I need a business plan like this place…
Out over $3,000…
First off, I did not stay here, so I am not here to speak on that part.
My issue is their business practices and policies when slight leniency could be given; rigidity creates poor experiences and this was one. My now ex-finance canceled the contract, which I paid for ($3k of the $5k); however, one of the owners, Monica, would not transfer the contract to my name and allow me to pay the balance, so I could use it for my friends and family that were still to flying in.
I am a business owner myself and in my 40’s and would treat any place I go with respect. A local business I work with was loaning me, at no cost, their BBQ pit because I am trust worthy. I mention this because apparently Monica informed my ex (and not me) via text that she would not transfer due to that we would damage her place! One could think that to be slanderous.
I brought these items to Monica’s attention, that I would pay the balance upfront and adhere to her contract, however, I suppose it is easier to keep the monies and do nothing; again great business model! Her communication was/is unprofessional and really becomes a buyer beware; willing to take my money, but not allow me to be on the contract. Life lesson?
The positive is the place looks nice and seems like a great fit to stay for any type of event, I suggest to anyone you check it out; Unfortunately, , just be leery of the business practices and what you sign (or do not sign). I wanted to pay the $2k balance, but she pulled the ‘your name is not on the contract.’ Now the heart is broke and the pocket book is additional $3k drained….smdh Buyer Beware!
