    Writing this review late, but wanted to share my experience! We had such a great experience with milestones events, Alicia and her staff were my lifesaver!!! Hired them for full coordination for my destination wedding back home to Hawaii and it was so worth it! From changes in location to adding additional vendors Alicia was on top of it, always with a can do attitude and so flexible!! She recommended such great vendors and down to the details even loaned out her own decor!! She took our vision and turned it into a reality! 5 months later and we're still getting told how beautiful the wedding was!!! So thank you so much Alicia and Jen, would recommend you guys to anyone hiring a wedding planner, milestone events goes above and beyond!!!

    Alicia is in one word AMAZING!

    I am so happy to have found Milestone Events for our wedding. As a destination bride, I knew I needed someone in Hawaii to help coordinate with vendors as well as be there the day of the wedding. I researched quite a few wedding planners and when I talked to Alicia on the phone for the first time we instantly clicked! She is so nice, thoughtful, organized, easy to contact and knows the ins and outs of the industry.

    Alicia provided us with a list of recommended vendors, and while I did research other vendors, we went with everyone she recommend as they truly were the best and the right fit for our wedding. Alicia made the planning of the wedding way less stressful even though I could never make a decision and emailed Alicia all the time, she always had an answer for everything!

    A few days before the wedding it was announced that Hurricane Iselle was aiming to hit the island the night of the wedding. Since our wedding was outdoors, that was pretty much the worse and I had no idea at that point what to do. Well thank goodness for Alicia, she was so calming and reassuring and already had 2 back up plans in place.

    Day of the wedding the weather was gorgeous, however as it approached the start time of our ceremony the weather took a turn for the worse. Alicia and her team were out in the pouring rain, making sure our reception area and our guests weren't getting wet. If it wasn't for Alicia we would have been screwed. She was there the whole entire time and everything ran flawlessly! She even made the rain stop :)

    Thank you so much Alicia for everything we couldn't have asked for anything better! All of our guests commented on what an awesome job you did. The locals will be recommending you to all their friends as well as the entire bridal party wants you to be their wedding planners here in Canada!

    I didn't realize that I forgot to leave this feedback...sorry Alicia!

    First of all, I was a destination bride so I knew I would need some help. I was able to plan things and reserve everything but I hired Alicia (and Jen) so they can help me on the day of the wedding.

    Alicia and I were in contact months before the wedding. I flew to Hawaii in Sept (didn't get married until June) so we ironed out a lot of details then. In no time, she had a timeline for us ready!

    The day of the wedding went so smoothly! I didn't even realize all the hardwork she and Jen put in until after the wedding. All the details we talked about...from the timing of things to the placement of my decoration. I was so happy!

    Totally worth getting a planner whether or not they help you with the whole thing or the just on the day of! I recommend Alicia because of her passion to make your special day the best day! She has a lot of useful tricks up her sleeves! Thank you again Alicia!!!

    The best thing I ever did for my wedding was hire Alicia !! I can't even begin to express what an amazing job she did for us. The planning was so stress free and fun. I was able to enjoy every minute of the wedding. My family was able to relax and enjoy the event. She was able to translate our vision into reality. Tim and I were truly blown away the amount of work and attention to detail is amazing!! You think you know what it tales to plan a wedding but Alicia and her team were there to help us with things we never thought of. I remember getting to the venue and thinking this can't be my wedding it is too perfect. I can't say enough good things about Alicia !!! Really truly amazing ...I was a lucky bride to find her !!

    I cannot write enough positive reviews for Alicia with Milestone Events! She literally turned my dream wedding into a reality. We planned our May 2013 wedding from the mainland, and throughout our wedding planning process, she went above and beyond (a thousand times) for us. From phone calls, to emails and then sit-downs in person when we were visiting Hawaii, she was amazing. Honest, warm and beyond dedicated, Alicia is the only reason our wedding turned out the way that it did. She understood what was important to us, and she made those things a priority. All of the details (including coordinating with all my vendors and troubleshooting problems on the day of the wedding) would have been a nightmare, but Alicia took care of everything. I am so honored that I got the chance to work with her.

    Where to begin? Alicia Hollinger is an angel sent from Wedding Planning heaven. I really feel like she became part of the family during my wedding. She knew exactly what we needed when we needed it. She had fun creative ideas and her hard work never stopped! She was organized, on time and definitely the captain of our wedding ship. At any time if I had any questions she would stop what she was doing and explain the details to me. Her staff was just as good and she was a direct reflection of their leader. The night of the wedding was filled with a beautifully orchestrated ceremony/reception, attentive staff, and thoughtful details for our send off. Alicia is the only person that I would trust with my special day.

