Delicious food and spectacular drinks from EXTRAORDINARY people. It was an honor to work with Marc and his team at Miss Lucy’s Kitchen! When people are still talking about the food and drinks over a month later, you know they absolutely crushed it at the wedding. Our planner Kate gave us a list in the very beginning to help us search for different caterers…with the preface that we couldn’t go wrong with Miss Lucy’s. We decided to reach out, and from that moment on, it was like we gained another family member who was there throughout every single little step of the wedding process. Marc was outrageously accommodating to our every whim and want – he even drove to NYC multiple times to meet my husband to discuss details because we live in Pennsylvania and it was quite a hike for us to go back and forth to the Hudson Valley. He’s hilarious, extremely kind and caring, and when it comes to food…you just can’t beat him. We visited Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in Saugerties, NY frequently over our two-ish year long process, and every single time, he welcomed us with open arms, helped us figure out the details behind the food and the drinks…and jumped wholeheartedly into every other little detail you could possibly imagine including picking tables, chairs, different bars, and even helping us with floor plans and the logistics of the day. You seriously aren’t going to find another caterer that’s willing to be so involved in your big day – he’s beyond professional when it comes to getting everything done on time…and doing it well. Marc also knows a lot of the vendors in the area, and works well with them, so having him as a part of our wedding team was quite frankly one of the best decisions we made for that whole day and night. We cannot thank him and his team enough for everything they did to help us throw the biggest party of our lives. He welcomed not only us when we visited his restaurant from out of town, but our family members as well when we happened to bring them along. The food, the drinks, the service was always top notch – I wish I could give them more than five stars. Our family and friends devoured every morsel of Miss Lucy’s divine cuisine and pretty much ran both bars dry – the cocktails were out of this world! If you truly want an unforgettable experience, whether it is for the food, the drinks, the accommodations, or even the friendship you will inevitably form, do yourself a huge favor and work with Marc and Miss Lucy’s Kitchen! Marc and his team were amazing! We picked a location that did not have a kitchen or even running water and we had several family members scare us into thinking that the food was never going to be good. Marc assured us that things were not going to just be good but in fact great and man was he right! To start, the appetizers were phenomenal and Marc's staff even made sure that myself and my husband got our own plate of everything so we didn't miss a bite! Then the dinner course did not disappoint and we had several people tell us that the dinner was not just good for wedding food, but an overall amazing meal! If you are looking for a caterer who can make amazing food no matter the location and has a team of people who know how to get the job done well then Miss Lucys is for you! -

Where do we start with Miss Lucy's? I'm not sure I can go on describing all of the things, big and small, that Marc did for our wedding. Not only is he a great chef who offered us an array of vegetarian options, which all of our 150 guests loved, he takes great attention to detail and is always organized with lists ready to get things accomplished as soon as possible. Wherever possible he took things of my plate and dealt with them himself. Whether it was with my tent company or venue, both whom he was working with for the first time, he was patient, transparent, cost-effective, and completely independent and self-sufficient when appropriate. Marc is a no-bullshit guy with an intense personality, which you can certainly appreciate when planning your own wedding. We now consider him our friend, and look forward to eating his food again soon when we visit the restaurant.
Shout-out to Marc's incredible staff as well. Carol rules! And everyone else was amazing that day too, helping with anything and everything under the tent and by the pool before food even began. They helped perfect the tables to my very specific standards, which I could not have done myself. Then, when things got rolling, as servers and bartenders, they were simply 100%. Thanks for everything, Marc & Miss Lucy's team. We had a perfect day. -

Lindsay Sent on 03/22/2018Marc and his team were nothing short of amazing for our wedding day! Everyone continues to RAVE about how delicious the food and drinks were. From the beginning, Marc helped us create the perfect menu to match our tastes. He easily accommodated our family-style request and his staff worked their TAILS off going up and down stairs to their food truck to deliver to our guests. It was truly unbelievable, the food was outstanding and the service was TOP NOTCH!

