  Experienced Professional`

  Melissa was one of our favorite parts of our wedding day. She was calm, organized, and thorough with all of the shots that we asked for - and was willing to climb into a treehouse to get extra fun shots as well. She had the photos ready for us quicker than her estimate, and even sent us some early with our moms for Mother's day. We've looked through our photos hundreds of times already and every one captures the joy we felt on our wedding day perfectly.

  From the big picture to the finer details, Melissa is a pro!

  We're going to cherish the wedding photos Melissa took on our big day forever! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Not only is she a pro at couple and family wedding portraits, but she captured so many candid, fun moments throughout our day. She went above and beyond, also capturing the finer details of our wedding and our guests.

  Melissa is the absolute BEST!!!

  We knew from our first phone call with Melissa that she was going to be the perfect fit for our day! We didn't have any experience working closely with a photographer, but Melissa helped us get started, guided us through the whole process, and answered any and all questions. On the day of our wedding, Melissa made us feel so comfortable and even arrived early to pick out the best spots and lighting at our venue. Even after our big day, Melissa kept such great communication and updated us on our wedding album which we appreciated so much! We are so thankful for Melissa and we loved every minute of working together. We highly recommend!!!

  Could not be happier!

  I can’t say enough positive things about our experience working with Melissa! Our photos came out SO beautifully and she was such a kind, calming, and professional presence leading up to our wedding and on the day itself. She made sure to answer all of our questions, even the questions we didn’t know we had. On our wedding day she gave us just enough direction to make us feel comfortable without making our photos look staged. I was also so impressed with how well she wrangled all of our family members into our family shots! It was such a joy to get our photos back and see our day reflected so perfectly. I am so happy we chose to work with Melissa!

  If you're considering booking Melissa as your wedding photographer...just go ahead and do it. It will be the best decision you make for your wedding. Melissa is so professional, friendly, kind and talented. She went above and beyond. We would definitely hire her again for any other photography needs and would recommend to any friends getting married in the area. She really captured the spirit of our celebration and so many people said to me afterward "You had the nicest and most fun wedding photographer!" We're so in love with our photos and look at them all the time to remember our special day. We also weren't the most traditional couple and Melissa was completely supportive.   Melissa was amazing to work with!

  I heard of Melissa through a mutual friend. After speaking with Melissa on a call, I instantly knew she would be perfect for our small, intimate wedding that we were planning in just 3 short weeks. She cared, listened, and was a great team player. Melissa was extremely attentive and communicative, and with her guidance, we made it all come together very quickly. I had no idea our small, low-key wedding could look incredibly beautiful. We will treasure these photos forever!

  Melissa is amazing!

  Melissa was a dream to work with. We have to reschedule our wedding multiple times due to COVID, and she was extremely understanding. She understood our vision for the day and who we were as a couple. She provided excellent direction on the wedding day (you need someone to wrangle all those family members), while also allowing us to enjoy the event and not spend the whole time taking photos. The pictures turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Not over exposed or over saturated, beautifully shot, they were everything we had hoped for and more!

  Proposal Photoshoot

  Melissa did an excellent job photographing my proposal to my girlfriend. I would highly recommend her for a few reasons. First, Melissa always responded to my emails and questions in a timely fashion. Two, she took the time to understand the intricacies of my planned proposal. Aside from being a sounding board, I thought this was important because this information allowed her to capture the moment perfectly. Third, when we finally met her, Melissa was incredibly warm, excited, and happy to take photos in a variety of settings. Fourth, the quality of the photos was excellent - not just from an aesthetic point of view, but I felt that she really captured the moment in a way that was unique to us.

  Melissa worked Magic with our unexpected circumstances; I've never been so impressed or grateful for a photographer!

  I cannot say enough about Melissa Maureen- how incredibly thankful we are that she was our photographer the day we got married. The day before the wedding our venu closed due to Covid-19 and we had to coordinate a change-of-venu and change-of-time of ceremony. Melissa stuck with us, swooped in, and took control of a very tricky/stressful situation. 3 things stand out remarkably to me: her incredible EFFORT, her CALM/Professionalism, and her TALENT. She was so capable! She navigated stressed people with cheerfulness and tact, and she was able to get beautiful photographs with such limited scenery. The quality of the images we received was as if we had planned for weeks and had the most luxurious retreat day of a wedding. I am still amazed; the rest of the wedding party was shocked as well! They also noticed how she was able to capture our personalities (not just attractive angles) as well as poignant details/moments during the ceremony and with family & friends. We LOVE Melissa Maureen.

  Fantastic experience with Melissa

  Melissa is such a fantastic photographer. We loved having her at our wedding, and she also did a great engagement shoot for us.   Great experience!

  My husband and I planned a small wedding with less than 20 people. We only had an hour with Melissa, and she made every minute count! She walked in with her camera in hand, ready to go, and immediately made us feel comfortable. Throughout the shoot she came up with great poses and spots to take shots that took advantage of the setting. The pictures came out looking wonderful, and she made our day all the more special. Can I recommend her enough.

  Great Experience

  Melissa came recommended by another wedding photographer (who happened to not be available on our date). In an industry where you have loads of choices, being recommended by a peer said a great deal about her skill and professionalism before we even met her. From our first interaction through our final photo delivery, Melissa was always prompt in her communications.
  