    Wow. I don't know where to start. First off, I'm the groom, so maybe there's a different perspective on this. I'll try and be brief as well. My wife and I agreed to have a small wedding to keep it simple and less expensive. Impossible. I was completely against hiring a wedding planner. I thought they were for rich people having huge weddings. I am a smart guy though and I gave in and hiring Alicia was literally the best decision we made through the entire process. I would always go to weddings where I knew the both sides of the families extensively and wonder who is that person that the bride and groom are SO close with? It was their wedding planner. And now I understand why. I could tell you how the DJ showed up with NO music for the ceremony (seriously.. a DJ with no music) and how she had our songs memorizes and downloaded them ON A BOAT on the way to the island and saved the entire ceremony.. Or I could tell you how I feel. A) I consider her a new good friend. A better friend than some of the old good friends. B) I feel like I can call her in 2 or 3 years, tell her that I have no idea what to get Christine for her birthday or anniversary, and she'd probably pull 5 incredible gift ideas out of her head in 2 minutes. She is that in tune with her clients, and that thoughtful. I'm sure there are other great wedding planners in Oahu, but I'd bet my surfboard collection Alicia is by far the best.
    Enjoy your wedding, use the best planner possible.

    Working with Alicia from Milestone Events was such a wonderful experience.

    My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with every detail that unfolded that day at Kualoa Ranch (Secret Island ceremony/ Hale Moli'i reception on 7/6/12). We were nothing but thrilled with the decor, her vendor recommendations, and the insanely amazing food by "Beaches and Backyards" Catering.

    She understood my vision and translated it to her many vendors to give us the simple, fun, but elegant event that we desired. We gave both our local and out-of-town guests a great upscale luau that they will never forget - complete with a fire show from Chief Sielu!! What a wonderfully fun and fantastic time.

    She knew when to fight for something that I really wanted (wooden tables, no rented tablecloths and plastic tables!) balanced with advice based on her own experience with the venue and the many weddings she has overseen. (Rent a tent in case it rains even if you want to dine under the stars. Trust me - do it.)

    I live in San Francisco and we held phonecalls as needed since I couldn't meet her in person. She came prepared for our calls with great suggestions and helped to brainstorm on the spot for unique ideas to make the event special but to keep our budget in mind. We shared updates and photos and checked in as needed. I didn't even meet her until we flew to Oahu for the big event, but felt as if I had known her for years. I was in complete trust of her services and cannot recommend her enough.

    Alicia and her staff were truly amazing! She helped to transform the idea and style of our wedding day into a personal, intimate event that was exactly what we wanted, and within our budget! She has vision for the details and the drive and execution to ensure that every box is checked. She made us feel taken care of and confident in her that allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our big day! Alicia and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with and the best investment in our wedding day. I couldn't have been happier with her service!

    It was Alicia's (Milestone Events Hawaii) efforts that really made our wedding day the happiest day of my life. She was the "glue" that caused all the various vendors and guests to cohese into a unified, glorious evening of enchantment and joy.

    Alicia coordinated/planned my wedding on the north shore in May 2011 and did a fantastic job. She was very responsive during the planning phase and kept strictly to the budget I gave her. I left the design of the tables and overall setup to her and the results were breathtaking. It was more beautiful than what I had imagined. She was truly a delight to work with, and she made my wedding day stress-free.

    Alicia was wonderful to work with for our Day of Wedding Coordination. We planned our Wedding overseas in Australia and it was wonderful to have her work with us and realize that with her excellent organization and attention to detail our vision would become a reality with the set up on the wedding day. We truly appreciate Alicia's role our day in Paradise.

    Alicia was able to jump in the middle of our American & Australian Families with ease (and much laughter) and helped coordinate our Rehearsal at Kualoa Ranch. She also was able to see to the set up and break down on our wedding day, communicate and liase with vendors, and ensure that Moli'i Gardens was broken down that evening to the terms of Kualoa Ranch. Alicia is flexible, upbeat, professional, and great to work with to help you accomplish a beautiful wedding!

    Alicia and her staff were amazing!! Planning a destination wedding from the mainland is not an easy task, but I would do it all over again if I got to work with Alicia - she made everything easy, stress-free, and every time I got off the phone with her I immediately felt better and more excited about getting married! I don't understand how people get married and not hire a day of wedding coordinator...Alicia had everything running smoothly (she was definitely in charge!), but was discreet, professional and friendly throughout it all. Even my family and friends commented on what a great job she did and I will definitely be giving her name to anyone who asks!! Thanks Alicia, Jen and Sonny Perez

