  Amazing, effortless, 11/10

  We used Miraglia Catering for our wedding at Preservation Park in Oakland a few weeks ago and we absolutely cannot say enough GREAT things about them. From the very first contact, they have been nothing but wonderful, responsive, prompt, and professional. We worked primarily with Janice to get all of the details ready for our big day and she was patient, kind, and responsive to every single email and call over the past year about little things, big things, and things we forgot to think about up until the last minute.
  
  Miraglia handled everything from linens, to bartenders, to glassware, to waitstaff, and everyone we met was absolutely wonderful. Their prices are by far the best in the area so LOOK NO FURTHER, and their menu packages are incredibly customizable which allowed us to create exactly the wedding we envisioned, including late night breakfast sandwiches, (they were a hit to say the very least).
  
  The day of details like making plates for us so we didn't have to go through the buffet line, and sending us home with some late night snacks made us feel so taken care of, especially by Jim who genuinely made everything feel effortless and seamless. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about all of our food, including the vegans! We aren't planning on having a second wedding anytime soon, but we would certainly use Miraglia 100 more times if we could.

  Very happy with Miraglia!

  We chose Miraglia Catering for our wedding in the Brazilian Room. There are simply awesome. Working with Janice was so easy and pleasant, they were so organized, made really good recommendations but weren't overbearing in their suggestions. They know the space really well, and I had absolutely no worries or stress about the food and drink service on the day of. The food was also delicious! We had a taco/burrito buffet bar with Jicama salad, I highly recommend it!

  Delicious food, Beautiful presentation

  You won't regret choosing Miraglia for your catering! Their food is delicious (I personally loved their tri-tip, my mouth is watering thinking of it), their staff is very friendly, and they way they present both the food and the table settings is top-notch. They are very responsive via email, and their contract is very easy to read through. I also love how many options are available on their menu, and how customizible everything is. You can't go wrong with Miraglia!

  So far, just did tasting, settled on menu, made first payment. Great food, very flexible, costs less than others we researched, very friendly. Looking forward to working with them at the wedding.   My daughter-in-law and I were impressed from the very beginning when we met with Mike Miraglia for the tasting at the San Leandro site. We had a squirmy 1 year old with us, but he was patient and took the time to make notes of all of our concerns and wishes. The food was delicious - and was just the same at the wedding itself. There were some last minute changes that we made in the bar set up, but Cheryl Miraglia was helpful and, together, we found solutions that worked. Jim Miraglia was the head staff at our wedding breakfast at the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park, and after introducing himself that morning, I never had to summon him again. All worked like clockwork. This is an experienced catering company - family run - and with staff that works hard to make events memorable. We were very pleased with Miraglia catering, and cannot recommend them highly enough.

We couldn’t have been happier!! I was already familiar with Miraglia’s incredible food and great service, and both of these things are so important at a wedding.
  
  Working and planning with Karen at Miraglia was a breeze. From the outset, she was incredibly professional and did everything she could to make sure that we would have exactly the event we wanted. Her recommendations about everything from linens to a “rain plan” were spot-on, and she was very nice and responsive in addressing all of our dozens of questions and concerns throughout the planning process. Her experience with working with the venue was invaluable as she was very familiar with the Brazilian Room’s strict rules and event timelines.
  
  On the day of the event, the chair and table setup/teardown, place settings, bar, service, and coordination were perfect! On top of everything, the food was outstanding and highly complimented by our guests. Everything about Miraglia and working with Karen was a dream come true, and choosing them means one less thing you have to worry about on the day of your wedding.

  We just had our tasting with Karen and the team. First of all... Karen = AMAZING. We had previously met with a caterer from another company and we left feeling unintelligent and down. Then we met with Karen. It was night and day. From the first minute she was enthusiastic, cheery, and telling us all of our ideas were possible and that she could do it well. She then, in the right way, gave us the pro's and con's to what we originally thought we wanted and how it could play out. Basically- you tell her what you want and she'll figure it out. Even though we didn't go with every idea we pitched her- it was nice to know that instead of say, "Well- we can't really do that," she would tell us how she could do it and what some other options were as well. We had our tasting- and the food is amazing! So far so good with everything! If you want a great caterer that is going to make you feel special, be really responsive, and make what you want happen... then Karen and Miraglia is the right caterer for you. We'll update after the wedding as well.

