I hired Megan for my engagement/wedding shot package after seeing her shoot my best friends wedding, 4 years earlier. I honestly didn't even look at other photographers. I had watched her via instagram and knew she was the style I wanted from the get go.
I'm not sure if it's most men or just my husband, but he hates getting his photograph taken... but coming out of our engagement session he said "wow! megan made me feel like I was doing everything right and like a straight rockstar".
Her constant whooping, "YAAASSS"'s and "work it" had us laughing, feeling amazing and because of that our pictures turned out better than I could've imagined. I knew our wedding photos would be even better (if that was possible)!... it was.
Megan and Mitch are an amazing couple and photography duo. You can't go wrong! I can't wait till we decide to grow our family so I can hire again for a maternity shoot. -

Haleigh Sent on 10/17/2016Choosing Megan as my wedding photographer was absolutely the best choice I made in our entire wedding planning process. I’m a huge fan of wedding photography and had followed her work for a while. Every girl has their “dream” aspect of their wedding- whether it’s the perfect dress, flowers, venue- but mine was always my “dream photographer” who was of course, Megan Vaughan!
Megan and I started emailing, and I told her that photography was absolutely the most important thing to me on my wedding day. I knew right off the bat that Megan understood my vision and we “clicked” without even meeting in person. She agreed to bring her family up to Maine for our wedding! The planning process of the travel was so simple, and Megan always made things easy, efficient, and stress-free. We had fun emailing back and forth for about a year. I couldn’t wait to finally meet her!
On the wedding day Megan arrived ahead of schedule, and as we went through the timeline she had built, the transitions were easy, smooth, and we were even ahead of schedule! Megan has the ability to make you feel so comfortable and like she’s keeping you under her wing throughout the day (that’s clearly why she’s an awesome Mom too!). There was not one moment where I felt nervous or anxious because I knew she was running the show. She made everything fun, exciting, and stress-free. She captured every moment and detail of our entire wedding from beginning to end.
The ability that Megan has to capture the FEELINGS of a moment in a still-photo is absolutely incredible. When I saw the photos of our wedding, it was like I got to relive the day all over again and got to see any moments that I may have missed. When looking at the photos I could also remember how I felt in each one which was truly a gift in itself.
Megan’s talent as a wedding photographer goes above and beyond what can be put into words. I am ecstatic and grateful that I was lucky enough to be one of her brides this year! Thank you Megan! -

In true professionalism, she follows up and double checks everything. She helped me with my timeline, and the day of, she was more on top of it than I was-she remembered things that I had forgotten. She is so skilled - I highly recommend checking out her website, you will fall in love with her style. I loved the bright colors, the lighting, and the way she captures creatively. She has a great personality - something that is HUGE on your wedding day - and was a calming friend the day of. She is experienced not only in photography, but in wedding days and knew what to say/what I was feeling. I was thrilled with how the pictures turned out and have still, months later, received compliments on them. I have no regrets and am so glad that she could be a part of our day. I am recommending her to all of my engaged friends now! -

She made every experience from our engagement, to my bridals, to the wedding so special. She went above and beyond to help in any way she could. The wedding wouldn't have been the same without her. We can't thank her enough for all of her hard work. Her turn around time with the pictures was incredible. Our favorite part about Megan was her love for the Lord that was just so evident every time we were with her. We loved having her as a photographer! She is a joy to be around.

User1614584 Sent on 05/11/2014You know it’s a good thing when a dozen or so of your guests come up to you at your wedding and ask “So, where do you guys know the photographer from?”
I honestly don’t know where to begin. Megan is talented, kind, hilarious, and so passionate. At our wedding, she captured not only the traditional photos we all know and love, but the candid shots; both the embarrassing and the beautiful.
After finding Megan and talking on the phone, I immediately felt like I had asked a friend to shoot our wedding. She made the process exciting and so comfortable; I truly couldn’t wait to meet her for engagement photos. Unfortunately, our initial wedding date had to be postponed, after my then fiancé returned from Afghanistan after a pretty scary incident. During the months in between, Megan not only kept in touch, but she reached out several times offering loving support, encouragement, and prayer. We knew that when we set another date Megan was the photographer for us.
When that date was finally set, we scheduled our engagement photos. They not only turned out beautiful, but they truly were a great warm up for the wedding. Neither of us had ever taken photos with a professional photographer so it was great getting to know Megan while she helped us along the way.
Our wedding day experience with Megan (and her lovely second shooter) was comfortable, natural, fun, and emotional all at once. We trusted her ideas and it paid off in a BIG way. From climbing up some rocks for the perfect view to sneaking away to capture a beautiful sunset, she made it all happen. Megan was not a “vendor” by any means. She was and is a friend. I have no idea how she manages to talk, laugh, dance, cry, AND take amazing photos of it all. We couldn’t be happier with choosing Megan to shoot our wedding and we will absolutely be calling her when we need to capture our next milestone!

Nina Sent on 03/26/2014Once I found Megan Vaughn's site I was dead set on having her photograph our wedding.
I loved her photography style immediately. My husband and I wanted someone who could capture our laid-back style while still showcasing the beauty and elegance of our wedding.
And oh-my-gosh did she deliver. From the quirkiness ever present in the personalities of my in-laws to the quiet reserved playfulness of my own family and all the moments of love.
I could not find a critique anywhere online about Megan’s passion, work integrity, timeliness or the quality of her photography. Believe me- I looked. Megan’s work speaks for itself, but her dedication to your day is what puts it over the top. She was there early, she tried to calm down my husband, I trusted her to lead me blindly towards him so we could do a first-look- no peek and she worked around family insanity. She is full of brilliant ideas for photos and posing. From people to details- she captures everything that made your day special so you can remember it all.
I fell in love with Megan from the moment I read the About Me section on her website. Highlights include being BFFs, how she’ll call your parents Mom & Pop plus my personal favorite- that she loves chipotle and despises onions- Hey Me Too! By the time we had our first skype date, no one else stood a chance. Megan has a huge personality that really shines- she took on a family of 8 kids and seemed to love every second! And has even agreed to do it again!
You know when things just fall into place- and you think It can’t be that easy, wedding planning is supposed to be stressful. Well that’s what happened with Megan Vaughan as our photographer- that absolutely out-of-this world happy feeling that you’ve snagged such a beautifully kind and unbelievably talented artist to capture your day. And it just gets better once you see the pictures!
