Villa Bonita is a gorgeous estate 💖 we got married there ( and spent the weekend ) on 2-24-24 ! The grounds are gorgeous and the staff keeps it in pristine shape 💖✨ highly recommend!

Everything was perfect. The staff was diligent, and effective in making sure we had everything we needed. The grounds keeper was helpful and made sure that everything was functional. The pool, basketball court, and billard table (bring quarters) made it feel like home and kept the kids busy. And the grill was the perfect touch and made our family BBQ perfect!
The ceremony and reception were perfect! THE FOOD AND CAKE WAS AMAZING! If you're second guessing it, DON'T!

Mansión Villa Bonita is absolutely beautiful. I celebrated my birthday last December and it was such a great experience that I got married there. We rented the Villa for the wedding and reception. We made it a weekend event. The wedding planner was wonderful. I couldn’t be more pleased.

The property is beautiful, all the workers were super courteous and attentive, our entire family had a wonderful time. Very close to beautiful beaches and waterfalls. Would recommend!

We had a magical wedding at Villa Bonita recently. Coralis and rest of the staff conjured up a sophisticated decor with rustic charm, including local, tropical flowers and handmade wooden carvings. We celebrated our ceremony in their cave area, which was decorated beautifully. The authentic Puerto Rican dinner was delicious. We highly recommend celebrating your wedding in Puerto Rico at Hacienda Villa Bonita.

If you are looking to have a simple, personal, low key, yet meaningful ceremony come here. We had the ceremony in the gorgeous natural cave then the reception in the pool area it was a joyful experience. At villa Bonita they will help you prepare everything for your dream wedding. We end up going with one of their packages and the result was the happiest day of our lives. The venue is a summer stunner. You can rent the whole villa and have your family and friends stay together. It can't be better than that!

The venue itself was pretty nice. It did have wear and tear and I believe they really need to redo some things on the venue to keep it up today with how much it is per night. It states it fits up to 60 but you are definitely more comfortable with about 40. Room 6 only have futons, no private room, it is more of a gathering room. I don’t recommend putting anyone in that room. No one told me where all the lights were so me and my family had to go around searching and we still couldn’t find it completely. The pool lights was a mystery but the maintenance guys did turn it on upon request the day of the wedding but i don’t know where it was. The hot tub was okay, it was warm 1 days, hot 1 day then a bit cold another day. It was pretty odd even turning on the hot tub. Pool itself was clean, the rooms were pretty clean. Little things like no toilet paper holder in some rooms but it was okay. Make sure you bring a pool/beach towels. There is laundry on site but not for the purpose for guest to use it to wash the towels.

Liz was one of the coordinators I assume for the venue since she was my point of contact for the venue itself was a nightmare. She was rude in the phone, I don’t think I ever met her because my husband was so upset at her that she was not allow to come to the venue. Jose was one of the first people we spoke to and he was very responsive and understanding. There is a person that is spoken through what’s app which had some issues with communication. I used my own caterer which maybe why Liz was nasty. My caterer was upset at Liz because she was nasty. Liz had the audacity of telling her that she wouldn’t know what it is like to own a 5 million dollar venue. Not sure why that was even brought up. Originally when conversing with Liz, the oven in room 6 was not working. 1 month prior and that was an excuse. The week of the wedding, Liz informed the caterer the oven was now working. I’m not sure if a complaint was made where paying for a venue and not having workable equipment led to them fixing the oven but it seem fishy. They did provide the tarp over the tables which is a great idea because it randomly rains. Provided tables and chairs. The staff was kind, the housekeepers and maintenance. They were very nice people., I appreciated their help all weekend. I will say Liz seemed upset and bothered every time a question was asked.’upset for doing her job and upset for not using her event package completely. If you decided on their event package tried to get it itemized because we tried and we didn’t get it. The event part of the package please read because we was misled with a few things. There is a lot of stipulation if you do not rent out the whole venue with people staying there. If you rent the whole venue and everyone is staying there when you are holding your event, the event package does not apply completely. We used the cave for the ceremony and it was beautiful the set up. It is a bit dark so pics will vary depending on the time. It was a bit snugged with 53 people but comfortable enough.

Overall the venue was okay. Could use some updates. Definitely needs new point of contact person. Everyone else seem to have a good time there.

I sent multiple e-mails and messages through Wedding Wire to this vendor in August of 2019. I finally reached them by phone in November after several attempts with this method. This should have been my first red flag but I really loved the venue and the idea of having all my family and friends at one location.

Once I reached them in November, I immediately placed a 50% deposit for the site accommodations because I was so nervous that it would become booked for my date. My fiancé and I are both military and had just found out in November that we would both be deployed the following year, so the date was very important for us.

After I made a $3,141 deposit for the accommodations only (not for the wedding/event yet), it took me over 2 months and several e-mail and phone call attempts to actually received a contract or receipt for my $3000+ payment. My fiancé continued to reassure me that everything would be okay. My fiancé handled booking an appointment while we were back home visiting family.

The day of the appointment came and we showed up about 15 minutes early. The gate was locked and there were no staff members on site. A staff member had called us back and gave us the code to let ourselves in a "go take a look around."

Once we let ourselves in, we walked all of the outdoor spaces of the property. It was completely trashed and looked like no one had done any maintenance on the exterior of the property in months. Coconuts were floating in the pool and rotting on the paved areas, spiderwebs were covering walkways and paths and it was quite obvious that no one had been there in quite a while.

We spent 30 minutes at the property - in addition to the time we waited to gain entrance to the facility. During these 30 minutes, no staff member showed up to show us the interior of the buildings or the rest of the property so we left.

A week later we contacted Mansion Hacienda Villa Bonita to cancel our reservation. Per the contract, you can receive 100% of the amount paid towards your deposit (to be used to change the date) OR 75% of the total amount paid back in the event of cancelation. We requested to cancel. Liz told us both via e-mail and by phone that we would receive a 25% penalty on the deposit and that the rest would be returned. Quite upsetting to us after going through everything we'd already been through with his vendor, they only returned 50% of our deposit.

Mansion Hacienda Villa Bonita ended up pocketing $1564 from us for doing absolutely nothing for us. Beware of this vendor if you're considering it.

Unprofessional, unethical, my wedding looked like it was planned an hour before it started. Although I travelled to meet the “coordinator” who never showed up the day of the wedding. The whole this is all inclusive we take care of it all is a lie. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.