We used Miss Lucy's to cater our wedding at The Kaaterskill three years ago and we still hear from family and friends about how good the food was. This year - for our anniversary - I called Marc to see if he'd be willing to ship us some food for our anniversary dinner. He said he would but he couldn't ship it because he was worried the food wouldn't stay fresh if shipped - and that he would be happy to drive it to us (two hours away). I tried to talk him out of it but he insisted. Our anniversary dinner was incredibly special - the food, delicious as always - and I can't think Marc and Miss Lucy's enough for going way above and beyond for our special occasion. We are and will continue to be lifetime fans! -
User1823056 Sent on 09/22/2014There are truly no words to describe the gratitude that I have for Marc Propper and Miss Lucy's. First things first: the food. Honest-to-God excellent food and drinks. Over and over people have said it was the best food they had ever had a a wedding. That is wasn't "wedding food" because it was too good. So there's that.
However, beyond that, Marc was like my full service wedding planner, Pinterest page and surrogate Dad. He's the coolest guy, had the best suggestions, steered me clear of tacky, wastefully expensive mistakes and just at all times made me feel like I was in good hands. That he would take care of it all, and that I wouldn't have to worry or micro-manage. In itself, that peace of mind would have been worth the cost of his catering. But then we got killer food and drinks on top of that.
Seriously, hire this guy. I can't imagine getting better beginning to end service. He's a real gem. -

Pulling from his 2 restaurants, Miss Lucy's Kitchen and The 'Cue, he worked with us to create a delicious BBQ dinner buffet with signature cocktails, lovely passed appetizers, and some amazing pudding and pies for dessert (we opted out of a cake). His food is very quality, local, and many people have told us since the wedding how much they really enjoyed it, as wedding food is usually not that great! I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

User1246620 Sent on 07/18/2013First and foremost, the food was amazing--from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the BBQ-style dinner to the desserts. We have received so many compliments on the food. They also made a special vegetarian entrée which was delicious. Secondly, working with Marc could not have been easier. He is very knowledgeable about putting on weddings and is familiar with a lot of resources in the area (florist, DJ, hair salon, etc.). He helped guide us through the process of planning a wedding while being completely receptive to all of our ideas. He met with us several times prior to the wedding (for two site visits and tasting) and was responsive to my many emails. One thing I really appreciated is that he stayed focused on what my husband and I wanted. We were the ultimate deciders--not other family members (i.e., moms). Marc's staff, the servers and bartenders, were professional yet easygoing and did a great job setting up our reception site. It looked beautiful. I highly, highly recommend Miss Lucy's and Marc.

User995869 Sent on 10/30/2012Marc Propper from Miss Lucy's / Cue Shack is the BEST. He deilvered tasty, attractive, elegantly displayed food using local and seasonal produce. He is responsive, flexible, has reasonable rates, impeccable taste, both visually and palette alike, as well as fun and easy-going. He took care of rentals (linens, chairs, tables, sound, all of it), servers, and everything food related from cocktail hour all the way through reception and desserts. His prices are very reasonable and our guests loved the food. We selected from his "Cue Shack" menu for main entrees and he worked with us on seasonal, colorful chilled sides to compliment the savory BBQ. It was presented extremely elegantly, all sauces on the side, full linens on the catering table, catering staff all very well manicured and professional. He was also so wonderful if I had an idea or concept change and while our guest list fluctuated. He was truly unflappable and accommodating and I couldn't have asked for a better catering partner for the wedding. -
User1204335 Sent on 06/17/2013Marc Propper and Miss Lucy's Kitchen catered our recent wedding in Catskill, NY at the Kaaterskill Inn. The food was plentiful and exceptionally delicious; the staff was very professional and everything proceeded smoothly. Leading up to our wedding, Marc was generous with his time, speaking by phone, scheduling tastings and walk-throughs, chatting with us when we stopped by his restaurant in Saugerties (which, by the way, is excellent). He was very flexible in designing drinks and a food menu that we liked. Importantly, he was up on the phone with us two days before our end-of-May wedding brainstorming about heating the barn when the forecast was a crazy 45 degrees (!) and went out of his way the next day to pick up a heater for us. Highly recommended.
