  We could not be happier that we chose Michael to be our officiant for our June wedding in Santa Rosa. From the beginning, he was very responsive, communicative and put us at ease regarding our wedding ceremony. He took the time to get to know my husband and I so that he could personalize our ceremony, which made it more special. He was very professional, and explained each step of the ceremony planning to us and helped us create a ceremony that fit our style. Even though we did a wedding rehearsal the evening before our wedding and Michael went over literally everything with us, we were a bit nervous on the day of and still fumbled a bit through a couple things, but Michael was very smooth with his transitions and no one even noticed the silly mistakes we made. Throughout the planning process, Michael checked in with us a couple of times just to see how we were doing, which I was super appreciate of, I felt he went above and beyond. He truly does care about each wedding he officiates and does want to make it unique and special for the couple.

  Best officiant out there

  We had the best experience hiring Sandi McCracken to officiate our wedding this past April in Sonoma. From the start, Sandi was very communicative, caring and open to answer any questions we had. She understood my husband had a busy schedule and was very flexible and accommodating along all. Her voice was perfect for our ceremony and everything went smoothly as planned.   I cannot say enough wonderful things about Michael & Sandi. Michael officiated a wedding I attended in Napa and I knew we had to hire him for our wedding. A lot of people we know had friends or family officiate their weddings, but we knew we wanted an outsider because the ceremony is the whole reason for the day and we wanted a professional. Michael was so comfortable and natural and heartwarming when he officiated my friends wedding, it was exactly what we had in mind. And I may be biased but I think our ceremony was even better. He made jokes at the right time (a marching band started playing during our ceremony and he cracked a joke) and improvised when needed (my dad didn't wait to hand me off to my husband and Michael just went right with the flow). I had MULTIPLE people say it was one of the best ceremonies they've ever witnessed because it was heartfelt and real and custom to us. It was mine and my husbands favorite part of the day, honestly and truly. And on top of delivering over and above the day of, Michael & Sandi were extremely communicative from day one. We met with them in person and got to know one another and had multiple conversations leading up to the wedding, which made us better acquainted and more like friends. They are the nicest people. We got married the weekend after the large wildfires started in Northern California (fires were not contained) and Sandi and Michael's home was in danger of burning down. Sandi unfortunately was unable to come to our ceremony because they were on call for a possible evacuation. We did no expect Michael to come, obviously, and had a friend lined up to step in, but he came and he was wonderful. We are so very grateful he was there for us on our day during a time of need for his family. It truly means the world to us and because of their dedication to their clients and their wonderful demeanor, I would 100% recommend them. Hire them. You WILL NOT regret it. The ceremony is what it is all about!!

We don't live in California, so all the work she did to write our ceremony was from afar, based on interviews and phone calls. To sum it up, we felt her words mixed with our words to perfectly reflect our personalities, spirituality and styles in the ceremony. Sandi easily worked with our ideas and the parts of the ceremony we wanted to write ourselves. When we weren't sure what we wanted for a few sections of the wedding, she offered suggestions that reflected us, and made it easy for us to make selections that would be as seamless as though we wrote them ourselves. She withstood the windy beach setting without complaint, even when the weather turned an hour before our friends and family were to watch us wed. Sandi was always easy to reach by phone and email. It's important to note that as the date approached and last-minute details piled up, one thing we weren't stressed about was how the ceremony would go. Everything was in place well before our wedding day because of the work she did.

  Both Michael and Sandi are very classy and professional and it was a real joy to work with them. By the time our wedding rolled around it really felt as though we were being married by a friend. We can't recommend them more highly!

  I can't rave enough about Sandi. We met with her several times and between meetings, emails, phone calls.. I feel like we grew a bond. She REALLY took the time to get to know us. During our ceremony, Sandi brought our guests to tears with the stories she shared on our behalf.. like she had been in that moment with us. Thank you Sandi. You were the most memorable part of our ceremony and I hope others can share the same experience with you. We can't thank you enough.

  We met Michael and Sandi at the Wedding Expo in Santa Rosa (the one at the Hyatt)- we briefly talked to them, and moved on to other booths. We ended up circling back to them before we left and set up an appt to see them and discuss our ceremony needs, which they were happy to do. I felt I had a tall order (both my fiancé and I being divorced, both of us being Catholic but not able to re-marry in the Catholic church, the reverence we wanted for the ceremony.... I could go on, but you probably get it) My tall order seemed like no big deal to them at all, it was SUCH a relief! We ended up having to re-schedule our appt to a different time, but they were SO accommodating and NICE! Our meeting went flawlessly and we wrote a check before we even walked out. We can't wait for our ceremony! I may have to write another review after it's all said and done!

