  Melissa was amazing to work with, we were so lucky to have her capture our big day. Melissa was very reliable, reasonable and flexible and not to mention our photographs came out fantastic!

  We couldn't have been more satisfied with Melissa's work. She was honest, reliable, personable, and punctual. Her presence was there when needed and then her "fly on the wall" approach during the ceremony and reception was perfect. She captured multiple beautiful photographs without us feeling like we were being chased by a camera all night. Melissa gives you rights to all pictures, which was so important to us. She even braved really cold weather to capture an engagement shoot for us; she is truly up for anything. We highly recommend Melissa Nicastro Photography and are more than pleased with our forever photos.

  If you want a photographer who will listen to your wants, provide advice from her experience and who will take fantastic photos to memorialize your wedding, look no further than Melissa. She has an easy going demeanor, is great to work with and captured our big day in exactly the way we wanted to. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
  
  It has been a few years since our wedding, and we are now contacting her to take some family photos with our daughter and other children in the family and hope she is available as we know she will do a great job.

  We could not have asked for a better wedding photographer than Melissa! We met with a few other photographers and upon meeting Melissa, we knew she was different from the rest. I felt so comfortable with her from the very first meeting and she won us over with her great attitude and passion for taking photos. She was never once pushy like a lot of the others we met with. And she was affordable which also helps! When it came time to take our engagement photos, I asked Melissa for suggestions and she took us to this amazing, romantic location that was perfect for our pictures. In the months leading up to our wedding, Melissa and I exchanged numerous emails and she was always very responsive and helpful. When the wedding day came, she and her assistant were there on time and took the photos we requested in a timely manner. There was a snow storm on our wedding day (in October!), but you would never be able to tell the mess of rain and snow surrounding us because our photos came out so vibrant and beautiful. What we admired most about Melissa was her laid back attitude and her patience. During the ceremony and reception, she was so sly that she just seemed like another guest. And she was so patient when we had to gather the right people to take the special photos we had requested. We are so lucky to have found Melissa and would recommend her to any couple looking for a FABULOUS wedding photographer! :)

  Melissa was one of the first vendors that I booked. She was highly recommended by friends and we are more more than thrilled with her work. She caught the most amazing moments in her shots and even got some surprising pictures of our guests that we will treasure for a lifetime. Melissa was amazing to work with and brought our vision to life. Her attenention to detail (which was a year worth of planning on my end) was timeless and I cannot express how talented she is. She was so helpful and accomodating and the final product was beyond our expectations! She was with us from the very begining of our day to the very end of the night, so she caught every special moment. If you are planning the most amazing day of your life you need Melissa there capture it! I will recommend her to all of my friends and can't thank her enough!!!

  I'd like to start by saying that I couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer than Melissa.   Melissa was aboslutely amazing to work with! And nothing is better than her price! She was VERY affordable compared to some other local photographers we met with (that weren't even as good as her!) I also appreciated that she didn't charge per hour. She was available to come early and stay until the end of the wedding. At one point during the day, we walked over to the North End in Boston for some photos and there was an italian festival going on. It was absolutely nuts, and there were a million people walking around. Melissa was able to take beautiful pictures of us despite the chaos surrounding us. She proved that she works very well under pressure. I would highly recommend her!

  Melissa Nicastro is a very talented photographer and was pleasurable to work with. She is very professional, easy going, non-pressure, type of photographer. Our personalities worked well together. She also has a great package that is very affordable compared to a lot of the other photographers I researched. Good price for great quality.

  Melissa Nicastro was a fabulously professional, yet easy going and FUN person to work with from start to finish. She's got great equipment and a great eye. I loved our pictures, felt that our day was thoroughly and beautifully captured. We found her rate to be very reasonable for the level of service and absolutely worth every penny.

  Melissa did a great job with our wedding. She is very easy going and pleasant to work with, and she was a very calming influence on a very otherwise hectic/exciting day for me. We did an engagement session and had both her and her assistant photographing the day of the wedding. They took beautiful pictures and managed to capture all the fun happenings without being intrusive. They even managed to get great shots of family members that are known to be picture hiders. The album came out amazing, the layout is so thoughtful and beautiful. My husband and I are very happy with our photography experience with Melissa, and would recommend them highly.

Within days we were able to have a sneak peak at some of the photos on her website and within weeks we had the CD containing all of the electronic copies of our wedding. The photos were posted online shortly after the wedding, and it made it nice and easy for family and friends to order prints in all different sizes.   We hired Melissa to shoot our wedding and can not sing her praises loudly enough. She captured the essence of our entire wedding day so perfectly that everyone who sees our photos can not stop raving about them. People say they feel transported back to the day (as we do every time we view them). Our photos are timeless and simply put, gorgeous.
  
  Here are some examples of why we enjoyed working with her: (1) She has the patience of a monk (2) She works alone and with an assistant when needed. No big entourage. (3) She blends in naturally. We had a guest comment on how stealthy she was. Most people had no idea she was taking photos the entire evening, yet she captured the most beautifully candid photos of our guests. (4) She's quick to catch a fleeting moment. She's truly a natural behind the lens. (5) She has a lovable personality that seems to light people up. (6) She is willing to travel. Our wedding was in San Francisco and she is based on the East Coast. (7) All images were available within one week for viewing and purchasing online. This made sharing with family and friends easy. Plus, her online presence and interface is intuitive and user friendly. (8) The print pricing isn't overly inflated. The prices are reasonable and on par with other professional photographers. I actually think they're a very good value. (9) And last but not least, she's affordable, flexible and professional. What more could you want! Bottom line is that we are very happy clients.

  Melissa is fantastic! She is extremely helpful, nice and provides great service. She is super flexible and her package is the best I have seen! I strongly recommend Melissa, you will not be disappointed! We love our photos :)

  Melissa was great! She is not your typical cookie cutter wedding photographer. She and her assistant aim at taking candid, fly on the wall photos, which is awesome. She got all the great shots of my wedding and is very nice and easygoing!

  I would definitely not recommend this photographer. Because we live across the country, we were unable to do our engagement photos with Melissa. I think that if we had, I definitely would have hired someone else. She arrived unprepared and complained about the lighting in the room I chose to get ready in. She took my Dress into the hall to try to get a photo of it but those photos weren't even in my proofs. We went to take photos before the ceremony of the bridal party. I wanted a beach, but she brought us to a marshy area that had not been mowed with a water view behind it. It was a mess to walk in, and everyone shoes got dirty. She said she usually checks to see that it's been mowed, but she "didn't have time that day". We took photos with everyone. She made my now husband keep his jacket buttoned. With his arm holding me, it makes the jacket look like it's pulling and ill fitting. In group photos, no one is properly posed. The group isn't proportioned well on either side of us. It looks like a bunch of hooligans standing clustered in a marsh, certainly not anything I would expect from my wedding day. We would not frame a single photo from the marsh. During the ceremony, melissa snapped away, yet she didn't get a single photo of everyone looking at us as we said our vows. No photo is centered. They're a nightmare. First dance photos aren't great-- not one has ever been posted or used. There are only a few photos of us dancing after dinner-- melissa says those "get repetitive". If I paid you to be there for X number of hours, take photos the whole time. Overall, going through these photos, there isn't one that I can say, "That's our wedding photo." We don't have ANY printed in my house that melissa took. My father in law summed it up best by saying, "The pictures will remind us of that day, but they did not do it any justice." I had the wedding of my dreams, and I don't have any photos to display in my home of the best day of my life. We are beyond disappointed.