    There are not enough words to express my extreme gratitude to Alicia for all she did on extremely short notice. I hired her just a few weeks before my wedding. I had no clue all that needed to be done for a simple wedding, but quickly realized I needed help. Who could possibly know all that one needs to do for a wedding?!! well....Alicia does! I had a little vision (especially for what I didn't want!) and I relayed this to Alicia over two short meetings. She worked with me to help me combine my desires with practicality and needs. As soon as our contract was signed, Alicia provided me with a very comprehensive binder that organized everything wedding related. From a timeline of events and To Do's to what photos you want your photographer to take. And the best part is, though I had this binder and could have as much control as I wanted, Alicia,with her amazing vision, and knowing what was needed and what could be left out, literally took care it ALL for me, better than I ever could have dreamed. She chose and met with the florist, DJ, hair stylist, you name it. She even shopped for all the decor! I didn't have to do anything. (Though I had the option of meeting with them if I wanted to. Given the time constraints I chose to trust Alicia and she didn't let me down.) I still can't get over how beautiful the wedding was. So many friends told me they had been to many island weddings before but this one topped them all. I told them it was all Alicia! If I had to do it all over again, the only thing I would change is that I would have hired her a lot sooner!! Mahalo Alicia and your Milestone Events Hawaii staff! You made my wedding day more beautiful and special than I could have ever imagined!

    Alicia was recommended to us and we were very happy with her service. We had very little idea what we wanted for our wedding and only a few things we new we wanted. She was very easy to work with and she helped us get on track and provided ideas that made our wedding absolutely beautiful. I don't know how we could have planned this wedding without her. We absolutely would recommend Milestone Events Hawaii to everyone.

    Alicia was amazing!!! My husband and I were debating on whether or not to hire a wedding coordinator for our wedding, but I am so happy we did, it was honestly one of the best decisions we made. Not living in Hawaii where our wedding was made it a little difficult for some of the planning, but Alicia took away any of the stress that might have caused. Any question that I had she had answer for me or if not she would always look into it for me and get back to me right away. She was such a pleasure to work with! My wedding honestly turned out even better than I had hoped. I wanted a lot of personal touches included in my wedding and Alicia made all my hard work come to life. During the wedding all I had to worry about was relaxing and having a great time! I never once experienced any kind of stress the day of my wedding or the days leading up to the wedding, and for me that was priceless. After the wedding I think I went through withdrawals because i had become so use to having Alicia a part of my day! I would recommend her to everyone and can't wait to one day work with her again! Thank you Alicia for making my day unforgettable!

    First of all, we hired Alicia five weeks before our wedding, after terminating our contract with our previous coordinator. Alicia jumped right in and really "got it" right from the start. Throughout the five weeks leading up to the wedding, she kept us organized and on track. She thought of a lot of little details that we had not thought of. She was incredibly organized. Most of all though, she busted her butt running around for us on the day of the wedding. She was on-site all day, running around, but still managed to keep a smile on her face. I was able to relax and let go of all the details on our wedding day because I knew that she had everything covered, and I trusted her to make any last-minute decisions that needed to be made. Her services were worth much more than we paid, and we couldn't have asked for more.

    Alicia was amazing! We hired her for day-of-coordination, but she did so much more than that. She worked with us a month in advance, planning a schedule for our rehearsal and wedding day and making sure that all our vendors were on the same page. On our wedding day, she picked up our leis, made sure that the hotel decorated our ballroom correctly, and most importantly, made sure that the groom and groomsmen showed up on-time for our early morning photo session. She also assured that the program went smoothly and kept time for us. She made sure that our gifts made it back to our room and most importantly, that we ENJOYED our day. She was even diagnosed with viral meningitis about a week and a half before our wedding and ended up in the hospital. Still, she didn't skip a beat and miraculously was 100% by the time our rehearsal rolled around. I love Alicia! Because of her, I was COMPLETELY RELAXED AND CALM throughout the whole day. Alicia was always calm, upbeat, and highly organized and never got frazzled about anything. Because of her calm demeanor, I was calm, too. We had the perfect wedding that we dreamed of, thanks to Alicia. I recommend her to everyone planning a wedding!

    Alicia and her team are a dream come true!! Multiple vendors recommended her to us, and we are so happy we took their advice. We had a destination wedding with 150 guests, and Alicia and her team made all of the coordination stress free and helped bring all of our dreams to reality!

    I was so amazed how smoothly everything went on our wedding day. Alicia went above and beyond and thought about so many details I wasn't even expecting. She brought her own gold chargers for our sweetheart table as an added touch, and touchup kits for the bathrooms with bug spray, etc. for our guests. She made sure we were on schedule for every event, but was able to go with the flow when the speeches went a little long (thanks, dad ;) ) and we had to move around the fire performance. We were able to enjoy every moment of our big day thanks to Alicia's awesome team handling all of the details and taking on all the stress.

    She is fun to get to know and has a loving and care-free personality. She is very organized, has amazing relationships with the best vendors on the island, and was able to work with us on complicated requests (ie. party buses, after party venue, spontaneous singing by the groom) while still staying within our budget. She coordinated all of the colors and style since we were in California and couldn't see everything in person, and when we showed up at the venue on our wedding day it was even more than we had imagined. Our guests absolutely loved her and her team, and we received numerous compliments about how amazing she was and what a great job her and her team were doing. We were all in awe of how perfectly it all came together.

    Thank you Milestone Events Hawaii for making it the best day of our lives, and an event we will all remember forever!!