  I found out about Miraglia through our venue, which had a list of preferred vendors for us to work with for our wedding. We selected them right away after we met Karen, who was fabulous! I worked with Karen throughout the entire planning process and she was always on top of it. She knows her stuff! It never took more than a day for her to get back to us and explained everything to us very thoroughly so knew what to expect. The day of our wedding the staff were excellent and professional; they served the bridal party hors d'oeuvres RIGHT after the ceremony ended so we could get through the photo session, and even made sure the bridal party all got a drink from the bar. After the festivities were over, they even made us a care package with sandwiches and some of our wedding cake. I never had any worries about the food the day of because I knew I was in good hands with Karen's team. Everyone loved the food so much that many have asked who we used so they could plan their next event! Don't look anywhere else - MIraglia is your caterer!

  Miraglia Catering offers a great variety of foods, all of which are delicious and affordable. They were able to work within our budget and provide a very memorable wedding dinner for us and our guests. They are extremely responsive and Karen is very fun and friendly. We really enjoyed working with her and she always got back to us within 1-2 days during the week, which we really appreciated. All of our guests complimented how great the food was, and the staff took great care of us - they even brought me (the bride) food to the bridal suite before the ceremony to ensure I had eaten, even though they weren't contracted to be ready to serve until the end of the ceremony! The staff were so friendly and able to accommodate our last-minute needs onsite as well. I would highly recommend Miraglia!

  Wonderful caterer. Very professional. They can help you plan out many parts of your wedding. Karen, who was out primary point of contact was amazing. She gave us plenty of material to help us plan our wedding, much of which wasn't catering specific. She just wanted to help us out.
  
  We did have an odd request we placed on them, we wanted a whole filipino pork lechon. They were able to find someone who could do it and delivered a fantastic whole pig, at a great price no less.
  
  At the wedding, they catering was perfect. The bar tender was attentive, the food was hot and delicious, and cook was friendly and helpful.

  Miraglia was fantastic! From the very first phone call, Karen was professional, attentive, thorough and so caring! My husband and I are both vegan and she didn't even bat an eye! She crafted a wonderful menu, to please all palates! All of our guests talked about how amazing the food was--everyone was craving that tomato tart for weeks afterwards! The staff the day-of were amazing and so nice. Easy to work worth, great value, great food and great staff--what more could I ask for?!?! Thank you, Miraglia!

  Gluten Free Magic

  Excellent food, excellent service! I have celiac disease and have always dreamed of a gluten free brunch wedding with fried chicken and waffles. The food was AMAZING, my guests couldn't get enough, and my celiac friends we're thrilled to be told they could eat everything at the entire wedding.
  
  Cheryl was extremely easy to work with. There were some back and forth with contracts and communications that made things occasionally irritating, but the end result was pure magic. I highly recommend Cheryl and her team!

  Miraglia did a fantastic job catering at our wedding at the Chabot Space Center! They are a preferred vendor and know the venue very well, so it was very straightforward in terms of setup and how we wanted things organized. They were pretty flexible to how we wanted things, but also made us aware if any kind of setup was not a good idea or just not feasible for the location. We ended up going with their recommendations most of the time because they were so familiar with the location. The food was phenomenal and everyone loved the s'mores station that they had. The appetizers were delicious and we also special requested an asian style pork which was a big hit and my favorite bite to eat that day! We also hired a day of assistant and they got us Bonnie, who did a very good job at setting things up and making sure we had food and drink at all times. We didn't realize how crazy things would get and how much you forget to eat, so we were very happy to have someone checking on us. Karen was our go to from the start and was always very responsive via email (we had a LOT of questions). She even came the day of to make sure things were going smoothly and to say hi, so that was very nice! They are priced on the higher side of what we initially budgeted, but you can pick and choose what you want, and in the end, it was all worth it! It was a very memorable night and Karen made it happen! I think as a couple, you also have to be very on top of it, organized and detail oriented if you are doing DIY and want things a certain way. We took photographs of the venue and made notes of what we wanted where. Then, with all of our decor, we took photographs of how we wanted each setup to look. That definitely helped make things run more smoothly because we had a relatively short setup time. Mirgalia was professional from start to finish and very well organized. We are very pleased to have them be part of our special day!

