Out of this world DELICIOUS cake!!
I cannot say enough good things about Melissa and her team. I came to her asking for a wedding cake that was different from standard white and had fall flavors, and she made the most incredible cake I have EVER tasted. I am usually not a huge cake fan which is why I wanted something special, but when I tell you that this is the one cake I could eat for every meal, you know it's good. Top tier was french toast flavor, and bottom tier was classic white with special icing. Everyone at my wedding had to come tell us how good the cake was. Not only was it delicious, but she executed the look I asked for even better than it was in my head. I will never come back to Blairesville without stopping by for something sweet. I will also never forget the memory of sitting on the countertop in my new home because we still have no furniture, 2 weeks after my wedding, savoring every last bite of the STILL delicious best cake from my favorite day. Thank you so much for such an important task so perfectly executed, Melissa. I look forward to seeing you again.

We loved our cakes from Melissa's! Both my daughter and several of our guests are gluten free, so we had to hire a baker who knew how to make a delicious and beautiful gluten free cake. We also wanted a non-gluten free options, so we discussed how we might display the wedding cake and cut the cake without cross contamination. Thankfully, we used the Royal Wedding as our example, and went with "deconstructed cakes".... which were beautiful and practical for our dietary restrictions. Melissa made our cakes tasty and gorgeous... Thank you! -

Melissa did such an amazing job with our cakes. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the sheet cakes she did to go along with the 3 tiered cake she did. I could not have been happier with the taste or presentation. Will be using her again for some upcoming birthdays. -

She was so excited to design our wedding cake and her cakes taste AMAZING! Then, when we saw our cake on our wedding day we were floored! It was EXACTLY what we wanted and it looks so beautiful!! Don't even get me started on the taste! I about died when I tasted it. Thank you so much Melissa - you are so so very talented! I would recommend her to anyone!! -
User1191198 Sent on 06/07/2013Melissa's Cakes and Goodies was a really great choice for our cake. We decided to have a 2 tier cake for us to cut and let the guests have cupcakes to eat. They were all gorgeous and tasted amazing!! They were moist and the combinations of the cake, the filling, and the icing were awesome! Everyone was raving about how delicious they were and I saw several people returning for seconds or thirds!! -

It fit right in with the rest of the decor. This was an easy decision for us and it turned out better than we expected. Thanks! -

I had a photo of a cake I really liked and she was able to duplicate it, adding personal touches unique to my wedding. I know she put a lot of effort and hard work into it, as the designs were complicated. The cake tasted great and I got a lot of compliments on it. I would definitely recommend Melissa's Custom Cakes! -

Erin Sent on 06/01/2013Melissa provided cupcakes for our wedding. She's a little bit hard to get in touch with sometimes, but ultimately, we were pleased with what she made for us. She made 100 cupcakes for us and gave us a six-inch cake as a gift.
Pros: Really REALLY delicious cake, provided everything on time and looking just as promised
Cons: It would sometimes take me a few tries to get in touch with her, the frosting work was pretty but not the most stunning thing ever (she made up for it by making the cake and icing super delicious though)
On the whole, I think Melissa is a great choice. We had very few cupcakes left over (a lot of people ate more than one), so I think her cupcakes were a success :) -
User5786349 Sent on 05/13/2015I had a hard time working with Melissa Cakes. When we went for the tasting we weren't happy at all. Its was very awkward and the samples left a weird taste. Luckily my venue just hired a baker and we had them do all the main baking. We did however already make a deposit and even though it doesn't say it on the contract, we were unable to get our money back. So instead we went with just doing a grooms cake and cookies with Melissa. The cake didn't have any of the writing i asked for and the cookies weren't presentable. I ending up having people eat them before the wedding. Overall, I wouldn't go there again, nor would I recommend it.
