  Mary is amazing!

  Mary was an amazing photographer for our wedding - we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Mary photographed our Sangeet, our wedding ceremony and our reception- all of which had many details within them, from performances to speeches to giant dance floors. Mary was able to perfectly capture the joy, energy and love of our special weekend. She was also a joy to work with throughout the process - whether it was preparing months in advance or during the weekend itself. Mary was able to plan effectively but also roll with the punches as they came. The photos speak for themselves- we are so thrilled with the outcome & couldn’t recommend her more highly.

  Distinctive, Timeless Photos

  Mary is a fantastic photographer and we were thrilled to have her on our wedding team! We give Mary our highest recommendation. Mary came recommended as a "dream photographer" in a blog post on A Practical Wedding, and we could not agree more. After booking Mary, she generously offered to take time during a personal trip and shoot our engagement photos in Los Angeles (where we live.) With no time for advance location scouting, Mary's trained eye for detail, direction and lighting produced wonderful photos in an outdoor setting much different from the PNW. Mary was patient, supportive and helpful even as we changed our wedding plans no fewer than three times (!) due to COVID-19. We scaled back our ceremony considerably and did not use a planner, but Mary was so easy to work with leading up to the event date. During a drizzly, cold and windy day on Whidbey Island, Mary had a positive, relaxed attitude that kept us at ease throughout the day. Her photos are truly special and distinctive, and we will treasure them forever.

  Beautiful photos, great personality

  My husband and I had a small wedding - 25 people - and wanted a photographer to capture the mood and emotion of the day without adding any stress. Mary has a great personality and made the photo-taking process a breeze - even the staged family portrait part. We now have hundreds of lovely photos to cherish and to share with our friends and family members who weren't at our tiny wedding. We loved her!

  wedding photos 9/2018

  Mary and her assistant (Katherine) were wonderful to work with- professional, creative and hard working. We wanted to get as many candid photos as possible and they certainly delivered. Thank you Mary!

  I can't say enough great things about Mary! I knew I wanted her to be our wedding photographer from the start because she did my sister's wedding (which turned out amazing), so I was so happy to find out that she was willing to travel to Palm Springs for our big day! From start to finish, she was so great to work with. Not only was the experience fantastic, but the pictures are so beautiful. We love Mary and will be calling her again for our next photography needs!

  I can't say enough great things about Mary!   Mary has a lot of personality and was a dream to work with!   Mary was absolutely incredible! Her overall vibe is very laid-back and chill, but she was not shy about giving clear directions to make sure everyone looked their best. Family photos (the worst part of every wedding) went so smoothly thanks to Mary. She kept us on schedule throughout the day and put everyone at ease. She's still working on editing our photos, but I've absolutely loved what we've seen so far. Hiring Mary was one of the best decisions we made and I would do it again without hesitation. She's the best!

  Mary was wonderful! She was flexible to accommodate mine and my husbands style and had some great ideas. She had previously scouted out the neighborhood of our venue and found some AMAZING backgrounds for a variety of pictures. I couldn't be happier with the way the pictures all turned out!

  Mary has a keen eye for wedding photography. We are very happy with our decision to have her capture our wedding day. She is a talented and skilled artist and my husband and I couldn't be more pleased with her work. I would recommended Mary without hesitation!

  I’ve been able to watch Mary’s photography unfold over the years of following her blogs, her ability to
  capture people’s personalities through photography has always blown my mind. She has a knack for
  being able to capture raw intimacy that you only see in books. This style has resonated in my mind
  whenever I think of photography, and deep down I have always imagined her being there capturing the
  moment when I would decide to walk down an aisle to my future husband or posing with a baby that I
  don’t have yet.
  
  Last fall, I was planning a destination wedding in Kauai. I wanted to escape the hassle and emotional
  rollercoaster involved in local weddings, and I thought this distance would be perfect. Yet throughout
  my planning I knew there were a few things you could not compromise in, one being a photographer,
  and this realization weighted me heavily. I wasn’t sure it would work with Mary, cost being only one of
  the many elements to consider, but when I approached Mary to hear her perspective I instantly felt
  relieved to know she was interested. We made it work, and I was excited to be able to book with her.
  
  The days leading up to the event, made me grateful for Mary. Through my own internal stress, I needed
  her fun, easy going, confident and decisive attitude. She helped us decide where to take pictures, even
  though she was also learning the area, after all she had never been to Kauai, but you would Never have
  known that.
  
  The day-of was perfect. Mary was able to capture so many wonderful moments, and her presence
  enabled us to relax with no pressure. Her professionalism and ability to see art everywhere made our
  pictures look like they came from a magazine, they were AMAZING. I couldn’t be any more impressed
  with a photographer’s work, and I feel so blessed that my most monumental day was captured by her
  camera.

  I cannot say enough about how much we loved working with Mary on our wedding day. We did not want conventional wedding photos and we trusted her to use her creative eye to capture the candid, emotional moments that really matter. Mary is a true artist and our photos were nothing short of art. It was a pleasure to have her involved in our wedding and she is the best combination of an absolute professional who is also someone you'll want to hang out with after the wedding is over! I recommend Mary to anyone who is looking not for just "wedding photos", but for a unique and personalized photo diary of your special day.

  Mary was so easy to work with for our big day. She is so creative and I loved the fact that she didn't take run of the mill wedding pictures (something I didn't want! I wanted them to be unique!); she tailored everything to our personalities. I see that in the other photographs she's taken for other couples or families. I felt like I could always reach her and felt she's very reasonably priced. We liked our wedding photos so much that we had her do our maternity and newborn photos as well. The compliments have been endless!