  Her bright, airy photography style perfectly captured our spring wedding. She was fun and friendly, important qualities in someone you will spend a great deal of time with on your wedding day. We wanted some posed as well as editorial style photos and she did a great job capturing both. In addition to the standard bride and groom/family shots she took lots of great pictures of our guests. Logistically our wedding was complicated (different ceremony and reception sites) and we dealt with the dreaded wedding day rain. Melissa was incredibly flexible and made us feel confident that we would have great photos despite the circumstances!

  Photography was really important to us, so it was the first vendor we booked after the venue and planner -- and we couldn't have hoped for a better photographer than Melissa! We wanted a mix of posed and candid photos, with a classic and timeless style. I loved her photos immediately, and after we spoke to her on the phone we were sold. From the very beginning she was super friendly, professional, and easy to work with. We were willing to invest in a professional photographer, but she worked with us to create a custom package so we got exactly what we wanted without paying extra for what we didn't.
  
  Of course, the photos themselves are gorgeous - her style is bright, romantic, and polished without being overly processed. We got all the classic posed shots we wanted and a bunch of fun candids, too. Plus, Melissa is just so fun to work with! When we were running late, she rolled with the punches and always had a great attitude. She even gave me a ride to our first look spot, brought along snacks and coconut water for me, and coordinated with our videographers. Our photos perfectly capture all the joy we felt, and it brings me right back to the moment every time I look at them. We're so happy we chose Melissa!

  Would book again and again to capture our day!

She put my husband and me at ease through all of our portraits, yet commanded the group when it was time to get everyone together for all of the bigger group shots. We met with her twice before our wedding day, and we really felt like she worked hard to get to know us as a couple before the big day arrived.
  
  After the wedding day, she gave us a great sneak peak of our photos through the PhotoMemories app, and then when the full set of photos was ready, she sent us a link to the full album, and sent a USB with both web-ready and full-size images.
  
  It was truly a pleasure to work with Melissa, and I would absolutely recommend her to capture your day!

  Melissa was our wedding photographer in 2017, and we couldn’t have been happier about hiring her! Her photography is beautiful. Now, 7 years later, she is still my first choice photography for any important milestones. She is an absolute natural at helping babies & kids feel comfortable, and she adapts to any unexpected surprises they throw her way! I am so grateful to have found Melissa in 2017, and thrilled that we’ve both remained nearby geographically so that we can continue working together again and again!

  I hired Melissa for our Wedding. Best choice we ever made. Melissa was very responsive from beginning to end. I enjoyed the fact the she cared to know the background of our relationship. That let me know that she takes her job personally and cares about her clients, which I appreciate. Melissa is extremally organized and allows you get as many pictures as possible with the amount of time she has with you; which is helpful when you have a wedding with a very big family. Melissa captured intimate moments that we will cherish for a lifetime. She has an amazing eye for capturing special moments. She took it upon herself to communicate with our wedding planner to figure out a time in the timeline to capture the perfect pictures at sunset. I recommend Melissa for anyone in need of a photographer. We will be using her for future events!

  Melissa was the perfect photographer for my daughter's wedding. We had a "destination" wedding in Chapel Hill (we are from L.A.), so finding and working with a photographer from afar was of concern. However Melissa was great over the phone and worked with us easily.
  
  The photos are exquisite from all five phases (pre-wedding dressing, the church ceremony, family group shots, intimate bride-groom, and the reception). We opted to also hire her support photographer, and we are SO happy we did. She was able to get some powerful and fun shots of the guys getting ready in the tuxes before while Melissa was with my daughter and her crew. They were also able to get different perspectives during the ceremony. Finally, at the reception, Melissa did a graceful yet effective job of blending into the reception to catch many emotional and also hilarious shots. She didn't miss a critical shot (toasts, cake cutting, etc.) yet still got other creative ones that captured the exuberance of the guests and even insights into people's personality.
  
  Additionally, we had potential for some internal family friction between some relatives, but Melissa handled everything most professionally and directed it all quite smoothly.
  
  While all of this is important to me, the most critical measure of her work comes from my daughter's experience and the resulting photos. Needless to say she loved the interaction with Melissa during the wedding, and the end product photos brought fresh tears to her eyes.

  Melissa was a dream to work with and the quality of our pictures are amazing! After the wedding if over all you really have left are memories and picture - so to us a good photog was a very important! She was simply the best and so sweet, amazing worth ethic and dedicated to that perfect shot!

  I can't say enough about how great our experience was with Melissa. If you think you're not photogenic, she will make you feel like a super model. She is a positive happy presence who made us feel like our wedding was the best she'd ever seen. The photos are just gorgeous. She captures the light and color and atmosphere so magically. I would get her again for any photo needs I have in a heartbeat.

  Melissa was incredible! My husband and I had a pretty large (rowdy) wedding party, and she corralled/directed us all so skillfully - her energy was contagious! She truly went above and beyond. A prime example: Melissa drove my MOH and I in her personal vehicle from the hotel to our venue! The photos themselves are lovely of course, but Melissa in particular was wonderful. Highly recommend!

  Melissa was all we could have asked for and more in a wedding photographer. She was encouraging, upbeat, professional, thoughtful and most importantly made us feel comfortable throughout the whole day. The photos she took are incredible and we will absolutely treasure them for the rest of our lives. She truly went the extra mile in every way and I could not recommend her more highly.
