My experience was Aditi was amazing! I worked with her for my wedding and reception looks back in June. Prior to the day of the events, I also had a trial where we discussed what looks I wanted for my events and what would look good with my jewelry and makeup. Aditi is so friendly and so easy to get along with, which is extremely important when you have 2 back to back events and you’re super stressed out. She was so flexible and even let me sleep while she did my hair and makeup to let me get a nap in after running on almost no sleep. Aditi also worked with me to let me schedule a last minute grooming for my husband which made his photos look amazing as well. As for the makeup, I loved both of my makeup looks, they’re were just what I needed to complement my jewelry and outfit. The makeup stayed on the entire time without moving at all. Overall, working with Aditi was amazing and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a hair and makeup artist without having to deal with a big company. Soft glam radiant bridal hair and makeup
I was looking for soft glam bridal makeup suiting Indian skin and to make my hair look more voluminous since its fine. Aditi and her team Evelyn and Violet, were amazing from start to finish! The trials helped me finalize all the elements of the look so I didn't have to worry the day of. I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup and it stayed put the entire night with a lot of dancing and being outside for photos. They also got my bridesmaids and husband ready and everyone looked so good! Since this was my first time getting professional makeup, Aditi and Evelyn helped me figured out every detail and went above and beyond to make sure my bridal look was what I wanted. I first met Aditi at the bridal expo in Secaucus. From the moment we started my trial, Aditi made me feel so comfortable and explained everything she was doing! She gave me such great advice about skincare and the results were just so great! As someone who doesn’t wear makeup often I definitely had my doubts but Aditi’s warm presence and knowledge made the decision so easy to make! On my wedding day she really listened to my concerns and worked with me to give me the natural soft glam look I wanted. I would highly recommend Aditi to anyone looking for bridal makeup or really any occasion. -

I reached out to Aditi because I liked her minimalist approach to bridal looks - her brides look like elevated versions of themselves. However, I found working with her to be difficult and unpleasant, starting from the trial (saying my dry skin was the reason for the makeup looking bad) to finalizing the timeline of the services for my wedding events (errors in her invoices; not keeping track of what the timeline and dates were, etc.).
On the day of my wedding, Aditi called me and my wedding planner to let us know that she had a family emergency and needed to fly home immediately, and therefore would not be able to do my makeup that day. I completely empathize with this; she did the right thing to be with her family that day. She also said she would issue a refund for the services via text that morning. I want to be clear that my issue is not that Aditi had to cancel. Rather, my issue is that what Aditi ended up delivering that day through her assistant did not match what was in our contract and invoice - I ended up getting 1 makeup artist from her when we were supposed to get 2, and the time spent on the services that her assistant provided did not match up the time allotted per our invoice. When I reached out to Aditi regarding the refund we were due, we ended up in an uncomfortable conversation about the amount which was unfortunately not professional or showing any responsibility on Aditi’s end. While Aditi did end up providing a partial refund, it was not reflective of what we had agreed upon in our contract, and therefore I overpaid her for my wedding hair and makeup.
I am leaving this review not to be vindictive but to to let other brides know what kind of attitude to expect when dealing with this makeup artist.Makeup by Aditi's reply:
Unfortunately this review is not an accurate description of the events that transpired with the client's trial and the wedding.
Trial –
During the trial, the client asked the makeup artist to completely remove the uneven texture from their skin. This is an unreasonable request. The artist suggested certain skin care products and treatments to help with the client's issue of dry skin and texture. These suggestions were constructive in nature and were aimed purely towards helping the client improve their skin for the day of the wedding. Unfortunately the client misunderstood these suggestions and got upset. In response, we offered the client a free second trial, which the client accepted and was happy with the results. The client also accepted that they ‘perhaps overreacted’ after the first trial. We understand the stress a wedding brings and our trials are aimed at giving complete satisfaction and assurance to the brides, which is why we promptly arranged for a free second trial for the client.
Wedding –
We note that the wedding services were split over two days covering Sangeet and the main day of the wedding. Further we note that the Sangeet services were performed seamlessly and to the client’s complete satisfaction.
On the second day, early morning (3am), unfortunately the lead makeup artist was informed that their father had suffered a major heart attack in India and his health was critical. As a result, the lead makeup artist needed to rush back to India in a matter of hours. In this emergency situation we arranged for the assistant to reach the venue 2 hours before (as early as 7.45am) to cover for the lead artist’s work. Neither us, nor the wedding planner could get in touch with the bride/bride’s family until 8.30am. In the meanwhile the planner arranged for another makeup artist from their end and the bridal party decided to start at the pre-decided schedule. The assistant carried out all the services for the bride and the family, going over and above what is standard in the industry and was paid for by the client. All this was done to make up for the inconvenience caused. The planner conveyed to us that the client and their family were satisfied by the work provided to them by the assistant.
Refunds –
After 3 days of the wedding, the client reached out with a request for a refund for a long list of services that they availed from the assistant in the exact same manner that was agreed upon pre-wedding. We note that WE PROVIDED A FULL REFUND for the payment made by the client to the additional makeup artist hired by their planner. We note that this refund was made at the rate changed by that makeup artist (which were higher than our rates for the same services). This is not part of our contract, yet we did this with the understanding that the client was forced to hire this makeup artist in lieu of our services. We also refunded the travel for the lead makeup artist who could not make it that day. The client unfortunately has made unreasonable demands for refunds for services that were in fact performed fully and as agreed upon pre-wedding.
Overall, as a company, we understand that this situation was neither ideal for the bride nor for us. In all communications with the bride and their team, we have constantly apologized for the inconvenience, took responsibility and tried our very best to accommodate the services for the bride. Sadly, this is a very rare and unfortunate situation which was due to an unprecedented medical emergency. As a company we try our level best to deliver the best possible experience for the brides on their wedding day and we have only received the highest praise from ALL of our other clients.
Nevertheless, we once again apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