  We had a great experience working with Sandi. She delivered a very personal ceremony for us, having met us in person and gotten to know us in the preceding months to the wedding. A lot of our guests said ours was one of the most intimate, unique wedding ceremonies that they had attended.
  
  From the point when we booked her services to the day of our wedding, Sandi was very personable, responsive, and on top of everything. We first met with her in person a few months in advance of our wedding, when she took detailed notes on our background story and what we wanted out of our ceremony. She also gave us a few suggestions on different procedures to include in the ceremony like hand blessings and a wine box ritual. When it came to writing the ceremony, she was very collaborative and allowed us to preview the script and make edits.
  
  All in all, if you work with Sandi, you can expect a very well delivered, customized ceremony from someone who will care to get to know you. She will be completely prepared, know exactly what she needs to do, and solicit ample feedback from you to make sure you are getting what you want. She is also a very warm & kind person, easy to work with, and very professional. Very pleased to have chosen to work with her and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anybody planning a wedding.

  Sandi was one of our favorite parts of our wedding! She was truly lovely and helped us through what can be a very stressful process and made it easy.
  
  Sandi was in constant contact and checking in on how the planning was progressing. We met a few times prior to the wedding and she just got us as a couple immediately and wrote the most perfect vows. We did not have a single change from the draft. They were perfect!

  Michael was the best choice we made with our wedding vendors and I cannot recommend him more highly. We met him at the Santa Rosa wedding show and were immediately stuck by his warm, welcoming presence and caring demeanor.
  
  After deciding to move forward together he invited us to his home, where we met his lovely wife Sandi, and had a thoughtful discussion about our ideas for the ceremony. That special touch of hospitality set the tone for the whole planning process, he always made us feel like a top priority. In addition to our brainstorming session he also sent us a ceremony planning book which was very helpful. Michael was very organized and provided us with many options and recommendation to make our wedding ceremony special and unique to us. He was always open to our ideas and thanks to him the ceremony planning was really fun and rewarding.
  
  During the months and weeks leading up to our wedding he frequently checked in via phone and email to ensure we felt supported and that every detail was reviewed and accounted for. He did a wonderful job on the big day and everything went seamlessly. In addition to a special marriage certificate he also presented us with a bound copy of our vows which we will treasure.
  
  We feel so lucky to have found such a great choice – thank you Michael!

  Michael helped my new husband and I plan a destination wedding at The Bodega Bay Lodge. We are from the east coast, and love the Sonoma coastline, so it seemed the perfect place for us. Because we live on the other side of the country, we had to rely on Michael and others to help us put together the perfect day...and that it was! Michael spoke with us by phone several times in the months preceding the wedding, and got to know us well enough to put together a personal, funny, and very touching ceremony. He also sent us a book to help plan the entire day. Afterwards, Michael helped us with arrangements for our official marriage certificate. Having someone like Michael guiding the process from afar made our wedding dreams come true!

  I can't say enough good things about Michael and his wife, Sandi. After interviewing multiple officiants, my fiance and I decided to book with Michael and we are so glad we did. He is so communicative and easy to work with, and he collaborated with us to help write the perfect wedding ceremony (many of our wedding guests commented on how "meaningful" and "personal" our short, nonreligious ceremony was, and I think Michael had a lot to do with that!). He is incredibly friendly and warm and has so much enthusiasm and passion for what he does. My husband and I highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for a wedding officiant.

  My daughter and her fiancee were looking for someone who would represent them in their unique way at their wedding. They wanted a service that was truly 'theirs.' Michael's enthusiasm and professionalism was infused into their service and my son-in-law said he really 'hit a home run.' He was so personable and really listened to what they both wanted and delivered it as expected and then some.
  Thank you Michael for being such a wonderful officiant and providing such a beautiful and touching ceremony that was full of heartfelt Love by all who attended.

  We worked with Sandi McCracken for our wedding ceremony at Bodega Bay Lodge. Sandi helped us prepare the perfect ceremony, providing us with options for readings as well as guiding us as we wrote our own vows. My husband and are from out of state, and Sandi was super flexible and willing to meet with me during my only visit to the venue before the wedding. The rehearsal went smoothly and the ceremony was beautiful. The only hiccup was near the end of the ceremony, when even she was getting emotional, and she mispronounced my name as she announced us husband and wife. After the ceremony, Sandi took the signed marriage license and mailed it off to the county clerk for us, she even sent us home with a keepsake copy of the entire ceremony as well as a personalized marriage certificate. Overall we were thrilled to have worked with her to create our "perfect moment in time".
