The Best of Both Worlds
This venue is a newer location and I can’t express how great the venue, hotel and staff all were when we were planning. I didn’t think my now husband would have such an opinion about where we had our wedding but he was groomzilla. We saw several venue and he really wanted a hotel and I wanted a barn or something with a rustic element. Since most of our guest were coming from out of town we also needed a location that was close to airports and hotels. We saw about 5 or 6 places and couldn’t agree on a place. I finally saw a place that was still under construction but I decided to check it out. I called to book an appointment and they sure but I would have to wear a hard hat just to tour the location. I am great at seeing the potential in a location or design and after viewing the location I knew it would be the perfect venue. A barn for me and a hotel for my now husband. Not only would the venue be brand new and gorgeous the hotel was in the middle of getting a complete face lift.
I am a Bonvoy loyalty member so I knew I loved Marriotts already and what to expect from a hotel. As you can imagine we had some issues with staff being steady during the whole pandemic but the management team made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Every detail we talked about they executed on. I am also extremely particular about everything especially the small details and I didn’t have to worry about a thing the day of my event. Actually the whole weekend everything was just perfect.
I also thought there is nothing better than fireworks, I absolutely love them, so I was really excited when we got the approval from the hotel to use Pyrotex to have a firework send off. The hotel went out of their way to make that happen for us and we were so excited. We never had a moment where we didn’t have a drink in our hand or someone to take care of our request. All of our guest were beyond impressed with the whole weekend and the entire staff.

Brittany is absolutely amazing! She made sure everything ran smooth, we changed the itinerary to a few things and she made it happen with her team! Bar tenders were great! Our Families and Friends truly enjoyed themselves as so did we!

Around March 2016 I was looking for a wedding reception venue with a ballroom, and it was probably one of the hardest things to decide on because there was a lot of factors like number of guests, price and how the place looked. I literally went to 15 different places and made DFW Marriott as my last stop, and boy was I impressed. Yes, the location is remote but that's the beauty of it. I came in contact with Brittany Vinson (sales/catering manager) and she was a God Send. I knew from the earlier experiences I had that I wanted to work with this person because she was very informative and gave me everything I needed and wanted through the whole process. She was on top of her game and from the time we put the deposit down to flash forwarding 8 months later to the event in December 2016, she was the absolute best. Even when things got crazy with everyone coming in from out of town for Our wedding reception she took the time to call me and make sure everything was ok. She was my go to person and I even vented to her about things that had nothing to do with what she had to do for me or the services I was buying. My hard to impress dad was very impressed by her and the staff of the hotel. She made things so easy for me and handled all the vendors for me and made sure they were on top of their game as well. In the end my bride was so happy (which is what this whole thing is about) with how everything came and we are very thankful for this Hotel and Venue and Especially Brittany Vinson. Our experience with Brittany Vinson and the entire Marriott staff was superb! We married on Oct 1, 2016 in a beautiful outdoor garden ceremony and had our reception in the ballroom inside. Brittany helped us feel at ease throughout the entire process, she was very flexible with changes that came up and helped us stay within our budget. She and her staff definitely went above and beyond for us, making sure every detail was precise. Did I mention we were 2 brides? We were treated with the utmost respect, and as special as brides can feel on their special day! We would highly recommend Brittany and the entire Marriott staff for your ceremony and reception, you will not regret it!Our experience with Brittany Vinson and the entire Marriott staff was superb! Brittany Vinson was my coordinator. You can only DREAM of getting a coordinator as great as her. She kept everything stress free and so smooth during all the planning and on the big day. I didn't have a care in the world because I knew it was in her hands. Really ya'lll. She is gold. The whole staff at the Marriott at Champions Circle was AMAZING. The food was AMAZING. It's the whole package!!! 5 stars barely seems like enough to give!Brittany Vinson was my coordinator. You can only DREAM of getting a coordinator as great as her. We loved having the wedding at the Marriott. The event coordinator, Joy, is friendly and makes your requests a reality. From our pre wedding meetings to the wedding day, I knew that everything we needed or wanted would be taken care of. Our guests stayed in comfort, and we even had a hospitality suite where guests could visit and enjoy light snacks. The Marriott at Champions Circle provided a beautiful venue for our wedding and we could not be more pleased with the entire experience!We loved having the wedding at the Marriott. My initial experience with this vendor was good but things started falling a part a bit when my contact left for a better job opportunity at a different hotel. This happened about 2 months before the wedding when we were in the final stages of mapping out the game plan so it was a bit frustrating to not get responses back in a timely manner. Then a new person was hired on about a month before the wedding and she did an amazing job of helping try and get everything squared away. However, she did not get a lot of support from the rest of the sales & catering staff and so we still ran into issues of lack of timely communication and assistance. Lori (the new person) was absolutely amazing all weekend and took care of us like we were her own family. The people at the reservations desk were also absolutely wonderful and accommodated my guests requests. However, a big issue was the hospitality (catering) staff that was supposed to be helping my caterers with the food. They were non-existent and if my caterer hadn't been thoughtful enough to bring some extra help, I have no idea where we would be now. Overall, initially I would have recommended this hotel but now that Lori is gone, I am not sure what kind of service you might get. Hello, thank you for your review. My name is Brittany, I am the current Catering Manager with the hotel and now in charge of all weddings. I would like to extend my apologies that you had issues and switched planners part way through. In regards to your outside catering, we cannot help the caterers unload, set up or maintain their food products, as these were not prepared by our staff. If we do help an outside caterer we become liable for their product and if someone where to get sick, we would be responsible, even though we did not prepare the food. Our staff is only required to buss tables and clean up after, all outside caterers must provide their own staff to plate food or maintain buffets. I apologize if this was not communicated to you and your family prior to the event. -

Horrific wedding day
First off, their team threw away our wedding cake leftovers stating that I told them to. Never did! We had a lot left over as well. Before the wedding nothing was set up like discussed so I could set things up before I got ready. Then during the transition to reception THEIR team had no clue what was going on and constantly asked me AND MY HELP What to do because nothing I had discussed with their coordinator was told to them. There was so much they were suppose to do and it wasn’t done! Then they kept switching our name place tags around for no reason. My father wanted compensation for all that they did wrong and screwed up my day, but you want to know what they did?? Refunded $250.. the cakes they threw away, covered over $700, and we had plenty of leftovers.. NIGHTMARE!!!
Update: Just saw the response. This is a prime example of their unprofessionalism. They still take Zero accountability for that day. Like I have told many people, thank goodness the pictures came out the way they did. I made this review before talking to them further, and they are still making that day a nightmare for me. Our facility has a seasoned and professional staff that host multiple weddings weekly and provides amazing service and a great experience. This case was no exception, and our team provided exactly what was asked of us, what we contractually agreed to, and more.
