Vimeo and you’ll be blown away. I was drawn to how Aaron was able to beautifully weave the couple’s/wedding/love story through breathtaking images, special speeches, and other moments. Other videographers seem to put together a collage of video together with music. I loved how Aaron was able to communicate a beautiful story.

From our first correspondence, I knew Aaron and his company was special. Before he even gave us a pricing sheet, he asked me to tell him more about my fiancé and me, how we met, what we like to do for fun. He was the only “vendor” to ask us about “us” – a sign from the very beginning that Aaron was really passionate about his work. He wanted to know about prospective clients before he booked with them. Not only that, but also he only books about one wedding a month in order to maintain quality work and a fast turnaround! That just shows you what kind of work ethic he has.

Aaron was a pleasure to work with. He is a really down-to-earth and friendly guy. I admired his work so much that I also trusted him with his photographer too so I went with a combo package. Aaron’s team was excellent! They were so easy to work with and very non-intrusive. We felt at ease and comfortable with them throughout. It was as if they weren’t even there. Within an hour of leaving the venue, Aaron sent us a sneak peek of the wedding video. He also sent a few professional photos. You can just tell he loves his job. We were so incredibly happy to have him and his team for our cinematography and photography!

Aaron was nothing short of amazing! We were talking for about a year before our wedding and every email I sent Aaron was very quick to reply. Any ideas we had he was more then happy to accommodate and work with. The day of our wedding, Aaron and his team arrived right on time and had a game plan already set for the images they would want to capture. We didn't have to worry about a single thing being missed and we knew every moment would be captured. His professionalism and flexibility definitely helped to relieve some stress since we didn't have to micro manage anything to do with the photos and videos of our wedding day. Through out the day whenever we had a new shot in mind, Aaron was very receptive to it and made the shot happen. We couldn't have been happier with our photos and video. Each shot is perfectly framed. Our wedding video is amazing. Its not your standard template of a video. Aaron truly took the uniqueness of our wedding date and captured that in our video. He has a great eye for different angles and how each shot will flow together in the final video. If you are still looking for a photo/video company for your wedding day then look no further. Aaron is your guy!

His style breaks all of the standard molds of a typical wedding video and instead he delivers a superior cinematic, romantic and heart felt video of your special day. I could not recommend Makai Creative enough!!
Aaron and his team are exactly who you want with you on your wedding to capture the special day. He's not only a great guy, but also professional and relaxed.
We had not initially considered having a videographer until we saw a video that Makai Creative had done of another wedding. We were blown away and knew we had to use them.
The same night of the wedding, Aaron sent us a teaser video and we fell in love it. The wedding video did not disappoint either and it is our most cherished possession from our wedding. We have now watched the video hundreds of times and are so happy we made the decision to have a video and from Makai Creative!

From the moment that we first began working with Aaron, we knew we had found someone special. He truly took the time to get to know us and hear our story, which was reflected in his final masterpiece that he created personally for us.

Aaron’s passion is evident and his artistic perspective is truly unique. His visions, from the romantic and intimate scenes he shot, down to the beautiful music that he chose to include—everything was perfect. He even went the extra mile of meeting with Eric a few days before our wedding to film segments that added those extra special touches to our videos. Our same-day edit video had all of our friends and family, present and far, in tears.

When we first got engaged we had a difficult time finding a videographer. Our photographer had mentioned about Makai Creative. When we saw the work of Makai Creative we immediately booked with them. Aaron and his team, from the get-go, were very professional and showed dedication to what they do best - capturing memories. He had this idea of incorporating baby clips of me in the same day edit. This turned out amazing! To this day our family and friends, including ourselves, have watched the same day edit numerous times and still have the same effect as when we first saw it on our wedding day. I hired Makai through my wedding planner. I have to say over all we are very happy with the highlights. There were some issues with what we were getting for our package but in the end everything turned out and we have a great video to watch for years to come.