The appetizers were delicious and we also special requested an asian style pork which was a big hit and my favorite bite to eat that day! We also hired a day of assistant and they got us Bonnie, who did a very good job at setting things up and making sure we had food and drink at all times. We didn't realize how crazy things would get and how much you forget to eat, so we were very happy to have someone checking on us. Karen was our go to from the start and was always very responsive via email (we had a LOT of questions). She even came the day of to make sure things were going smoothly and to say hi, so that was very nice! They are priced on the higher side of what we initially budgeted, but you can pick and choose what you want, and in the end, it was all worth it! It was a very memorable night and Karen made it happen! I think as a couple, you also have to be very on top of it, organized and detail oriented if you are doing DIY and want things a certain way. We took photographs of the venue and made notes of what we wanted where. Then, with all of our decor, we took photographs of how we wanted each setup to look. That definitely helped make things run more smoothly because we had a relatively short setup time. Mirgalia was professional from start to finish and very well organized. We are very pleased to have them be part of our special day!

  It has been two months since my wedding and I'm sorry to say that I'm FINALLY getting around to reviewing Miraglia Catering. It would have been easy enough to forget reviewing them, but honestly I couldn't EVER forget how amazing they were.
  
  Although they command a premium, it's well worth it. Every detail of the reception was clearly communicated, planned, and executed. If you want a company that knows what they're doing, brings professional staff, and provides food that's AMAZING, then Miraglia is your choice.
  
  My wife and I had 200 guests in a backyard wedding reception. Miraglia provided everything from the tables & chairs, linens & table settings, umbrellas & heaters, and of course the wonderful food & attentive staff.
  
  From Karen who is like Superman: By day she's a mild-mannerd catering saleslady but by night she's a wedding-coordinating-superhero, to Mike who is one of the most amazing people I've ever had the pleasure to meet, to Jim who can run circles around any of those prime-time cooks you see on TV...it makes me feel very lucky to have found them.

  Miraglia's food was delicious, and Karen was very helpful at the beginning of our wedding planning process, answering all of my questions and even recommending our fantastic wedding coordinator, Caitlin Arnold.
  
  As our wedding date got closer, things were less ideal. Karen reluctantly let us do a tasting even though we were supposed to have done it earlier (though we were never approached about scheduling this and the deadline appeared as a small detail in our contract). Who would choose wedding food without a tasting? She was also a bit inflexible in dealing with our coordinator about our set-up diagrams.
  
  Despite the great food, we ended up with a sour taste in our mouth when we got our final invoice and discovered that she had snuck in charges for vendor appetizers, bar, and snacks when our coordinator had expressly quoted numbers not including vendors. Our wedding coordinator made sure that vendors did not snag apps or get drinks from the bar during our wedding. Karen later told us that our coordinator's numbers were "way off" even though her reply to our coordinator's quote was that everything looked great.
  
  This extra cost didn't amount to a lot, but Karen was resistant to removing it, saying she'd have to talk to the owners. We let it go, but it's a shame to think that the reputation of their business is worth so little that they will resort to nickel and diming their customers. While our wedding went off without a hitch, we can't say we're as pleased with our interactions with Miraglia.

  Unfortunately for us the relationship with this caterer started off great but then there was a change in the event planning person because he resigned. The quality of service quickly declined. We also found that their cost to provide alcoholic beverages were really high and overall prices were high. We ended up hiring outside waiters because it was cheaper to go that route but in the end extra work for us.
